I enjoy a regular sandwich over a burger any day of the week. The pastrami at the Wind Mill is worth driving the 20 miles one way to pick up. I like the Staff and the ambience of a no frills establishment. There is a lovely area behind the Market to sit and enjoy lunch. The Owner actually lives at the back of the property. He works alongside of his crew. Lol. Customers are diverse and from all over the world.

The dates, which are the fruits, have been cultivated and eaten for thousands of years in the Middle East and Africa. Dates are also full of fiber and nutrients, and as a bonus pack plenty of power being 80% sugar when dried.The date shake I had was pretty much a vanilla milkshake with dates blended in. The taste was sweet, nutty, and very distinctive. If you have ever been to the Cochella Valley, then youve been to the heartland of dates. Dates have been grown there for years. Some say the date shake was even invented there. So if you are ever find yourself passing though Palm Springs, Morongo, Indio, take a side trip and try a date shake.

Coming home from the Salton sea I decided to stop by this place since I never had a date shake before. The shake was really good and the staff was friendly and very welcoming I highly recommend trying this place out.

Wow! Thier date shake was amazing. I went here because a youtube travel series I watched visited this place and Im so happy I went. Staff is friendly and local dates are for sale as well. Check out thier cool soda selection as well.

Windmill Market has the best stroganoff everything they cook it homemade great customer service the date shakes are very good theyre up there with the best in the valley and they look like a hole in the wall what is the great Market good food good conversation I recommend it to everybody that wants to go and visit desert North Palm Springs I give it a ten

Stopped here after driving through Joshua tree park, really good food and really good date shakes. Parking is limited in front but a few spaces in alley. Super friendly, super clean grocery/shake and food place. Id go back

This is my favorite place when I want a date shake. Im not in this area often, but when I am, this is my go to. Plus they have a nice little area to eat at that you wouldnt even know was there. You actually have to go into the building then it the back door to get to a really nice sitting area. How you al ebbing this place.

Delicious date shakes, wonderful fresh dates to taste. We bought two boxes of different types. Staff could not have been more friendly or charming. Food coming out of the kitchen looked great!
