Honest people and great service! It used to be called Star Automotive and I was never impressed with them but now that there are new owners and its been remodeled, its a great place. They even dropped me off down the street at work while they were diagnosing my truck.

I live in Crystal Lake but got stranded in DP on that very cold day after Xmas ‘17. I was fortunate to call Des Plaines Automotive, first. Nobody wants to work that day after Christmas but Jimmy made what could have been a really bad day into just a small inconvenience for me. He gave me options that were actually taking money out of his own pocket but were helpful to me. Honest guys. If my truck breaks down again in DP, I’ll know where to go. Thanks to Jeremi, also.

I broke down on the road and a great guy by the name of Jim from Des Plaines automotive got me back on the road in no time. He is efficient, knowledgeable, polite and we will definitely give them our future business!

I bought a Nissan back in 2016. It broke down and went to a different shop and sat for 1 year with no result (NOT DES PLAINES AUTOMOTIVE). When Manny and Jimmy came over. They werent even open yet but it didnt stop them at all. Jimmy had no clue about my truck. He literally started from scrat h. It took Jimmy not even 48 hours later but the other shop a year but no result. Nothing beats hearing your truck for the 1st time after 1 year. I asked if I could hug them both. They both said okay . Thet continue to do great things. They explain everything to you. They are truly honest people. You will not regret it. Best decision ever. My truck now is back on the road and drives beautifully.
