I was in a couple weeks ago to buy some running shoes that might offer me more support post-op. I have one pair of athletic shoes that have helped reduce my pain that I’ve been wearing for years and Garrett helped me find the new version of them. He was knowledgeable and helpful and brought me tons of shoes to try on, refining his recommendations as I gave feedback. He helped me find extra insoles and even a pair of shoes that met my needs that were on sale. I ended up buying the sale shoes and a newer version of my current Brooks favorites. I’ve been wearing the shoes regularly for a few weeks and have noticed a difference. Thanks, Garrett!

Great local running store in Cherry Creek with knowledgeable experts who can help to fit you in the perfect running shoes. I already know a lot about running shoes, however, I love the ability to try on so many different pairs of specialty running shoes and stay up to date with the latest shoe technology. In a world of E-commerce putting many brick-and-mortar stores out of business, I always feel good spending my money to support local businesses that benefit/promote the running community.

I just had a wonderful experience here. I was helped by Esteban Logan and Alex who combined helped me pick out a new pair of Hoka sneakers. I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of all three of them and would highly recommend this store to anyone who like me has a history of foot problems and is looking for good solid knowledge of the right shoe for the right type of foot situation. If you know what you want before going in this would be a solid store though I suspect if you did youd just purchase online. I have been here three times and never had a shortage of employees standing around the counter but never once been offered help. Today I stood in the store for 15 minutes with no help so I’ll buy shoes online.

First time in the store today. A TON of brands and options in footwear and clothing. All top of the line quality. Expensive but an extremely helpful associate or maybe manager, Maggie, listened to my needs and steered me to a clearance sneaker and its perfect. Great design. I put them on and headed to the mall. Just set the new fastest time for the Cherry Creek Mall amateur 10k. I’ll be back.

Ive been a runner my whole life and Ive been to many running stores across the nation and theres always a recurring theme for the ones that stand out. Knowledge and care. When the staff have the knowledge to find a solution to your problem and care enough to follow up on that solution youve found a store that becomes your home. Joshua and the team always go above and beyond to not only make sure you feel comfortable shopping during Covid-19 but they made sure to address my needs as a runner. Offering up great advice for finding a new watch but also reassuring me on my choice of footwear. The selection for running gear is probably one of the largest in the country and the on-going deals they have with nutrition has me returning to stock up. If you are looking for a store to get you started in your running career or to find a unique item to keep you going this place is the standard. Also, If you made it through this long review then you can finish a marathon.

Disappointed in the return policy here, they say it’s 100% satisfaction guaranteed but it’s only for the first 30 days. Bought a pair of Hokas that had a piece of plastic in the upper causing the top of my foot to bleed but they wouldn’t accept the return. Will likely just purchase from REI now with their 365 day return policy.

Incompetent and rude staff. I asked for them to help me find the right running shoe before boot camp and they shoved a pair in front of me without even measuring my foot! When I said I did not want a random shoe and was looking for something more catered to me, the guy said well forget about parking validation. and walked away! Disgusting

I walked into this store not really knowing anything about proper footwear for running. I made that clear to the gentlemen who helped me and after seeing what would best fit me I was given some shoes to try on. Even after trying and seeing a few different shoes I saw on my way to the check out I still settled on the pair that was recommended. Very friendly and knowledgeable people working here. Ordered a pair or running shoes a week ago, ran in them twice and they developed large holes in the toe. I’ve never seen shoes do this before. I brought them in to return/exchange and they blamed me and refused to exchange. I ran in these normally and the product was defective but they refused to believe me. Go elsewhere; the customer service here is not good. Don’t expect an honest refund/exchange.

I was in this place a couple times on a Sunday and bought two pair of Altra running shoes. The shoe assistant was a pleasure to work with. I love my shoes.

Good selection of running gear, and has one of the best selections for men. I find it hard to find good running gear, and most places in and around Denver carry more womens gear than men. This store is quite large and carries things for both men and women.

I requested being safe at the Cherry Creek store and got Elise, who was amazing. She wore a mask and gloves and let me sit at least 9 ft away near the open door. She new her shoes and fitted me with a pair of Hokas that I love. Highly recommended!!!!!

