I have used window world before in the past and they did a wonderful job so I called them back again to put in my basement windows. Ron and his crew came out and what a super job! I highly recommend. So if anybody needs Windows tell them Brenda Bloodgood sent you!

We did an almost full window replacement for our Home. I picked the window - But the installer is what actually makes a Great window !! Our installer was Ricky and we were truly fortunate . In multiple projects in our home he was one of the few that really went above and beyond to answer questions - we would say thanks for telling us, and he would always say OF Course this is your Home! and He did an absolutely amazing job at installation and reinstalling our aluminum trim around the outside of windows. I went around and carefully inspected every window and could not find One area of concern - and truthfully better than the original. - Thank You Window World for sending Ricky as our installer!

We purchased vinyl siding for our house from Window World and it was less expensive and better quality than any of the other quotes we got from other companies. We could not be happier with the final look and quality of the siding or the professionalism of both the estimator and the installer. This is a company with integrity.

Original install was not satisfactory but still giving five stars because they came back and fixed it. Great value for the money if you compare the price to the competition such as Anderson Windows which are 3x the cost for the exact same window. My only caveat is be wary of window salesmen who tell you that replacing your windows will save you money. It is true that your utility bills will go down, but window companies have to file a construction permit with the county which actually causes your homes assessed value to go up. So whatever money you save in utility costs you make up for in higher property taxes.

Jim Nelson showed up a few minutes early for my appointment, he fixed two of my window screens and got it done in a timely manner! Good reliable company to work with!

We hired Window World to replace 9 windows in our home. From start to finish, we were impressed. The salesman was not pushy but helped explain the products and warranty. He took calls from us after hours to help us make our decision. The team that installed our windows was small (3 men) but they finished within 8 hours. We were impressed with their timeliness, attention to detail, and respect of our house. I overheard one of them telling the other person they were redoing a part of the window because they wanted to make it perfect - that made us so happy to hear they werent rushing through the job. They stayed 10 minutes after finishing so I could return home and they could show us how to use and clean the windows. They were COVID safe and always wore masks, with only one person entering our home. The windows are GORGEOUS and instantly elevate the look of our house and make our home more efficient. It’s now been over a month since we got the new windows and we are still in love with them. The team that came in (John from “Best Fit” and his helper) were great - fast and respectful. They didn’t mind working around us (one of the rooms upgraded was my home office and I’m currently working from home) and they answered all of my nosey questions. Awesome work. Would recommend!!!

Windows were installed and they left stickers on the exterior that I had to go up myself and take down. I asked for help or a discount for this and they didnt acknowledge my question and instead proceeded to charge my card anyway. Little disappointed with their service. In addition to this they left the windows installed with some of the latches not working so now I have some windows with broken latches.

My wife and I wanted to replace three windows in our basement. We were in the process of finishing the basement and did not want to move in further in the process until we had the windows replaced. We spoke to a few different contractors and non of them wanted to wanted to replace windows in the foundation. So we decided to contact a company that specializes in windows thinking that they would be able to help. I called Windows World because I had heard of them. I had not been referred to them so I was not sure what to expect. Zachary came out and gave me the rundown of what they could do and what options I had. This was early on in the pandemic and he was respectful and maintained an appropriate social distance while he was in our home. He was friendly, answered all of our questions. Sometimes he answered them before we even had a chance to ask. He was thorough and professional and there was no-pressure from him in the process. Someone came out to measure the window opening (didn’t catch his name) and he was quick and out of the way. Once the order was placed we had to wait until the windows were built and delivered to them before we could schedule. Once they were ready we were on the schedule for the following week.On installation day, the crew showed up exactly when they said they would. Derek came to the door, was very polite and I walked him to the windows so he could see where they would be working. He told me that there would be a couple of additional people joining him shortly. By lunch time they had the windows installed. They had some additional trim work to do on the afternoon but came to let me know that they would be heading out to lunch and would finish when they returned. After lunch they wrapped up the worm quickly. I signed the invoice and paid the balance and they were gone. The were fantastic. Place was cleaned up perfectly and they were gone. The best part of the whole project was not how great they were to work with at every stage. The best part was the windows. The final product was way better than I thought it would be. We are thrilled to death with the way it looks and would absolutely recommend them to anyone that needs windows replaced.

