Ive lived here for 6 months now. DEAN is awesome great guy and cares about the people here. Grounds are always kept up, every holiday they have something going on in the club house people are friendly who live here. All around its a nice place for an older park.
This place would be alot safer and cleaner if some of the trash referring to space 59 lived in the middle of the desert and not there. Attracts a lot of company I would not want around my kids. If your into loud mouth disrespectful ladys. Your in the right spot. All hours you can hear her or see her driving around fast almost hitting animals and residents. Now there is new management so hopefully they clean up the park and get rid of the trash.
We loved this park! Arrived late on a Saturday night and the owner met us at the front gate and let us in, he directed us toward our spot, and we paid ($30 for a tent/car camping site) - it was quick and efficient! There is a pool that’s heated with the mineral springs to 94 degrees, and a hot tub to 104 degrees. Even though it was chilly, it felt wonderful at night and in the morning in both! It’s an adults only park so there are very little chemicals in the water. The restrooms were clearly updated, and in the morning there were lots of little bunnies and some ducklings walking around. We would for sure stay here again if in the area - it was a relaxing and rejuvenating stay!
This park & Dean (the host/everything guy) is marvelous! Theres a mineral heated pool, mineral hot tub, laundry facility, nice bathrooms with showers (all remodeled), even a dog park area. FYI: Its an adult park so no young children (which I personally was happy about as I have no children & appreciate quieter evenings). Dean assists with back-in & hooking up & is a wealth of information for activities nearby & even recommended an auto shop for me (I needed an alternator). Oh & the views are wonderful!
Went for breakfast pretty good, lunch menu is way better.
Dean was espectacular. The place is nice and well maintained. I am so thankful my family and I got the chance to share a special trip like this one. Definitely recommend, the staff is so kind, generous and thoughtful. Will be back soon♥️ The Rv Sites are great and spacious.
I just wanted to say thank you, to Dean and Shawnna for going above and beyond for every holiday theme event you guys put on here. You guys really make everybody feel at home. *NoNo*
Its awesome here kick back people were friendly and nobody bothers you or your stuff your personal belongings
The management is over the top, you will feel like family. Pool and hot tub never close. Love love love this place. I came to visit, now its my home.Update.... under new management, no longer a 50+ park. Dont understand but it seems the owners of the park either dont understand the rules that govern RV parks or dont care. We received no notice from the owners or the old manager. Prices went up on everything, new manager blames old manager for not charging enough. The old manager was hurt helping a new tenant park their RV. He is unable to work and lost his position. Just an example water was $30 every other month, now is 45 monthly. Electric is metered but they read the meter. This is a gated community before we had a code and key pad now you need a clicker that takes a deposit. The bushes dividing the sights are now up to the renters to trim, this is/was an over 50 park. The new management makes deals with me then forgets about the deal. I hear we could just move out, take the money we owed them and find a different place to live. But its not in writing so not sure if the manager will remember. Except the only thing we owe is not past due. Except what they say was not billed correctly.Being disabled, without a vehicle that works and no outside help this is a big problem for some of us. Places to rent within our means are not easy to find, it seems our golden years arent made of gold. The people that live here are on set incomes, we arent rich. But most were happy here. This was a DREAM come true two years ago, now its a nightmare. I am only posting this because no one else that has already left has posted anything. This was a good place to spend your final years, now were almost homeless. But they are going to improve the park as so to make a better profit or sell...but it wont include us.
Not really experience much just a very busy entrance and exits so many people were going in at the time I was there entering long line for I dont know what
Beautiful day went swimming with my girl?
2 stars and going down .
Very quiet and out of the way. A great find.
Mostly residential, with no dedicated transient section.
I have lived here since December 24th 1995 and this December 24th will be 25 Years. Max I Gregory
This is a RV park mixed with vans motorhomes and trailers if you can call them that. Would not want to live here.
This place is great. Dean the manager will go far and beyond to help out. The hot tub and pool are fantastic. I will be coming back again. And again. And again!
This is an OK little park - out of the way and quiet. Truth be told it does need some work as the park is showing its age. The naturally warm mineral water spa/pool was nice with very low chlorine added, 3-4%. We had a good site with parking room for my truck. Mgmt was great - hard working guy who was very friendly and helpful. Also, a small dog run. We camped at Desert Springs Spa RV Park in a 32 Fifth Wheel.
Good neighbors..
Very awesome and quite place to relax. Amazing spring pools and an awesome soul for a Park manager! We enjoyed it a lot and we can only recommend this place! 11/10
I have been boondocking in the desert for the past 8 months. My friend and I came to this park for a respit for two days about 6 weeks ago and liked it so much we stayed 4. So this week I traveled again to this park for a break with my grandchildren. We love the pool and the hot tub is truly hot and amazing. Dean and his wife are lovely and are hard workers. They make us feel welcome and I appreciate them and their hard work very much. Topless swimming is allowed here and the pool is open 24 hours. The park has a great vibe and is well maintained. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful area, clean, friendly neighbors.
