Four days after getting the car (yes, I did test drive it), It was giving me problems. Took it back to get it fixed. Few weeks later I Called to let them know the problem is still occurring, basically was told I have to pay them just to look at it again or I can take it to another auto place to be fixed. Which I shouldn’t have to b/c they never fixed the problem the first time . & the problem they “said” that was fixed, wasn’t the problem to begin with. I really feel like they knew what was going on, & just tell you anything you want to hear. Now I have to come out more money to get it fixed & still pay a car note, & they’re not doing anything to Rectify the problem.Definitely will not recommend this car lot & I’m taking legal steps to get out this headache.

Please the owner or manager needs to call me. Unauthorized charges to my credit card when I have Never been to your facility in the amount of 206.00.$! Do you guys not check identification or do you just type the numbers in the customer said? I’ve notified the bank the address it was used at was yours and it was keyed in not swiped so clearly someone either you or your customer is committing fraud. If you were unaware and a mistake was made please refund my card immediately otherwise I will be calling the police in the morning because like I said it’s your address the charge came from you and someone typed it in. Refund the money and I will not involve you with the police and change my review. This is urgent

If I could give negative stars. My experience with them is everything of a nightmare, harassment, and a place I wish I no longer want any form of contact with. I’ve endured disrespect and close to violence towards me because I was trying to do the right thing and turn in a vehicle I felt I wouldn’t be able to afford due to change of management and date pay. Upon me returning the vehicle, I was told they do not have a early turn in option (something I’ve never heard of before). Amongst me trying to understand why and requesting proof that I’ve turned it in, I’ve been yelled at, told to leave, and had a violent man that has said out of his mouth that he is threatening me, when I turned away from him he tried to force his way through my husband and touched my hair (if my husband didn’t stop him, it would have been my head). The camera was facing towards everything. I at that point called the police. They told the cops that the cameras do not work! Why lie and say that if you didn’t do anything wrong? We have on audio EVERYTHING including them telling me that I shouldn’t have provoked him (by turning around and ignoring him? ON CAMERA)Now today well after giving them the car they sent a letter lying and saying that I still have the vehicle and to turn it in! That means that they’re going to lie on my credit and put a repossession. This is illegal! I am moving forward with my charges and I have every document and recording that I’ve given that vehicle back and the payment for having the car that last week of having it. Do not think they I’m not fighting these lies!

DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR HERE! They sold my 19 year old daughter a car (her first car) with no working odometer. They claimed that was the only thing wrong with the car. Two days later the water pump went out and the timing belt went out. These scammers offered to cover some of the cost - after inflating the price - to have their mechanic fix it. I reluctantly agreed. Weeks later we hadn’t heard from the them after. We called to ask how much longer for the car to be fixed. We were told they not got the ok to work on the car which was a complete lie. Then they said their mechanic has COVID so they can’t fix it and to come get the car. They tried to charge us storage fees for leaving the car there for them to fix. On the work order they wrote “customer refused service”. These people are scammers selling trash cars that the know are going to fall apart soon after they are sold. You’ve been warned. Do not buy from these scammers.

Dont go here at all purchased a vehicle here and the engine went out 6 weeks after having it. Was told by the salesman the engine was just put in. They are just a bunch of money hungry people who gets over on people.

The person I dealt with was reasonable initially but became pushy and short with me as time went on despite my remaining calm and patient. The car was in their possession for the better part of a month which I thought a bit long for what ended up being less than one days worth of billable repair hours. They did an estimate of something like $650 and, while repairing the vehicle, ran into some problems that would end up doubling the price (slightly over double actually). No worries though. They did the repairs without needing to get ahold of me. To be fair they did call me but I was at work and it was after my lunch break so I couldnt call them back until the next morning. Too late! I also came to understand after getting some estimates for that same repair at different locations while in for other repairs that my original quote was about double what it should typically cost for that repair. So I paid about four times the price. Regardless of what they charge (I am a believer in supply and demand economics), they should not have done anything with such a huge discrepancy between the quote and actual cost until they got my verbal approval.I have never encountered a shop this crooked. I write this knowing that most people dont read reviews but for those savvy enough to search around it will become pretty obvious as you read the multitude of bad reviews that no decent shop would generate this much negative publicity. Think about it!!

