We love Drury Lane. Its the perfect local spot to meet a friend for lunch. They have lots of yummy baked goods and lots of options for coffee and tea. They even have almond milk and sugar free syrups which I appreciate. My daughter loves their chunky monkey French toast which has Nutella and bananas. I really enjoy their salads. Their chicken salad is a favorite. They also have specials throughout the week.

Awesome food very fresh and excellent tasting. Great service, friendly atmosphere and people.

Stop by one morning while my car was getting work on. Nice little cafe. Good food and beverages. If I lived in derby I could see this place being a regular for me.

Edited for response to owner/operator added to bottom:TLDR: I showed cake on left(with elsa) to baker, got cake on right(olaf) due to terms 2 layered and 2 tiered meaning two different things. Baker did not explain the difference. I was wrong in thinking since she had a picture she knew what I wanted.I was happy to find a local business that I could utilize to help make sure my kid had a great birthday. After meeting with Samantha, we went over the design and we wanted the design on the left. We decided against the print out and instead paid extra for the Olaf who was supposed to sit on top the first section and then have her name on the top section.The problem is, while I was told it was a 2-layer cake, I assumed that meant it would be like the cake in the picture on the left. As an average consumer who has shopped at a bakery a small handful of times, I did not know nor was it explained to me that a Two-Layer cake is not the same thing as a two-tiered Cake.Meanwhile, Im happy as can be thinking I showed the baker what I wanted and ordered a cake successfully. While I am sure the cake will taste fine, and the kiddo will still be stoked its Frozen, the terms that are used by a baker might not be familiar to the customer. The business should do a better job of explaining what the customer is actually purchasing, especially on something that we prepay for.Response to reply:As you may recall during my visit I called my daughter over and let her pick the cake. She had picked out a two tier. Although its not what she thought she had ordered, she isnt going to let a cake ruin the day.After showing you several pictures of two tiered(layered) cakes, when you suggested an 8 one tiered two layered cake, Its pretty easy to see how I could assume two layered meant the pictures I was showing you. Repeating to me my order of a two layer caked does nothing if a two layered cake to me means what Im showing you in the picture.I understand that this was a misunderstanding, but it is up to the business to help educate the guest on terms that they use so this doesnt happen. I brought pictures just so we could be on the same page, but I suppose I just didnt need that much cake for 30 people. Had I known that for $80ish I would get a tiny 8 two layered(not tiered as I now know the difference) cake, I would have politely passed.

My family and I have ate at Drury Lane many times, and have loved it! TODAY, we celebrated my 6 year old daughter’s birthday with a tea party hosted by Drury Lane. I’m STILL smiling about it! Everything exceeded my expectations! The table was exquisite! The food was delicious! The cake was perfect! The staff couldn’t have made it an easier, seamless experience! We had 12 little girls, and the staff was so sweet, and did everything they could to make sure my little girl had the best birthday ever! So, definitely go for the food and drinks —— but if you have a little girl in need of a tea party birthday.... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRURY LANE!! Easiest, funniest day ever! Thanks Drury Lane!!

I recieved 5 meals for a gift after an accident. First I want to say the people that delivered were so sweet and nice.2nd the food was amazing. We had 5 dishes, mashed potatoes, 2 fresh salads, and garlic bread. Everything was very fresh and delicious. Favorite was the chicken Asiago. But we would highly recommend them and their food.

We ordered cake and cupcakes. We didn’t have a specific idea but wanted a mermaid theme. The cake was absolutely gorgeous and the cupcakes were super cute to match the cake! The flavor was perfect as well! The birthday girl and her guests devoured the treats!!!

I got a Megaman cake for my husband. It was a little difficult communication because I dont do Facebook, but thats not their fault. Considering the time crunch they had they did very well. Some decorations were not perfect smudged and torn and awkward like it was rushed, but it was because of the communication got delayed and they were super busy. They could have just rejected my cake but they didnt so I appreciate the Awesome effort in short time. I hope they do 1/4 inch layers with filling and cake being equal in the future, but their modified style still tasted good. I just prefer the smaller equal layering. And I hope they start doing mousse layers. We got the luxury raspberry lemon. It was so yummy! Love them and look forward to purchasing again in the future.

Im from out of state, researched and found this bakery that was close to my family. Ordered a birthday cake, paid a fortune for it and it looked like a five year old decorated it! I almost didnt accept it when we picked it up but hoped the cake would taste better than it looked. It was awful, no one would finish it, we ended up throwing the cake away! I definitely will never use this bakery again. So disappointing!

I got a 3 tier wedding cake in June 2019 and not only was my cake BEAUTIFUL it was the best tasting cake IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! I live in VA so I never got to taste test the cake in advance and It was a delightful outcome. My only regret is not getting a bigger cake bc not 1 piece was leftover!!! The bottom of my cake was chocolate, middle was regular white, and the top was strawberry filled. To this day I think about how amazing my cake was!!

A little tricky to find in Derby, KS., a larger sign and positioned at a spot where it is visible for for all the traffic to see on K-15 would help spot the building sooner. Very good selections for breakfast and lunch; portions are only a bit on the small side, but QUALITY of food is happening, yummy. A quaint book nook exists inside while sipping specialty hot drinks is a bonus. Prices for food is very good. Highly recommended. There are even nick knacks to admire or buy.

Drury Lane Bakery and Cafe is the best! My family, that lives out of state, has ordered cookies from Drury Lane a few times now and they always deliver them with such kind and friendly customer service! The cookies are always beautiful and delicious too!

I ordered a cake for my wife’s 50th birthday. Her favorite cake is wedding cake and her favorite color is white. I didn’t give a lot of guidance on what I wanted. They made a beautiful cake that was delicious and was a hit with my guests and my wife. I wish I would have taken a good picture before we consumed it. Chocolate and vanilla layers. It was so good!

My mother and I stopped into Drury Ln. Bakery & Café today hoping to get a nice cup of coffee while we caught up with each other...and we were glad that we did. Its a quaint little spot, with super friendly owners, and great coffee to boot! My mother ordered their vanilla cappuccino, and I had their vanilla latte. Then their bakery case caught my eye, and I noticed that they had fresh baked gingerbread cookies ~ OH. MY. D-E-L-I-S-H! Tons of flavor, and the perfect texture, which were cooked to perfection. We grabbed a couple to go, and a gingersnap. Love this little place, and we hope theyre here for the long haul ~ great quality, fair prices, friendly owners/staff, AND locally-owned. ** SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES! **

First time to visit but I will certainly be back. Very pleased atmosphere and staff, great coffee and good price. I got mine to go today but I can see that this is a place I would enjoy sitting with a friend to talk and enjoy a cup together.

The child’s birthday cake we ordered was dense and tasteless. The middle was uncooked. The icing was thicker than the cake. Everyone at the party threw their slice away and most went into the trash. Will not be ordering again and unfortunately neither will any of our guests.