Great pool and hot tub. Well maintained and well run park. Nice friendly low key people. I will be back!
I like this place
Dean and Terry are great managers. Keep the park clean and neat. Mineral water pool which is wonderful. People here are very friendly and a nice little community. Recommend this park for a long or short stay.
After spending about 2 hours trying to find a place for the night with only intermittent cell coverage I found this lovely park. We registered after hours with no hassle. The gentleman who opened the gate was more than kind and helpful. The price ($45.00) was a fraction of what was on offer elsewhere. We stayed the night, slept peacefully in the cool quiet, and before we left in the morning several people stopped to exchange pleasantries. As we left we looked at each other and commented on how unusual this level of openness was in our experience. But were newly arrived Californians. Maybe this is common.
The manager is friendly, and on top of things. The park is older, but maintained. People are friendly, and will chat you up. Funky desert atmosphere. The pool is about 90 degrees, and jacuzzi 103. Pool open 24 hours. Get close to Deans office, or pool reception. We have stayed three times.
We live in park 2 years very quite nice management lots are good size plan on staying. Jemes and robert
Friendly and very accommodating. WiFi cuts in and out but you are suppose to be doing other things anyway. The gentleman met us late Christmas night and helped us get in. He said he would catch up with us in the morning and to just set up and relax. Very nice people.
Verbally Abused by some random drunk, then dismissed by the Manager while trying to report the same abuse!Last night, around 9:20 p.m. I pulled up to visit a friend at the Desert Springs RV Park/Campground and as I opened my car door and stepped out a nearby neighbor was shouting vulgar and derogatory names. Not having done anything and just arriving, I dismissed it, and assumed it had nothing to do with me, but looked toward the guy who was standing on his porch facing my direction and continued shouting out demeaning sexual names in my direction. I greeted my friend, then this guy just straight out calls me a demeaning, sexist name. I shouted back what the Hell are you talking about crazy man? He continued on with nonsense and was obviously drunk & shouting every vulgar name his tiny little brain could think of.I told the man to stop shouting at me! Some nearby neighbors began asking what was going on? I informed them that I had no idea but, for some reason he was yelling at me and my friend (who doesn’t know him either) One of the neighbors called the Manager for me when I asked if they knew the number, and by this time the man was approaching my car. I told him to back off and leave me alone and called him a few choice names as well. This guy slowly returned to his porch but continued with accusations and derogatory slur.As the Manager pulled up in his golf cart this guy was still going at it, so the Manager hear some of it. The Manager began telling him that he needed to stop his unacceptable behavior, and quiet down, and go inside for about 7-8 minutes, telling this guy how he was threatening his ability to remain at the Park and he would have to leave if he didn’t stop the bad behavior, an obvious pattern. After the Manager was done talking to the man, he started driving away in his golf cart and coming toward me and my friend, then I noticed he was going to keep on going right past us so, I called out to him with “Excuse Me” I introduced my self and began to tell the Manager what had happened and he interrupted me to say that he had already talked to that guy and that was going to have to leave and so was my friend, and he began to inform me about my friends lease and other complaints, and I interrupted him to inform him that I don’t have that personal information and he should talk to my friend if he had anything to say about that. So, to wrap it up with a comment; After being verbally abused by some Rando for no apparent reason, my attempt to make a complaint to Management, I was cut off and rudely dismissed, by the most unprofessional Manager I have ever come across, involves me in the details of a private contract with my friend and Desert Springs RV Park/Campground then rides off in a golf cart while shouting to my friend that he was not planning or renewing her lease when it came up, and that is how she finds out that “Management” has an issue with her, and her stay there may be in jeopardy. I’m Stumped!
This was a gem of a park. Dean was beyond accommodating and helpful with everything we needed. I couldnt have asked for a better experience, we rested and recharged, had some great conversations, and learned from more experienced full time RVers about how to manage our rig. I hope to be back at some point, and I would highly recommend this park to anyone. Great price, great amenities, great people.
Dean is a very good Manager he helps everybody that need help in here he has a good heart
Dean was very helpful and pleasant. This park is perfect if youre looking for a casual laid back experience. The hot tub and pool are mineral fed and quite lovely. Its in a good central location: Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, The Saltan sea, Bombay Beach, Indio and Yucca valley were all just a day trip away. We would highly recommend the botanical cactus garden, the Salton Sea and Joshua Tree! We had a great time. Knowing that we were heading home to a nice, low key, quiet park was a great ending to every day. If you visit them tell them The Davies family from Canada sent you!! Enjoy your trip :)
Fabulous spot! A hidden gem... would recommend to anyone.. the pool and spa are amazing
Sweet place. Great friendly service, adult space. WONDERFUL hot tub. Nice heated pool. Bathroom needs an upgrade but otherwise the place was a 5.
