My hosts recommend this place for picking up Detroit swag and I am so glad I went. There’s so many great little shops on this block but City Bird was the tops. Unique, cute, quaint, bawdy and badass all at the same time. I loaded up and staggered out with T’s, cards, scarves, etc.

Absolutely love this shop in midtown. There are so many great finds inside that show a love of Michigan, Detroit, and the metro area. The best advice is to just go for yourself and see what treasures you find.

Cute little shop with all kinds of Michigan artisanal products. Right in the heart of the Cass corridor. So much to do in this little neighborhood. Definitely worth an afternoon visit. Great gifts, something for everyone.

City Bird is awesome! I always love supporting small & local Detroit businesses, but City Bird has amazing products & incredible customer service, as well! I recently ordered a few items online to ship as a gift; City Bird contacted me via email just a few hours after I placed my order to let me know one of scents of an item was out of stock & would I like an alternate scent or a refund. I chose an alternate scent and then City Bird shipped my gift the same day as I ordered it! Thank you, City Bird!

I have a thing about getting magnets everywhere I visit and so I just had to stop into City Bird. Little did I know, it’s situated in a charming shopping area with a brewery, another gift shop, an amazing chocolatier, and lots more to explore. I bought a few things and loved the wide assortment of Michigan gifts, candles, pins, mugs, etc. Thank you for my Beyoncé and Britney magnets. 😍

I cannot express how happy I am as a customer of this store!! I purchased a few items for curbside pickup for a secret santa present for a coworker and wasnt sure logistically if everything was set up correctly so my coworker could pick it up since it was under my name. I called the store and spoke to the nicest employee (I feel bad I did not get a name but you were wonderful!) and she listened to my predicament and was able to quickly adjust the gift to be in my coworkers name and she even blocked out all the prices for me and any reference to my name to keep the gift secret! The items were beautiful as well and I even purchased some extras for myself :) They made a lifetime customer from that one interaction!! Thank you City Bird!

Such a great, local shop for Detroit / Michigan gifts. They have so many cute gift options. LOTS of greeting cards! Anyone can find something in their price range. Some items are more expensive (handmade, etc.) but it’s so worth supporting local businesses and artists. I bought gifts for my Detroit visitors and couldn’t help but buy myself a few items. :) I can’t wait to go back!

It was my last day in detroit and I didnt get to do much my entire month stay, so my boyfriend heard me talking about city bird and decided to get a Lyft over where we picked out an ornament for out first Christmas together. The ornament had little picture of detroit inside. the only thing is we wish they wouldve offer some type of engraving for the ornament, but we loved the quaint little shop and will be back

This is an absolutely adorable boutique full of beautiful gifts. I simply admire the air plants. They have awesome selections, something for everyone! I love City bird products! This holiday season I was looking for places to buy unique gifts for my family and once I started following them on social media I found more than enough ideas! One of my favorite purchases was a print showcasing all the stadiums in Detroit. I got this for my fiancé and my step father! Looking forward to shopping again! ❤️

Great little store for finding gifts for people who love Michigan. They also have a great selection of unique gift cards. The store does get packed though, so I recommend visiting on a Sunday when parking is free and the weather is nice outside.

Excelent for souvenirs

This place is the best. If you need a card or small gift - especially Detroit themed, this is your go to. I personally love supporting this small business because the owners are amazing humans. When I was opening my own shop in the city 4 years ago - they immediately reached out to introduce themselves and welcome me. That kind of support and dedication to maintaining the type of community spirit Detroit has is so inspiring. This is definitely a small business worth supporting.

I wish theyd have better times they are open and actually have their hours updated on Google:( I know the pandemic made it weird but I cant support you if you have bad hours

I had a fun time searching through the selection of items that City Bird had to offer. There were some funny magnets, postcards, mugs etc. I didnt end up buying anything, so I wasnt aware of pricing, but I am confident that everyone can find a little piece of what Detroit means to them here.

Detroit pride in spades! I have a long-time love affair with this store. It goes back to the days when they first started sales on Etsy, and I was getting my fix on Detroit gear after transplanting out of state. Its been a joy to see their collection blossom over the years and at this point the shop is basically overflowing with cool Michigan and Detroit themed products. Keep up the great work yall!

Nice place to visit for ex-Michiganders and Detroiters. You can rep your hometown in that new City you moved to because you couldnt find a job in Michigan with items you purchased here.

One of my favorite shops in Detroit. Heard to leave without buying a print or a cool book or some handmade awesomeness.I love that they carry Rebel Nell. Always worth a visit.

Cool store, incredible staff member! A colleague and I bought gifts for 10-15 people in our office and the gal at the store (wish I wouldve caught her name - knit Carhartt cap, tattoos) was AMAZING! Incredible service, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile. I will definitely be back - both for the products and the service!

Locals as well as tourists might like this shop.. They have great cards, Detroit and Michigan items, and lots to see. The thing I dont like is that it is not handicapped accessable. I prefer not to patronize businesses which dont care about the disabled or infirm.

City Bird is a charming store that offers Detroit themed gifts, cards, and an assortment of fun knick knacky type items. I come in here often to find items to send to my displaced michiganders or if Im just looking to add some character to a room.

Would not recommend. Overpriced and low quality. I bought a $60 dollar necklace that broke right after I bought it and they wouldnt let me have my money back. Even though it broke. Now I have $60 to spend at a store where everything is crap. Not happy. Dont shop here.
