We needed a few items for the yard, Earl May had them all and in several varieties. Yeah Baby!We again walked through Earl May and found a real cool American flag star, looks great on my small barn! See picture.

Stay away from this store. The manager has no idea what he is doing! He told a family member of mine when they bought sod from the story not only would they delver it but they would also lay it as well. When it got delivered the manager then said I dont recall telling you I would lay it ! This A Hole not only needs to pay for it but Should be Fired for Lying to the customer(s) what the company can and/or can not do! He was told if they cant lay the sod down they would take their business else where but No they(He) said they would! I will be contacting BBB because of this!

I have been shopping at this Earl May for 15 years. I enjoy their selection and customer service. I am willing to spend a little more to get expert help. Recently the management changed. The manager is clueless and absent. He hired young people with no expertise or training and drove off my favorite expert who went out of her way repeatedly to help. If this doesnt change soon Im done with this location. Ive heard good things about Ankeny.

Nice selection of planters and indoor plants.

You have to know what you want and what youre looking for. Very little help to be found here. The tree planting guy is great to work with though.

Friendly, helpful staff - at least three employees asked if they could help me with anything. Quality of annuals and perennials was excellent, as usual!

This is the biggest earl may in Iowa. They have Everything from trees to flowers shrubs and beautiful hostels indoor plants as well and the patio furniture they sell is gorgeous I would definitely recommend coming here for any gardening that you want to do in your yard and I couldnt believe that actually had strawberries in grapes as well

I gave 4 stars because all plants I purchase are healthy and live when planted. However, I think you should price yourselves on Lowes level. Houseplants are outrageous and they may not live. I was in to get a houseplant and left empty handed. Your help however is excellent.

Was an ok experience, had lots of nice items. Some items were a little pricey for this gal; but not all! Was looking for something particular but couldnt find staff to help assist with what I needed bc they only gal there was checking people out. Other than that it wasnt too bad of a place.

Only place in town Ive found crush red brick. Got to use all of that earl may cash I got in the spring saved a bit of money but the price for crushed red brick has increased to 8.99. 2 years ago it was 6.49

Didnt find pablaoino plants

Great customer service. As soon as I walked through the door someone offered me help. One of the associates working took the time to explain multiple things to me. My plant was looking a little worrisome and I called the store and they were so kind and helpful. Gave me an email to send photos for further help. My plant is alive and looks beautiful now thanks to them. You dont find great customer service like this anymore.

Very nice store. A variety of plants & home/garden decor

All employees and customers were wearing face covers except the manager. He said he couldnt find his mask but still insisted on helping customers. He said he just got back from vacation and just my luck, he helped me. Unfortunately, I have underlying health conditions and felt very uncomfortable in this store and around him.

Its not just for gardeners. They also have a gift shop with some pretty unusual offerings. Check it out.
