I needed major engine work on my 2011 GM SUV. It has high mileage but otherwise in good shape. Ernie and my husband determined it was worth having a new motor installed. W O W! The work was performed in a timely manner, the cost was reasonable (certainly less than the cost of even buying a new used comparable SUV), and I feel like I am driving a brand new version of the SUV. It is amazing - it drives like brand new. Talking to the manager (Ernie) and knowing that the mechanic is skillful & experienced really helped us to make an informed decision about our car.They are awesome.

Well I guess they don’t need my business. I called to get a quick quote on some bumper scrapes on my odyssey. They provided me a link, I had to take photos all around the car which seemed kind of odd. Eventually 5 hours later, they called me and asked for the vin...which i provided...24 hours later and still no quote. Another shop only needed a quick email pic and I got a quote within the hour. Too many hoops to jump through to deal with this place.

First time EVER I had a body shop actually finish the car on the date they said. Their service is very good and they will help you out with a loaner car as needed. Have been using them for years.

I would highly recommend this auto body shop if you need work done on your vehicle. Even if you only need a second estimate for necessary body work, AutoKrafter in Des Plaines is where you should go. Ernie and Bill are friendly, professional and most important, knowledgeable in their chosen field. They had my car fixed in a timely manner and Ernie always kept me updated where they were during the whole process. They even detailed the interior of my car before I picked it up. Excellent first experience with this company.

ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations!!Autokrafters of Des Plaines worked on my tricked out Wrangler. I was rear ended and they replaced the rear bumper. Not only did they do a timely job, they also connected the rear lights. The last guy didnt connect them. What a treat.I mentioned I needed a bigger vehicle for my job. Time was not on my side, and I didnt call to request a larger vehicle from the Insurance company. These guys even reminded me. Just give the insurance company a call, and they will take care of it.They called on the spot, and got me the larger car. Just them calling blew me away. To top it off, the rental company had a larger car available. Bonus :). To be honest, in my situation I didnt have any paint work done. What they did do on my Jeep was top notch. While they were waiting for me to pick up my car, one of the guys even was touching up an old scratch with a pen so the scratch wouldnt be so obvious. They didnt have to do it. I have driven past that place a thousand times. Im glad I was able to get my jeep repaired there.Thank you again for the professionalism, attention to detail, speed. Great job guys!

Excellent 5 Star Service. The car was repaired before the stipulated time. The car was like brand new after repair. The staff is very courteous and professional. I would recommend Autokrafters to all my friends and relatives. Autocrafters has one of the best and highly skilled repairmen that I have ever come across. The car had some serious damage but Autokrafters were expert enough to trace all the damage and repair it. I really apreciate their hard work and dedication. I have a 2009 Honda Fit that I purchase recently. The carpet on the passenger side floor would get wet every time it would rain. I couldnt locate where the rainwater was leaking into the car. I brought it to Autokrafter. In under 3 hours they had it pinpointed and fixed. Great Job!!

I took my car to Autokrafters after being rear-ended. They fixed my car ahead of schedule, returned it cleaned and even polished the tires. They explained all the work that would be done and were very friendly and professional. I hope to never need a body shop again but I will recommend them to my friends and family.

Had my front bumper repaired and its was done as promised. I was updated when ever anything needed to be adjusted and a very professional and pleasant staff to work with. These folks are genuinely interested in doing the best job possible and they perform. Companies like Autokrafters are hard to find these days.

Never again! Tell you one thing and do another. I was flat out lied to and the guy didnt have the balls to speak up when called out in front of the coworker I kind of remember, I apologize!. The work was ok but when time for the business part of the deal suddenly amnesia kicks in and the customer takes it in the back side. I will never come back nor recommend this place to anyone, be smart and take your business and money elsewhere! Not to mention my center console and bed of my truck was filthy, looked like 10 people had a party with dirty boots on, definitely not how I dropped it off! Extremely disappointed in the customer service and how I was treated. Be very very careful if you roll the dice with these guys!

They do average work (means okay) but highly overpriced. They estimated my damage $3500 where a different guy estimated it for $2500. It’s a rip off
