STAY AWAY PLEASE! The reason they call it down the road motors is because if you buy a car from them YOU WILL BE STUCK DOWN THE ROAD!!! ok I know we desperate but this car lot lacks common sense ! I leased a 2012 Chevy Malibu for 8k the day I drove off the lot the check engine light came on and I had to make 6 different trips for them to “ fix it” but really just reset it . So whoever has that car your welcome for the new catalytic converter that my dad installed ! Everyone there except for Jennifer is rude like they aren’t ripping ppl off . Not to mention they sold me the car with mold in the back of both floor boards threw some mats over it and kept it pushing and didn’t even offer to detail it . I gave the car back because it was too much hassle and totally not worth the money . But plz plz look for something BETTER like Don Davis or anything’s els ! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY . PS- Joe had me test drive a 2015 Chevy Malibu with the radio broken and half the seat missing and didn’t understand why I didn’t like it like what !!! sum seriously wrong with this man’s head .

I think they are good. Just do what you need to do and they will do their part. They offer you a dealer warranty on your and the warranty allows you to get your car fixed when something happens to your car. I really enjoyed my time with them. Just take care of your bussiness

Down the road Motors is the best place to get a used car. All my years of dealing with tote the note car lots. A Christian family with old school values.After you buy from them. They become family and you will always have a ride.There prices are great low and affordable. Cash cars or payments to fit your budget. I love this lot its the only place I buy my ride.

I usually dont do reviews but this was the worst experience of my life. My first car purchase from them the car stopped on the freeway. They let me trade it in and the other car was awful too. I was referred to them. I dont see how they are still in business. They buy salvage vehicles and over price them. They are a shady company. Run away from down the road motors in DeSoto. Joe does not care about his customers only $$$$$

I have bought a couple cars from down the road motors, and I have had a great experience. They are used cars so obviously everything isn’t perfect, but they do their best to fix the problems and keep me driving. As long as you pay your car note they will bend over backwards for you.

My husband was looking for a work car. When we arrived on the lot my husband saw a car he wanted to test drive. A guy by the name of Joe gave him the keys without getting a copy of my husbands drivers license or anything. We test drove an decided we would make a purchase after we were done with errands etc.. Joe insisted we take the car to run errands and to get a feel for the car. Still NO copy of my husbands drivers license. So we left ran errands and returned the car within the hour. Joe was already outside waiting. Hes words: Man how much stuff did yall buy from Walmart..Now i can call the police back an let them know the car wasnt stolen. Now keep in mind we left our 2017 Lexus on his lot. Joe continues to say,I didnt know if the Lexus was stolen and you guys were trying to switch out cars😡. UNBELIEVABLE! My husband still decided to purchase the car. We were not home a good 10mins before my husband received three voice messages from Joe asking my husband to give him a call. The third message: Listen Im missing $1460.00 you and I were the only ones in my office. Can you please return or Ill have to come and pick up the car😡😡. Joe had given my husband his paper work along with an envelope that had $1460.00 inside that my husband knew nothing about. Just assumed it was all his paperwork for the car we purchased. We were so upset my husband called him an lets just say we dropped the car off the next day. Joe was so apologetic saying he didnt mean anything by it. Just wanted my husband to return the money. Never once did he apologize for accusing my husband for something he accidentally added with all the paperwork. He continued to say he was a christian blah blah blah. Very unprofessional and down right disrespectful. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

They have good intentions. They’ll fix your car if it’s broken. They’ll work with you if you’re late. I mean it’s definitely not mega motors you know what you’re getting. Yea I didn’t like being harassed when it was the due date of my car note but they’ve gotten better. Sometimes it’s just inconvenient to have amounts added to your account for major maintenance issues that should have been addressed before the car hit the lot. I loved that they reported our payments to the credit bureau and I hate to have to stop doing business with them. I would just rather get a better car without starting off with the service light already being lit. So if you really need something I’d recommend them because it was very easy to get a car.

I say I would use them again because I was late a few times with my car and my mothers note and the big guy and I had a few words, but they help my mom and I to get the car paid off and gave us our title.. They just need you to make sure you do your part because they are trusting people from what we tell them..I would recommend them to who ever need a chance..

This place preys on your desparity in needing a vehicle. The first vehicle Joe tried to sale me only had one headlight working. When I declined that vehicle he gave me a vehicle that had recently been in a flood. How recent you say? The inside of the car was STILL soaking wet. He first lied and said it was due to them detailing the inside and would dry soon. A week later the car was STILL wet on the inside and I also found black mold inside the car. I also looked in the trunk where the spare tire was housed and that tire was wet (mind you a week later).I took the car back requesting my down payment back and Joe said he would investigate it. Joe said it could have been due to a heating coil leak then said there was nothing wrong with the car, no mold, just dirt. All lies, I had this car inspected on my own and mold was found which was making me sick. Bottom line, no refund given. They are shady in their practices, harrass you before your payment is due and only care about money, not service. Stay away!

Horrible car lot, Joe is rude & very unprofessional. Majority of their cars have something wrong with them...I had to switch cars 4 times before calling it a quit. They never answer the phones, they are horrible just like Mega Motors!

I would not recommend anyone to this car lot all of the cars and trucks have over 250,000 miles joe is a liar and a snake he say one thing and do another I purchased a vehicle from him the check engine came on literally when I got on I-35 then when I told him I took it to there shop across the highway they still did nothing to it then I kept putting my money into it on top of paying the notes the name of the lot is a true stuck down the road I would suggest chase autos or owings auto ps do not go to dakk fine cars because they will refer you there

I have had my 2005 ford explorer they charged me 8000 for it it has been a year and a half ihave had a run of hrd time.meaning i hve lost my job and i get irritating clls i feel like i been cheated because the book value is on ll y 6800Sometimes we say thongs in a fit of frustration Mr Joe has really been working with me things have been hard but he has been patient.

Ive been with them for almost two years and through ups and downs they are the best in town

Joe or one of his workers stole my property. Never do business here! The cars are not even good.

The cars are horrible. My car started overheating, bad brakes, electrical issues with the windows and signal, and just took it to get its first oil change and they tell me someone plugged the transmission with a rubber thing that is not supposed to be there and it has a leak. I will never do business again or recommend anyone to this place.