Today I had Ricky and Steve at my house doing a sliding glass door repair. Both where very professional and on time. They let me know of a couple problem areas and where able to get that handled. Sounded like there was some training going on witch didnt hinder their progress at all. Both worked very well together and their attention to detail was outstanding. If youre looking for installation from window world of des moines this is definitely the company to go threw and highly recommend these 2 guys for the job. Hard workers. Great job.

So much regret!We hired Window World to replace two large three-piece windows.Should YOU hire Window World? If you can answer yes to one or more of these statements, Windows World will likely live up to your expectations:You like your interior and exterior window frames and sills to be left with big cuts, gouge marks and splinters from the indiscriminate use of hammers, crow bars and sawsalls.You like splintered trim to be reused.You like to see lots and lots of caulk used on the inside of your window frames and trim to try to cover up mistakes and damage.You like replacement trim to be cut up to an inch short and the resulting holes to be filled with globs of caulk.You like exterior trim work to include lots and lots of caulk, sometimes up to half-inch wide beads.You like to see a supervisor point out several faults with the original installation and promise to fix them, but instead try to cover the damage with even more caulk and make things look even worse.You like people to stand you up on the appointments you make with them.You like to be yelled at and called a liar when you politely complain.You like installers to leave broken glass and box cutters behind for your kids to find.You like to use your vacation time to accommodate the 7 appointments it took to get things done right.You like to be quoted one price by the sales person and then get charged extra by the installers – payable on the spot, directly to the installers, not the company, no receipt.You like to work with two installers who resemble a cross between Cheech and Chong and the Marx Brothers, who can’t understand your English, and who ignore you when you point out they are damaging the trim and frames.You like to see the pity in the eyes of your handyman friends and neighbors who see the installation and ask you questions such as “But why didn’t they…?” and “Why on Earth did they…?”The resolution to our problems only came at the 5th through 7th visits, when a new supervisor came out and spent hours fixing things. The outside of one window frame and sill looked so bad he offered to wrap it in metal sheeting for free. It was obviously easier than to try and fix all the damage. True to form, they didn’t caulk the top edge above the drip edge. I had to do that myself, so water wouldn’t run down the siding and in behind the wrap and ruin the window frame.In the end, Window World of Des Moines did the work I paid for and gave me a $60 discount on the $120 extra charged by the installers. However, working with them was about as pleasant as a double root canal and I will never, ever hire Window World again for anything. They initially managed to make a $1700 installation look much worse than the other 60+ year old windows in our starter home. Even if it now looks acceptable it left my wife and I incredibly frustrated with their lack of customer service and professionalism and our wasted vacation time.Do yourself a favor and pick an installer who can show you good references, even if you pay a bit more. The aggravation with Window World simply isn’t worth it!29-3-17 UPDATE:Latches are coming loose on the windows - screws are backing out of the frames on 3 of 7 latches. They have been opened and closed less than 20 times...

I used them on 12 different homes. Always good but this last time was very bad. Walls damaged and now need repainting. Mud in house. Very poor. House was just remodeled so I can’t believe they were so careless. Now I have to fix it.

I had the windows replaced in my home 5 years ago. The quality has been good and I love the ease to clean. I had a minor issue with one after cleaning, called and received prompt professional service. The service man (Les Douglas) noticed my door wouldn’t latch. Not only did he repair the window, he fixed the door!I can’t say enough positive things about Window World. Highly recommend.

The installers were very knowledgeable. They were a little messy and did not clean up as well as we would have liked. It would have been nice to know they were going to use their sawsalls to cut out the windows as this process was very loud. We like our new windows and would use Window World again with these changes.

