They did a great install but they blew because I like to have the volume maxed out at all times. They were very helpful and it was me that chose to speak on something without knowing what I was talking about. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused.

I spent well over $1200 in June for subs and installation only to find that they had my system hooked up directly to the battery and my back speakers unplugged. You would’ve thought that they would’ve placed an energy saver on my battery so the system wouldn’t drain it as much as I paid, but they didn’t and it cost me $533.00 to get my car fixed. Brand new vehicle... smh and now I have to pay another $150 to have my system hooked up correctly with my back speakers connected again... I guess they figured that since I’m a female they could get over on me and they did! Never again will I get anything done here NOR will I send any business!

Didnt buy anything but whoever it was, and knowing I wasnt buying anything, went out of his way to answer a few questions I had about upgrading my factory speakers and how I should go about doing it.

I was a little taken back at the $1400 price tag to install a head unit and an existing sub and amp. The work I was quoted for was not completed. 2 amps were supposed to be wired and only one was done. When the work was completed and I showed up to pick up my vehicle 4 people in the service bay looked at me with no acknowledgment. After waiting for them to finish up their conversation someone reluctantly sauntered over to take my money. My expectation after dropping that amount of money would have been that someone showed me how to use the newly installed equipment.....never happened, I don’t think I was even told to have a nice day.After inspecting the install, I noticed my temperature controls on the dash had a piece broken out. It wasn’t like that before I dropped the truck off but they said they didn’t do it. They offered to find me new temp controls but I didn’t hear anything for over a week after I was told they were trying to locate a new set of controls. Google was able to find me a new set in far less than a week.In summation, I should have deeply lowered my expectations of this company. I figured someone that has been in business this long in the tiny town of Des Moines would want to provide “white glove” service to its customers, not just the ones that drive up in $100,000 cars.Save your hard earned money and have your 16 year olds friend install your stuff!

I set up my appointment and they had it installed within 90 minutes even though it was clear they were busy! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful!

Ive had two vehicles outfitted with subs through Car Sound in Des Moines. The staff was very helpful in selecting the right hardware, and made sure that I was happy with the final product, taking the time to educate me and answer all of my questions. Even after one speaker was malfunctioning (loose connection - not their fault) they were able to schedule me back right away to get the problem fixed for no additional cost. I hope to do business with you again!

Amazing help...I got a new truck used from Dealer in Omaha, it had remote start...I didn’t know how to get it to work so I asked a local shop they were no help...so I called Car Sound, while they didn’t sell the brand I had anymore they did help me out over the phone...the gal I talked with was awesome. She gave me a tip to try and boom works...truck now starts remotely. Great help over the phone +200 miles away...thanks great work would recommend to anyone just based on phone call support!

The team at the Douglas Ave store exceeded my expectations in the quality of service and the manner in which they treated me as a valuable customer. Labor is always a factor and its not refundable . I had a remote starter installed 9 years ago and today was the second service call again at no charge for the fix. You cannot go wrong here. These people are truly honest businessman.

Called for advice on a back-up camera for a customer, they suggested one so I had the customer go purchase that camera, but they didnt have the one that they sold me on, but instead sold him a different one for the same money. Installed camera and with in a month it quit working. Call them and they said, Yeah weve had some problems with that camera so we dont sell it anymore. Customer returned it, but only was able to get a partial refund on a junk camera that they sold knowing it was junk. Nice job guys!!!

The front speakers in my 2010 Chevy Cobalt werent working so I brought it in to Car Sound to have them diagnose and fix my problem. They had it diagnosed, fixed, and had me out the door within 45 minutes! Everything was done in an incredibly friendly manner with fair prices which exceeded my expectations immensely! I will be back for sure if I ever have any problems in the future!

I dont want this shop to anybody for window tint. no way. i brought two times my car for window back tint. oh man....second one is more terrible than fist time. i will go to other store for rear one.even i paid all 200.00 for this.

Super helpful & friendly!I recently purchased a used car that came with a old stereo system with an aux cord, which I couldnt get to work. I brought it in and asked them to look at it, thinking it might be broken. They looked at it right away and found the problem--something just had to be reset. They fixed it really easily and didnt charge me a dime. Great people, highly recommend them.

I recently had a stereo installed in my boat and even though I am happy with the equipment, I am not happy with the service I received.First off my boat battery was dead when i showed up so I couldnt test anything.Next the installers left all of their trash and wire pieces in my boat.Then the price was a couple of hundred dollars more then i was quoted on the phone.Not happy

Took only a call to this store to fix my system. Fantastic, knowledgable, and helpful! Very nice staff and they know how to do things right.Correction: Made another call to the store a few days later (some employee named anthony) and asked a question and he refused to help unless I pay $60. Absolute BS considering another guy helped me for free. Dont trust this store.

I have taken many cars here. They have done some high dollar installs for me and have been excellent. I had them add a head unit, amp, and subs in my Yukon. Recently they have been doing work on my Dodge Charger. Had a new headunit installed, came back and they installed Sirius XM, and then a month later they did a backup camera for me. I have recommended them to a lot of my friends and they have been more than happy with the work. I had an issue with my Head unit and they fixed it with no extra charge. These people stand behind there work and are wonderful to deal with. I am going to be having them do a amp, cap, and sub install in a week or two. They get all of my business.

I just purchased a new car, they installed the Compustar Remote Start a few days later. The remote has 3 features lock and unlock doors and remote start. They only installed the device so it activate the remote start. Employees speak down to the customer and they perform half a$$ work despite paying full price.

We had an automatic start thru them. Very easy to work with.

I have dealt with them for years and they have always been total professionals. Unlike some of these places that hire High school kids to do the work they know what they are doing!

Recommend this company for any audio/alarm services. I had a remote start installed on my 2002 nissan maxima last christmas, and its just been wonderful. The lady at the front desk was a friendly ray of sunshine, and after they installed it the technician came out and showed me how to work it. I will be going to them for anything else I ever need.

Unbelievable! That was my experience. I took a new stereo in to have installed in my sons 2007 Honda Accord. This was a Christmas gift. First of all, they did not replace the stereo as I asked, they ADDED the new stereo as a second unit in the dash. Really!!! Im not collecting car stereos....Secondly, the speakers do not work. They sound horrific! So much static that you cant even stand to listen to it. I spent $410 to have them ruin the music in his car and now he gets to ride back to college without any music at all. I was not told anything about their plans.Not a good experience and one Ill avoid in the future. Hello Ford & Garland.