Super helpful staff went out of their way to help. I had a flat tire toward the end of a 20-mile bike ride and stopped in to see if they had any equipment I could use/buy even though theyre a running store and runners are evil;) They had a few bikes to demo their indoor trainers. At first they were going to let me try and pilfer a tube from one of their display bikes, but we discovered the wheels were tubeless! Then Josh went through one of their repair kits and let me have a patch. I tried to pay them for the kit and they refused to take my money! With one free patch and the use of their pump and I was back on the path riding! Thanks Boulder Running Company, Josh, and the new girl whose name I didnt get!

5/21/20 very bad experience. I definitely didnt feel welcomed or wanted while there. I was looking at buying a pair of running shoes, guy hovers over me. Doesnt ask if I want to try anything on. I asked him if I could try on a pair of shoes. He LITERALLY ignored me (no exaggeration) such an awkward thing to do. I ask about another pair of shoes, he says he doesnt know (end of conversation/nothing else is said). I leave, thats it. There is a lost sale to BRC.Hey man, if youre reading this and think this is funny. Joke is on you its your job not mine. I would recommend taking a customer service course, good luck.

I LOVE BRC - incredible customer service and help. Im a more experienced (IE OLD) runner with sore knees. I described my problem and they put me in some perfect shoes and my knees have stopped being sore! Great running community to be a part of.

I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a Garmin watch so I came here because I know he likes to shop here. Customer Service is always great, very friendly and helpful. I wanted to make sure he got his points from this large sale but I knew that he would receive an email informing him of his points and I didn’t want that to ruin the surprise. The employee was kind enough to make sure that the email didn’t get sent and I would see the points added on the printed receipt. Again, the staff is great and they usually have a ton of great shoes on sale. My boyfriend is extremely happy with his new gift! I’m sure we’ll be back soon to blow more money :) thanks for the fast and friendly service!

I thought this place was great! Ive been a competitive runner for a while now, and I was pleased that the staff I met were either college runners or had just finished their collegiate running career. They were a blast to discuss running with, and their recommendations were spot on. They have a good selection, though a bit pricey. However, my wife found a sale that got her two perfect pairs of shoes for less than $40, so there are deals to be found!

Absolutely the worst running store Ive visited, by far. Customer service is non-existent. Its like the store is too big and the employees get lost and dont know where they are. No one will acknowledge your presence, even if you stand at the shoe wall with a shoe in hand. Go to Runners Roost, go to REI, just dont go here.

This store has the best service. My grandson was not sure if style or brand, they helped him with explanation of each shoe and let him try on as many as he wanted!! Definitely recommend!

Went in yesterday after work because I really needed a new pair of running shoes. I got helped and I completely forgot his name but he was so knowledgeable. I told him I had a torn meniscus and had taken a break from running and wanted to get back into it, I love running and honestly thought because of my knee issues I wouldn’t be able to continue to do it. Well that wasn’t the case. I was buying the wrong shoes this entire time. After trying on a few pairs and he kept me within my budget of under $100, I settled on some Altra solstice’s. I went for a short 2 mile run last night and I’m really impressed with the shoe. Not only did he listen to me he gave me information on my running gait and how if I start working on correcting it I should be able to run a lot easier. Thanks so much boulder running company I went in to buy shoes and ended up learning so much more about a hobby I’m really passionate about!! You have a life time customer ❤️

Had an amazing experience. I believe it was Zach that helped me. I came in telling him I kept having shin splints with my Ons and he looked down and instantly knew why. So he went ahead watched how I walked and I told him about how I pronate and he knew exactly what shoes for me to try. He also watched me run on the treadmill and it was a awesome that he was able to see what I was thinking in the way shoes felt. Which felt pretty validating For me to actually be aware of how my shoes feel. I really appreciate his effort to find me a good show and I feel like Im now able to enjoy running again since I won’t be in pain anymore. Thank you :) (again I think his name was Zach)

Theres no substitute for a dedicated specific store to address a runners needs. The shop caters to both the running focused and fashion oriented with friendly and helpful staff. Theyre equipped with a treadmill for gait assessment or test drive of some shoes and a terrain strip to test trail oriented products. If youre willing to buy at the end of season or past seasons items, there are incredible deals to be had. Add to that the 10% membership rebate, theyve made a future repeat customer of me!

I came into just browse and look through the sale section of the shoes. Jack and Megs both came up and talked. They were both super friendly and just made the experience great. This isnt the exception at BRC but rather the norm. If more stores did this they would see a tremendous jump in sales. This is why I support local and continue shopping at BRC. The customer service is beyond exceptional and kudos to management for continuing to foster that environment.