Please Please DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I was behind two payments of $80 & they repo the car. They do not care about any personal issues you have and will not try and work with you. They wanted me to return the car for two late payments in the middle of my shift. I told the lady on the phone I was at work & I’d be fired if I left in the middle of my shift. I also told the lady I had the money owed ($95) and I could pay the very next day. Well I was left with “Please return the car by 5pm today”. Well the very next day on my way to the bank to get the money to pay them, they repo the car. Costing me my job and so much more. Now they are trying to sue me for 10 thousand dollars for a 2008 vehicle which isn’t worth that at all. Very unprofessional and cold hearted business team. I’ve received letters two days apart which isn’t giving me time to pay anything but now I’m being sued. I gave 1 star but if I could I would give -1 star.

I totally agree with the other reviews! Dearborn Total Automotive is a complete ripoff and scam artists. I got a 2004 Ford Taurus from them in which the engine and trans went out. My mechanic advised me to junk the car, because it was not drivable. I informed Kristin of the problem, and she accused me of drivin the car to death. I only had the car about 8/9 months. I gave them the car back, and now they are garnishing my checks for $8,400. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau.

This is the most unprofessional place I have ever encountered.. Andrea is so rude and nasty... I purchased a car for my daughter from them upon initial purchase there was nothing explained about insurance.. My daughter is under my policy so just the car needed to be added.. Every month we received bogus letters in the mail from them stating they were going to repo the car due to no insurance. Also they sent a letter stating my insurance company contacted them and told them the insurance policy had lapsed..THIS WAS TOTALLY FALSE AND UNTRUE..I contacted my insurance company and they informed me THIS WAS O TOTAL LIE the representative said they never contact a car company about a policy.. Every month I had to have my insurance company fax a declaration letter to them.. I finally got fed up and called the grand river car lot because I received another letter from my insurance company stating they wanted to be added to my insurance policy as the lien/title holder of my daughters car.. Andrea was very unprofessional and rude to where she hung up on me.. Needless to say I arrived at the cat lot not very happy..she ran into the office and called her boss to tell her side of the situation. Bottom line is.. THIS PLACE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL... MANAGEMENT need to do inventory of their staff and give them training on how to handle and resolve Customer complaints.. They have a job because we buy their products. That doesnt give anyone a right to talk or treat people in any demeaning manor..BUT I BET ANDREA WONT TRY IT AGAIN...HORRIBLE BUSINESS ON GRAND RIVER... HORRIBLE

This Place is a rip off all of them are crooks... I purchase a car from them after 4 day it ran hot... Come to find out the head gaskets were blown, radiator also out... They excuse me of damaging the car and expected me to pay for the repairs and the car payments. Do not ever do busy with this company they are horrible p people... I cant see how they sleep at night getting over and stealing from ppl with that bogus contract...

I bout a car from here and was paying on time next thing I kno someone calls me and says I owe $100 payment so because of their computer mistake they wanted me to pay $100 knowing I pay biweekly. I the. Was told to bring the car back or it would be reposed and that a additional $750 would be applied.. At 630 doc who works for them hopped n my car and pulled off... The next morning I call and see whats going on why they even came to get my car kristin says I have to pay 800 and something dollars to get my car back plus get 6 month insurance when initially I got a 7 day policy to get off the lot that they told me to get these people make up fees and their own rules and regulations I am praying that fox 2 picks this story up and shuts this place down.. All the cars have issues .. I had the car two weeks and the transmission went out I returned the car to them and they tell me I have to pay 1800 for a new transmission.. They dont go by credit. If you have a job, bank account, and down payment you can drive off with SOMETHING. Most are 2 year payments or less from 50 to 100 weekly.
