I have been a patient of Dr.Patil’s for years and I would never go to anyone else. She is the most kind and caring doctor you could ever meet.She will go over and above to search out the best treatments and/or procedures that will resolve the ophthalmology issue you have.She always discusses everything with you be it a good exam, a finding or a possible treatment option. I have read the previous reviews and I have to agree with some of the people and disagree with others. I have not been to this office in 6 years due to the office not taking my insurance. I was able to finally obtain a position with a company whose insurance uses this doctor. Dr. Katz welcomed me back with no issues. The front office staff was very nice and professional. My only issue was with the billing girls. They were more interested in talking with one another and not looking or answering the patients quations. I found this a little rude and disrespectful.

I have been going to the Midwest Center for sight for a few years now. Their testing is extremely thorough. The staff is courteous and professional. I have primarily seen Doctor Patil. She is an amazing doctor. She explains everything thoroughly, is highly proficient and quite honestly is a joy to be around.

Raki Patil is the best. Very thorough and enjoyable to work with. Highly recommend.

This has been my & my wife’s ‘Go to place’ for eye care for over 30 years. Never experienced any thing except highest quality of care from the doctors we saw during those years. Honestly the office staff has performed their respective tasks efficiently and effectively in our experience. Last comment addressing the negative reviews. Quality draws patients, making for tight schedules so they can service their patients (you and me). One time ‘clerical’ issues should not define your overall review. I would offer a better coarse would be to have mentioned it to your doctor during your visit. My suspicion is that your issue would have been resolved and you would be a current patient, Happy with your choice for Eye Care.

Staff were all extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions during the exam. Dr Katz thoroughly explained the cataract procedure and the various lens choices available. I chose a date for the cataract operation, and was provided with a folder containing all the pre-operation information and things needed to be done before the operation. I left the office feeling confident that I was receiving excellent care!.

My visit with Dr. Dave was very pleasant. She is always friendly and empathetic to any situations.

I credit MCS for saving my vision. Thanks to early detection and aggressive therapy Dr. Patil has stabilized an increasing vision loss due to optic nerve degeneration from runaway Glaucoma. The entire staff is courteous, friendly, caring and above all, absolutely professional on every level.

Dr Katz is wonderful. He’s been my doctor for years and he saved my eyesight. At one point I was seeing him 3 times a week for about 6 weeks or more. He literally saved me from losing sight in my left eye. The support team members do a nice job as well.

The doctor is super friendly and kind. The wait time is ridiculous though, I waited an hour and a half to be seen and I had an appointment.

Poor communication between office staff and surgical unit. Limited time with the doctor as he had unskilled staff do most of the testing, exams, etc. and even has a different, younger doctor do the follow up exam after the cataract surgery that he performed.

I had a wonderful experience if you can call cataract surgery good. The staff was nice and polite. Dr. Katz extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions. Yes the wait can be long but if he was working on you or answering your questions, wouldn’t you want the time to be spent on you ?I am a immigrant but I did not feel bad regarding the language. If you don’t speak the language bring an advocate.The quality of the doctor is most important and that was 5 stars!

Great eye center! I had my PRK laser surgery done with Dr James Katz in 2013 on both eyes after 15 years of wearing contacts, and super happy to this day. Its so nice waking up every morning and seeing everything 20/20... Their equipment seemed new and top notch, staff were very professional. They get pretty booked though, and a wait for appointment might be a couple months. Dr Katz is a very quick person, and I attribute it partially to the busy schedule. Some might feel a bit rushed, but despite the busyness, he answered all of my questions at every appointment, made me feel safe about the surgeries, and did everything with perfect precision.

The doctor is very nice. The problem is we waited 2 hours there to even be seen. The people had the front desks are so rude. Would recommend to go somewhere else unless you are fine with waiting 2 hours.

494/5000This clinic does not have the trained personnel to work in, many of them do not have the capacity of what is customer service, they have a negative attitude, I think that this is a very bad environment, and my family and I, besides other people also, we do not need thisI think they need to have a manager to corroborate this and fix it.Personally I do not see the professional staff prepared to work with the public, they would need to find another job that they like.

This place does not serve professional speaking, first of all its staff do not have the minimum function of what should be called good customer service,All of them have a very unpleasant bad attitude, and of course to say of the receptionists, we call by phone and do not answer, and if they do! they call after 2 hours.You have a specific time for the appointment and see the doctor, and they pass us after 1 to 2 hours ... and if you want another appointment, they are not flexible at all.Finally, they do not have Spanish-speaking staff or another language when they need it. On the contrary, they tell us that we have to be accompanied by someone who speaks English, this is racism, and illegally in a public medical establishment.

I had Lasik performed by Dr Katz in 2011 and couldnt be any happier! I have referred several people to him over the years and they are happy with the results as well.