Every time Ive been here (3 times), it has always seemed like the employees dont actually enjoy being there. No smiles. No help unless you seek them out. Even at that point, you feel bad for bothering them. Twice, Ive had to go back in immediately with issues on the actual prices of the items I paid for and had them adjusted. How inconvenient and annoying. If there are additional deals that people would benefit from, help them out and be proactive about it. Also, every staff member should really be on top of the deals that get sent out in emails as well to better help people who are coming into the store. I only stop by when I really need to, but at this point, its probably more worth making the trip to other outdoor/running stores. Just a bunch of lazy dudes.

I bought a pair of On shoes for running and after 3 months and 200 miles they were worn out, which was rare. I contacted on as I thought they would not be under return policy. On asked me to reach out to the retailer and try to work it out with them. I, with hesitation, called and showed up to see if there is a solution. Unbelievably, manager approved a full refund and I ended up spending another $100+ there. Such an amazing customer service, truly real one. I will be shopping for everything there from now on, strongly recommended!

Very pretentious, elitist. They set out to be the gate-keepers of running. The store managers set boundaries and limits upon people once they see them. They are very judgmental. They are very exclusive of who they want on their group runs. They see health and wellness as a lifestyle for only the affluent.

One of the sales guys was assisting me with trying on some shoes and from the start he was impatient and made some passive aggressive comments. Wouldn’t even give me time to lace up the shoes, it was really strange. Seemed like he was having some personal issues and was hopped up on too much caffeine or something. Anyway, turned me completely off and I just walked out. I went to another store, runners roost, later during the day and got their usual good customer service and gave them my money instead. I’ve bought a variety of items from this specific store for the last few yrs especially with the wide selection of items but I’m going to take a break from them for a while. The bad energy just effected me for quite a while and I don’t need that in my life from a shoe store

I’m new to running and the staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. I feel like a learned a lot and ended up in a great shoe for my foot shape. (Turns out I’ve been buying my shoes a full size too small for years.) Also, I was pleasantly surprised to find out the pair I got was on sale 25% off when I got up to the register.So In summary, In about 30 minutes: I found out my correct shoe size and shape, tried on several options, got expert feedback and advice, supported a local shop and paid less than I would have on Amazon.Glancing at the other reviews, this place seems to be doing things right. I’ll definitey be back.

Expert knowledge and friendly customer service. I bugged the bejeezus out of these guys looking for the right pair of shoes. The employee helping me (Adam) was patient and thorough, talked me through a wide variety of choices for my needs, and matched me up with the best pair for me (despite it being one of the less expensive ones - they dont try to upsell you just to unload expensive shoes). I highly recommend this store for anyone from the serious, competitive runner to those just starting out. These guys will get you off on the right foot.

Extremely knowledgeable staff. I went in thinking I knew everything there was to know about running shoes, and had my mind made up before I even walked inside as to which shoe I would buy. Upon entering, they analyzed my running gate and matched me up with a shoe from a newer company that I hadnt even heard of (Hoka). I had been an Asics guy for years, but they introduced me to this shoe that seems like it was made specifically for me. Also, they have a 30 day return policy which is amazing. I recently moved to Colorado from Alaska, where Skinny Ravens was my store. Now, Ive found a new one. This place is awesome.