Top
If you have a small rig your ok. My 40ft 5th wheel just made it. Tight corners, very tight RV spots, most are fulltime RVers with permanent spots, people seemed friendly but the manager has a bad reputation in the area for being difficult.
Its ok. Last visit they parked us on a sand dune. Leveling jacks disappeared sub-surface and didnt help without long boards under them. Other sites there are on solid ground. They have a natural hot water pool if you dont mind green colored water. Repeat, its ok.
Have lived in the park now about 3 weeks. QUIET! Enjoy seeing the rabbits, ducks and owls. Friendly people! Great management!
Clean, friendly, responsive. Pool clean, bathrooms clean, hot tub hot and clean. We loved it. Large spaces, some pull-through. All with a bit of privacy.
Lots of full timers with old & rundown tvs. Bath had just been remodeled, nice. Pool & hot tub needed cleaning. Beautiful mountain views. Too pricey.
Outstanding resort, well managed, good residents. Quite, laid back adult spa... wonderful pools
Revisited this park a year later, (now Feb, 2014) The same friendly managers are here. They recognized us and gave us the same spot! The water is just as good and soothing as before. The surrounding greenery looks lush because they installed a water reclaimation system which water the entire park. We look forward to coming back every year!Clean, gated friendly and peaceful. Gooood mineral water!!!
If this is the nicest place that you can afford then it is probably a welcome discovery that it is clean and well maintained.
Been here now a year and it has been GREAT! Funky, good water, and safe. Management takes his job seriously. A+ er
What a awesome place they have 4 hot tubs different levels of hot, prices are great compared to the KOA they dont give any price reductions here you get a good deal
We arrived after dark in February, it was very cold . Google directions were not good. I called the RV Park the manager said “ I know where you. I’ll come get you with the golf cart. “. He found us, helped us turn around and escorted us to the park and guided us to our spot. He is who the stars are for since we left the next morning early.
We luv the property & facilities... Dean, the Manager is great!
It’s always nice they’re very friendly
Very nice and quiet . The hot springs swimming pool is wonderful . Dean the manager could not be any better or nicer. We will continue to make this our destination in California.
Quiet place
Nice RV Park would stay here on my next trip
Great day and night mineral pool and jacuzzi.
Great hidden quite park. Staff is hard working and amazing!
Not place the manager was intrussive and violated my rights under the american with disabilities act
Rude management. Very rude.
Strange place.
Dean is great, very helpfull, a older park but very clean. The pool is ok as is the hot tub, huge area for dogs, no grass. The WiFi is very weak, that would be a nice upgrade, I was really surprised that they wont read the meter until im hooked up and ready to leave, ive honestly never seen that before.
Awesome place! Managed tip top!
THIS MANAGER WAS SO BIPOLAR TO DEAL WITH AND DID SUCH DIRTY TRICKS TO CAUSE NEEDLESS PROBLEMS AND CHEATED ME ON ELECTRIC AND ACCUSED ME OF CRAZY STUFF.. .. I WAS SO UNFAIRLY TREATED FOR NO REASON AND DID NOTHING TO CAUSE IT...MGMT HERE IS UNSTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONANAL!!
Park is nice considering its DHS
Quiet,friendly, and an awesome staff.
Great spot and great people with great nightly rates!
Welcoming and clean...good place
Nice place
A DUMP...WITH POTENTIALLY LETHAL TOXINS; health dept. closed pool and spa temp over legal limits. Poor management. Avoid at all costs..
Best kept secret in Desert Edge!!!
Hot but awesome hot spas!
Love it and its quiet and clean
Couldnt have been a more pleasant stay.
Nice people
Perfect
Nice place to stay
I have never been here
Cozy place
Because of the manger and they charge to much for the space
Good
Slums
Grate manger
👌👌👍👍
First of all the guy that helped us get in the park was a great guy. The pictures on the website are deceitful. The natural hot spring pool was not very clean. The hot tub looked ok. There were no chairs or loungers around the pool. The mens bath/ shower room did not have any handle to turn the water on. Walking around the park it appeared to be very old and not well maintained. It appeared to be more permanent residents. Our second night right outside our camper there was some dispute going on and things were being thrown out into the street. The next morning the Sheriff was there and appeared to be looking for someone. The following evening someone was playing music pretty loud but not real late into the night. Other than the roadrunner that came right up into our camper for food it was not a RV park we would ever stay in again.
If you do not have a cloud, you can see everything separately, and even though I went there in February, it is not that cold.If you plan to have a coyote cry once a day and a two-night stay, enjoy a jacuzzi and a swimming pool! The water temperature is also warm enough to be perfect even if I play in winter. But at night, there are many people sleeping in other camper cars, so be quiet a little! Do not let other camper cars spot you !! Please be careful!
Very nice RV Park, quiet area with thermal water pool and SPA.
