Told me they could not service my vehicle. Said the transmission was unserviceable. Called mini of Omaha they said they could do it. Willis is hot garbage.
One of the best car dealership experiences weve had. We are not from Des Moines so when it came to test driving the salesman was all about letting us venture out. Upon request he came with us so we wouldnt get lost but at no time pressured us or went on and on about the details. He nicely answered questions as we had them. I was really indecisive about which level of Countryman I wanted so he brought out the service tech to help answer questions on speed and torque. Once that was settled the sales rep had to locate a car at another dealership since they did not have one on hand. All in all, we were there for 6 hours working out the details and finding the perfect fit. They stayed after hours since they knew we were not from around there, offering snacks and drinks so we would be comfortable. We were not able to get the paperwork signed that night, so the next day he drove 2 hours to our house to get things finalized. Overall, they went above and beyond to help us get the perfect car, with the perfect specs we wanted. We never felt like they were trying to sell us. They listened to our needs and help us get what we wanted.
Just came from LA, Donna helped me out with purchasing, and Danielle helped me out with financing. They were both amazingly friendly and overwhelmingly supportive. Thanks to them I got my car that day and drove off. All the employees were nice and friendly. Best place to buy, lease, do anything related to cars. Never seen a dealer so superb. Based in MN, I was driving back from a gig down south and decided to explore my options in dealerships across the country to find a new vehicle that fits my preferences. After corresponding with Chicago, Knoxville, Madison, and Minneapolis, I reached out to Willis after finding a 2019 model that fit every single checkmark. Because it was the latest model, I really did it on a whim, thinking, I couldnt possibly make that work.Derek Heckman became my point of contact. We chatted on the phone and corresponded by text as I drove north from FL. From the moment we started talking, I found his energy and candor on the phone incredibly pleasant, warm, and authentic. It felt like talking to an old friend. Within a couple hours he presented a pricing structure that was close to what I was seeking, and after ironing out a few details, the dealership signed off on the exact price I envisioned.After driving 2000 miles, I was hospitably greeted by Derek at the dealership, he walked me through what to expect, introduced me to everyone involved in the process, I signed the lease, and after packing it up, I was off in the new car. Everyone I encountered was easy-going, accommodating, and made the experience legitimately feel special.As I began my 200-mile trek home, I drove over a piece of metal debris on the highway, and immediately received a notification that my tire was flat. I had only made it to Ames! Twenty minutes into my trip! It felt like the universe was trying to balance out my high from such a positive, easy, perfect experience of getting this car. It almost felt unsurprising.I called Derek. Told him what happened. Though it was after-hours, he made some calls and told me to get back to the dealership. I had to spend the night in Des Moines, but was assured the shop will take care of the tire in the morning. He asked me what coffee I like at Starbucks, and that he would pick me up in the morning from wherever I was staying. And thus, BMW Concierge arranged the tow truck and the Lyft to the hotel. The next morning I was back in my new car, with a new tire (provided out of good will), on my way home.I felt compelled to write about this experience because I was so taken aback by the quality of customer service provided by this dealership. It was astounding. I wasnt treated as a customer, but as a guest, a person, a friend. My salesperson went above and beyond any expectations or pre-conceived notions I had about the car-leasing process, and I have the highest respect and gratefulness for his efforts. All-in-all, the atmosphere for the Mini Dealership was quite hospitable, and I am still on cloud nine about what the team did to make the vehicle I dreamed of having, accessible.
Excellent dealers no high pressured sales. Entire STAFF are friendly and courteous. One of the best buying experienced in all of my years of purchasing cars and trucks. Highly recommend this dealership they are stellar in all customer service and appreciation. Plus very knowledgeable of the vehicles they sell. Definitely will be a returning customer.
We had our Mini Cooper nice and cleaned for the service guy to change the oil. We live 2 1/2 hrs away and it was snowing on our way to Des Moines. Therefore our Mini was all dirty due to the wet roads. When we picked our Mini up, I had noticed someone had wash our car for us! I want to THANK whoever took the time to wash our car!!!! That was very kind.
Salesperson was very polite, however they play the same games as most other dealers in the area. Previously had a poor experience and Jon (Sales Manager) asked us to reach out to him directly to ensure this experience was better - email and voicemail went unanswered so empty promise. We will continue to use their service department (top notch) but will buy our MINIs elsewhere.

Had a fabulous experience with the wonderful staff at MINI of Des Moines (part of Willis Auto Campus). From the get-go, the staff were friendly, courteous and incredibly helpful. I primarily worked with Lisa (online) and Jamie (in person). Both listened to me, and went out of their way to make car buying both a satisfying and rewarding experience. Throughout the entire purchasing process, Jamie made sure to introduce me to the entire MINI of Des Moines staff, who were very friendly and made you feel welcome (that they truly appreciated my business). From working with members of the service/car maintenance staff to Danielle in financing, it was a fantastic process. Moreover, MINI of Des Moines delivered my vehicle (outside of DSM) following completion of bodywork! I am absolutely delighted with my experience at MINI of Des Moines and the greater Willis Auto Campus - would recommend them highly.

This place in my opinion is a literal heaven on Earth. Nothing is ever wrong here everyone is so happy and helpful. Its a great place to go if youre ever feeling sad. Just looking at all the beautiful mini coopers would fill even the most sadistic, depressed person with joy.Mini coopers are also awesome to have if youre an outdoorsy to-the-max person, but dont take my work for it. Got and experience it for yourself

Do not give them your phone #. I visited this dealership probably 8 months ago. They offered me a horrible deal based on a trade-in and then some guy named Derrick continues to repeated call and leave messages on my phone. He will call at least once a week, two calls at a time and leave me a voicemail. I have NEVER responded or showed any interest and he continues to take time out of my day on a regular basis. I do not intend on ever responding to anyone from this dealership in any situation in the future! take me off your list!

This was my second service visit to Willis Mini for my 2009 Cooper Hardtop. My first was a year ago and unlike the first visit, which was very good, this visit was lacking. I came in for a oil change and new battery. When I got there I was informed of a tension-er and turbo heat shield that were on recall and needed to be checked, I felt better communication to me when I made the appointment would have be nice for planning purposes. I figured I would be at the dealership for about a hour and didnt feel the need to get a loaner car, well it ended up being close to two and a half hours before my car was done. When I got my Cooper S in 2009 I purchased the Mini maintenance plan but was informed that it did not cover the battery. OK but now I am wondering why the labor charge to but the battery in was $138.27. I was in shock when he told me the price $243.52 total for a new battery and after I left the I now wish I would have not let them put the new one in. My second visit to Des Moines Mini wasnt what I was expecting and I left wondering if I would come back for another visit to the service department there.