My boyfriend and I stopped in so he could try on a pair of Altras. The older man that ended up helping us was rude, and when we asked to try on some shoes he went in the back, came back out, and threw the boxes down. He then went on to say, “I don’t think you’ll like these because they have no support.” We replied saying that we’ve been running for over a decade and are comfortable with minimal support shoes; after all, my boyfriend is a toe runner and postings will do nothing for him. He said that my boyfriend pronates without watching him walk or run and that must be why the Saucony Guide (which my boyfriend wore in) worked for him. My boyfriend replied that he doesn’t run in them and walks around in them only; he emphasized that in the past neutral shoes have been the best for him and preferred to stick with what works. I understand that looking at the footwear a customer comes in with is sometimes a good sign of what the customer might be looking for, but when we go on to say what we run/train in, that forfeits what we are wearing. The man continued to be rude when my boyfriend asked to try on another pair, and afterwards, my boyfriend asked me, “Is it just me or is that guy being really rude?” We don’t come into a specialty store to a) be talked down to, b) be told that what has worked for us for over a decade is wrong, and c) be treated like garbage. Pestering customers and being rude to them isn’t alright in my book. I wish I caught the guy’s name that was helping us, but he didn’t introduce himself and wasn’t wearing a name tag. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Worst customer service today.Saw online that a show was available in my size at this store. Female associate said look in the sale section b/c it’s an unusual size. Not there. She couldn’t find it in the back.She told me I could try on a much smaller shoe or the men’s pair which is “exactly the same as the women’s.”Really!?!I asked about ordering and if there was return shipping costs for the customer. She wasn’t sure. She didn’t offer to check and just told I could order them from somewhere.I usually end up ordering extra pairs in my size, from the Boulder Running Co. this was not offered.I even asked to try on similar shoes in my size. The gal said she likes Nike shoes (these never fit my feet). I asked for other options. She jusy said she’s sorry and she didn’t know what to do. That the show could be at any of their other stores and I could go them and see if it’s there.Seriously?? Worst experience at BRC in over 10 years of shopping here.

I always come here to get shoes. Their wonderful sales people will ask a bunch of questions, look at your feet and have you walk or run on a treadmill to assess the best shoe for you.

Went in for the first time to pick up my Boulder Rez Marathon packet, the store had a special -20% for all participants, a nice open layout, lots of cloths and shoes, about everything youd need, i just HAD to spend another 100 bucks!

Last Saturday (April 4, 2015) I went to Boulder Running Company in Cherry Creek with high hopes. However, it was a terrible experience. No one asked me if I needed help (I was in three different departments); the music was terribly annoying although one of the clerks was singing along; and no one even acknowledged me when I was standing in line waiting to pay. As a result, I put my things down and left the store. There were at least 5 people at the cashier, and they were all talking amongst themselves. My impression was that the store was more about supporting the lifestyle of the people working there rather than assisting us who needed help. I was very disappointed, and they lost my business.

Excellent running shoe collection. Staff was very educated about new shoe technology and fitment. Staff was courteous, kind and patient.

Was very disappointed. Checked out many stores in Denver and this store was supposed to be the trail running store. They had Salomon shoes but didnt have sense ultra or similar models from Salomon. Hoka, altra and la sportiva shoes they had in stock was good. Looked more into ultra trail running clothing, but didnt find anything than a pair of nike shorts and thick t-shirts. They had maybe two drinking vest models in store, but anything that could pass requirement for a long ultra competition. Else the ultra running clothes they had in store was very disappoint. Didnt find also a decent pair of running poles. They should not brand the store as a trail running store and definitely not ultra running.

Great running shop. Good prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This one guy acted like an expert but he is not. My wife came in looking for a shoe and the guy was totally mansplaining away anything she was interested in. You cant wear Nikes because you wore Nikes once and you got plantar fasciitis. A lot of people come in with injuries while wearing Nikes. First of all, thats a fallacy because your personal experience is not a substitute for actual evidence. But further, dont tell her that she cant have the shoe she wants (and that is for sale there) because of some systematic bias you have. Then she picked out a shoe from Asics and he says nope, you cant have that either without any reason. There was no foot assessment, no evaluation, no exam, and then he wants to pretend like hes some sort of physical therapist with his absolute recommendations. Buyer beware. Because the price point of most shoes here start at $120 and my suspicion is the store justifies this price through their expert opinion.

You can buy shoes online for cheaper but is there really a substitute for getting advice from a real runner and trying on multiple shoes to get the right fit?

I havent run in something like 10 years. I walked in and was greeted and asked if I needed any help. Kelsey proceeded to help me for the next 45 minutes via doing a short walk/run test to look at my form and then picked out 6 or 7 different shoes she wanted me to try out. I didnt want to be any trouble but she insisted she didnt mind showing me the different footwear. I have to say that the best customer service experience I have ever had at a retail store has been at Boulder Running Company. The funniest part was I had to buy a pair of basketball shoes (which they dont sell at BRC) and had to go to Sports Authority where they have the WORST customer service. If BRC would sell court shoes as well as running shoes I guess Id never have to shop anywhere ever again for my feet haha. Thanks.

My go to place to get my athletic shoes or my everyday dog walkers... i mean why not go to here where the staff will work with you to find the best shoe for your foot because simply they want your feet to be happy!!!
