Love this location! Mel excels at customer service, knows each person by name and goes above and beyond each time. It’s so nice in a distracted culture to observe those people who take the time to care about each customer they see. I highly recommend going to Mel.

Terrible terrible branch. Everytime I come here, employees dont even know how to do half their job and always have attitude specially the asian kid (10/7/21 @ 3pm) whos always a smug and answers you like a smarta*s . Also, Ive been to ALOT of UPS branches, usps and fedex, NONE of them have EVER charged me to tape up a box BUT THIS BRANCH. How ridiculous is that even for a free return with a prelabled parcel!! Do yourselves a favor and just go to the dempster branch if you must use ups. I do NOT recommend this branch AT ALL.

Mel is the best! I go to this UPS location for shipping, Amazon drop off, copies and faxing. Mel and his team are professional, fast and friendly. This is the worst experience in my life. Dont ever come to any UPS for printing store. If you need something print first you need to use this computer for 3,5 and after that you need to pay per papee 0,49. Can you believe? So Fedex is the best! They have machines that for print whatever you want. Easy, cheap, fast.

I forgot my Land Rover car key in the hotel in Mt Vernon IL on my traveling way from NY to yellow stone park. After I realized I lost my other key two days passed already. Then I called the hotel called the FedEx called the post office, they need me to do on line. I am really not good at computer. Then I gave up. I found out it costs me $500 to make another key. Then On my way back home I found this ups store in IL, I called them, John explains what is the best way I can do then I visited the store. John is very nice and friendly he helped me solved the problem. It only cost me $49, he helped me ship the label and box to the hotel then the ups driver will help me ship my car key to my home. It just takes a few days. My car key will arrive home earlier than me.Very nice store very friendly people! Definitely recommend!John, I really appreciate all your help!!!

After I almost had a mental breakdown for being insulted from the psychopaths at the USPS down the street on Oakton, I said to go to UPS thinking Im going to be in robbed, because Ups is typically expensive for me. I went there and was helped by a associate named Mel. That guy deserves a raise or a promotion. He had such a nice personality he uplifted my whole entire day from that on. He also gave me very helpful information on how to ship the most economical way when it came to pricing. he was so helpful, I wished I had such good service everywhere else I went. guess what? He got a cheaper than the post office by dollar! I will be going here for now on even if they charge me an arm and a leg LOL. Its hard to find good customer service nowadays. Dont go to the USPS on Oakton, come here instead! You wont regret it.🤗

Horrible customer service!

Extremely expensive and unhelpful. Every time i arrive with a package and whether it is fully ready to be shipped (packed and pre labeled) or not, they always find an inconvenient and ridiculous way to make me leave the store without shipping my package. This has happened 5 times in a row. Not worth the waste of time.

Talk about customer service. Mel and John are just great. They go above and beyond, all the time. Very very very nice. Especially in a day where customer service isnt what it used to be. Not for these guys. They actually care about their customers. I cant say enough about these two. I totally recommend The UPS Store in Des Plaines. Thanks guys!

I called this store for a notary. They said that he would be there for another 10 minutes. I did not indicate that my husband would be coming in instead of myself. When my husband arrived, they refused him. The notary tells the other employee I thought it was a woman. Black males should know they may not be welcomed or served. They would not provide their services because he was not what they expected.

I went to UPS store in Des Plaines in Lee st on Monday for a shipping quote they said $25.00 Went back on Wed same exact package a different gut said $47.00. When I asked why big difference the guy could not explain. So I tool package to USPS down the street and they delivered package for $19.35. Unreal. I believe there is integrity issues at the UPS store in Des Plaines on Lee street. Will never use that stores service again.

I paid for my shipping before arriving to store. Asked nicely if they could print off my label for me as I dont own a printer. The employee said there is no way the UPS system would allow him to do that. I ended up printing my label at the library and took my package to the Mount Prospect UPS store. The employee there didnt even use my label and was able to print and package my return with no questions asked. Will never go back to the Des Plaines UPS store again. Employees are very unhelpful.

Showed up at 5:45 just before the truck pulled in for pickup. Sales rep sped through my order so it could get on the truck before it left. Very friendly salesman. Manager helped a woman take a heavy box to her car. Two thumbs up

This is the first time Ive been charged to tape up boxes. $3 for two boxes and $2 to print labels. I took my packages to Norridge.

First time I go they told me my package needed to be in a box, fair enough I never do this so I went to get the box, next day I forgot my return label they told me there was a fee for using 15 minutes a computer and to print which was $5, they guy had the worst customer service so I figured I was not gonna give him my money, third time I come they told me that for tape it they will charge me a dollar, I asked him that it would be really cool if they let people know all they needed specially if it was your first time returning something, they guy gave me an horrible attitude and I said ok charge me, when I pulled my debit card out he laughed and said cash only, got pissed and I ask for my stuff back(I didnt have any cash) the guy throws my stuff at me. Sorry but not even my family threats me like that, I did the same thing with his stuff, thrown to the grown and left. I work in customer service and as much as the customer yelled at me, I just smile and keep going... these Asian guys they are rude, impolite and then they try to charge you for everything. Went to other ups store, guys was super friendly didnt charge me for anything (since he explained to me they shouldnt) and my package its on the way back. NEVER EVER GO TO THIS STORE IN SPECIFIC, theres one a couple minutes away on greenwood way better, dont deal with these guys.Oh btw one of the Asian guys wanted to fight me, I just laughed turned my back on him and left.

Poor customer service. Store manager was curt and dismissive. Will charge you for tape and any little item used. When asked why they charge $10 for tape (when other ups stores don’t) the store manager replied “we are a retail store not customer service store.”

They took a Chegg box and assured me it was to be sent off. A month later I am being charged $150 by Chegg for not returning by book. As I could see from the other reviews here- they do this often.

If you want a receipt for your package dropped dont go there