The crew who installed the windows was very professional and also a great deal of fun! They were responsive to our requests to have one person on interior and to wear a mask due to having a high risk infant in the home. We thoroughly enjoyed having them at our home. And the windows are high quality and look spectacular. Our home was built in 1904 and windows still had the weights and pulleys and wooden frames. The first week after installation of new windows, we noticed a HUGE difference in the inside temperature! It remained consistent from room to room, which we haven’t seen in 20 years! Completely satisfied and can’t wait to get the upstairs windows done!!

It has been going on 8 months now that I ordered a picture window for my living room,. When they first came to install the frame was damaged and had to reorder, which took another month. Then the glass was broken and that took another month. I had to call several times to see where in the process they were. Window world installers put my window in the day before thanksgiving,but the forgot to order the screens.When they did the screens were to big for the window. Here it is January 27th and I still dont have my screens. I would not RECOMEND this company to anyone.

Window world replaced 6 windows of various sizes. Honestly, there was an issue. However, the people stand behind their products and their workmanship. They came and fixed it. I love the windows. They are beautiful and easy to clean. Thank you for the wonderful view.

Ricky and Blake were tasked with installing an 8.5’ window in my house. As if that weren’t enough, it was about 9 degrees outside. They didn’t let that stop them and were there right when they said they would be and got to work. My old bay/bow window was not in good shape, and they expertly removed it without issue. They exposed the window was barely held in and had little to no insulation, explained why my living room was so cold all winter. I had some of my siding up in my attic, which they retrieved so I didn’t have to, and installed the new window with correct support, framing and insulation. Absolutely professional great guys, I never felt uncomfortable leaving them alone in my home or garage. Most importantly, the window looks incredible, was professionally installed and my living room is the warmest place in the house now. I also don’t hear the cars driving by or dogs barking. Can’t put into words how happy we are with Window World and especially Ricky and Blake. Highly suggest requesting them to do your install. My only complaint is they went to Culver’s for lunch and didn’t bring me a pub burger.

I could not be happier with the installation crew, the quality of the windows, and most importantly the price. I had new Series 4000 Double Hung windows installed to replace my original 1950s era windows.The crew replaced all 11 windows in one day then came back the next to finish all the exterior trim. I was very pleasantly surprised that none of my interior trim work was damaged or needs to be replaced.Yes, there were two small hiccups with screens, but that happens occasionally and Im fine waiting for the proper replacements. No job goes perfectly, but the crews handled everything professionally.

Cheap cheap windows! What a disappointment! Three men came to install and did not wear masks. What kind of company are you? You should require this of your installers. I wanted to give them a mask, but worried they would do a crampy install. They also used my bathroom without my permission. After they left my entire house smelled. WOW! If these windows make it thru a winter Ill be surprised.

They were here 10 minutes and said they ordered the wrong size. They said they would have to reorder the window. I hope it doesnt take another 3 months to get it.UPDATE:They called and setup an install date for replacement window. I had patience for the first 2.5 months, then patience ran out. Added 2 stars. I still would recommend them based on their very competitive pricingIts been 3 months since I called to have a bad window replaced. On August 5th, I called and the person said it was in and they are going to call me later that week to schedule an install. It is now September 21st and no one called and now theyre telling me that its backordered and have no idea when they can fix my window.Yes I know about COVID, but 3 MONTHS!!!

This company already put windows in my house I called him for another estimate to do another two windows filled out all the financing paperwork everything was scheduled to go and then nobody called me back and nobody showed up to do the work.Rebuttal to their reply: Ron left me a message to look at the work that was bid. I texted him back 2 times and he never replied. I called your office and knowone returned my call. I have moved onto another more reputable one.

They sub out all their work to subcontractors so no one actually works for Window World youre on your own if the installer doesnt do the work right. The main boss lady in the office is rude and condescending. Buyer beware.You do not see me in the records uh. That says alot about your organization.
