Don’t expect anything more than a deli / bar / convenience store and you wont be disappointed. Nice staff and very clean. Limited selection that consists of mostly healthy snacks, beer, wine, milk and fancy soaps. Also everything is fairly expensive. All the food looks good so I cannot really speak to the delis quality other than the pot pies are not great. Also has a bar that serves alcohol.-NoneMoreHip
I really like Plum Market because it makes good and healthy food accessible and quick. I have eaten from the self serve bar several times and although it is a little pricey for the amount of food you get, the food is always fresh and well stocked. Around lunch time, the market gets pretty crowed, but it is well staffed so the line moves quickly. I like their salad bar because they have lots of fresh veggies, cheeses and other toppings. I have only eaten from the salad bar, but they have a good variety of other options like cooked veggies, chicken and tofu.
The best market around. The employees are amazing and Paul goes above and beyond with not only his customers but his employees also, so much respect from all the staff. What a pleasure it is to visit his store. Please try the deli also, simply amazing. Thank you for bringing this wonderful market to Detroit, we all LOVE IT!!!!
I come here almost every day before going to work. The food is delicious ( I especially love the soup); its a cozy environment; & it attracts a nice crowd. The prices are a little bit high, but I really enjoy coming here
If youve been to a Plum Market you have an idea about the grocery side, but youve never an urban grocery store like this. They claim essentials (which they definitely have, from the usual high-end, organic, and sustainable sources), but this location is so much more. A bar that serves specialty coffee drinks, beer, wine, and pastries. A large hot and cold bar. An entire wall of refreshing drinks. Theres also ample seating and an outdoor patio. This Plum Market is perfect for a quick snack and drink, any time of day.
This little market is outstanding. I went a few times in my business trip. Awesome made to order, as well as hot food bar and salad bar. Perfect spot for healthy lunch or breakfast. Also a great beer selection in the coolers.
Way overpriced. Hardly any traditional food. For example: Theres no such thing as a turkey sandwich with mayo, lettuce and tomato. It will have some sort of sauce Ive never heard of, on a bread Ive never heard of, and additional random toppings. Plus its packed - Not a lot of space to walk through the store.
Our go-to grocery shopping downtown. Dont forget to join the rewards program for great coupons and cash back. Great happy hour specials with a nice patio outside.
Keeping it simple. Always well stocked. Always fresh. Niche items not found everywhere. Friendly staff.
Love this place. Expensive but the quality in food is worth it. Not your average grocery store. Atmosphere is great.
WOW what a great shot in the arm for downtown Detroit, Great store, Great food, Everything you need right there at the foot of Woodward and Jefferson. Joslyn at the beer and wine counter is the best
This is a great spot to grab some lunch. They also have a really good wine selection too.
Thanks a place has a heart beat, great products in every section, hot food, lunch spot. Detroit is on it s way and Plum is a destination. Each time visited it was packed.
Great place, gets busy during lunch. They should invest in self checkout counters.
Posh grocery store. high prices albeit reasonable given the real estate. need meat options tho. at least carry some poultry and fish.
Everything is fresh if your on a dieta vegan or a pestpaterian then this is a good place for you to eat
Way overpriced but good food. Poor management, they do a bad job at keeping customers in line. The manager always occupies a table at lunch, forcing customers to sit with strangers, while she has a 3-4 person table to herself to do her work. Luxury prices should come with a luxury experience.
Love it. Would love it more if they had a bakery and meat selection.
Its a little expensive Ive been to other gourmet markets that was cheaper
The store is not open and the hours are not updated. I have to pay for parking even though i didn’t purchase anything.
For the longest time the core of Detroit had 2 choices, any of the generic Spartan Foods supermarkets or Whole Foods. Now there is a third: Plum Market. While it is a little on the pricy side, it packs a wide variety of food from all over. It also features a Zingermanns Cafe and a full service hot food bar/salad bar. They even have a Moet vending machine which is worth trying out(it costs 20$). Their plants/floral department is also quite nice.
I like the salad and hot bar for a quick lunch, no fresh produce for sale like at a traditional market and a bit expensive for the salad and hot bar but great food and friendly service.
Love love this place being down town clean and the staff is ready to help
Nice staff, good eats, the light fixtures would be more attractive if cleaned
Plum Market... where your groceries have sales tax because there’s a table and chairs. Can’t even buy some unwashed grapes without paying sales tax. Everything is overpriced and they spray perfume/scents on their packaging to trick your brain into thinking it is fresh. The employees are rude and hood. And they probably couldn’t afford the grapes. This is a joke in Detroit the poorest city in the country. I’d rather go to eastern market and support Michigan farmers and Detroit small-businesses to help our local people prosper, not make some greedy millionaire in Oakland county richer.
Great breakfast hot bar, bakery, coffee bar, fresh Flowers, free parking for one hour and Saturday and Sunday free parking for 2 hours
I’ve never been to plum market before but travis the bar tender there was very pleasant and made me feel at home after telling of plum market history i felt he could’ve been the face of the company will be coming by a lot more often
One of the best places Ive shopped at in a while, the staff is happy and already ready to be Id service, the food is always fresh, Im grateful that stores like this exist!!

Will not too good because I took my uncle down there to do a little shopping and he 75 years old and lives hes a senior on disability and he receives SNAP food benefits any told him they wouldnt honor his his benefits at that store downtown only the store in the suburbs hes been living downtown Detroit for the last 25 years way before plum market even had an idea coming to so were thinking about getting a lawyer and filing a civil rights case against 😕🤔🤔👎👎👎👎
If you need non dairy, non soy, non gluten, and non corn ice cream, they have it!
Its missing a Sees Candy counter. . .
Had to ask the Cashier for a bag and a receipt....this place is to expensive to offer less than 5 star service js
Great Food bar selections
Loved this little market.
If youre looking for healthy choices, this is the place. It is a bit pricey.
