It was a pleasant experience, mask are required. No visible wiping down of counters but I do not visit often. I take my own precautions so it was okay with at least the social distancing

Friendly staff! they aways have everything I want! If you staying at a casino hotel come here to buy your party supplies. The walk alone is worth it. These guys it will take good care of whatever drink youre thinking about.

More. Much more than most liquor stores. Their selection is pretty wide and they will special order almost anything. PLUS, they sell Fried Chicken in the back! Damn! Liquor and fried chicken is a dangerous combination but you can not beat it. Not even with a spoon.

Liquor store chicken best chicken I have ever had hands down. The tenders the thighs the breast even the fish is amazing cant go wrong and for downtown Detroit you definitely cant beat the price

This place is literally like an alcoholics dream. Speaking as a non-alcoholic, this liquor store would be my heaven if I ever became one.Athens Liquor Store is probably the first liquor store that I have ever walked into and it was an authentic liquor store. I mean this place has wall to wall liquor in it. You cant even find a faygo in this place. Hell, I am surprised that they have Coca Cola.I think that the whole abundance of liquor thing is cause most of their customers are probably from the casino and lets face it, gamblers aint really pop drinkers.Another great thing about this liquor store is that sell chicken. There is a krispy fried chicken right in the back of the store. The chicken was somewhat reasonable and the man who served it was pretty pleasant.All in all, I would recommend this liquor store. It gets all 5 stars.If you are in the greektown area and looking to get mad wasted and have your tummy filled up with some delicious chicken, i would recommend taking a trip to the Athens Liquor Store.

This is my favorite party store in the Detroit area, very nice staff and a good variety of items.

You can have the best prices and a jillion dollars in inventory and the cleanest place with a great location but none of it matters if you can’t answer your phone.
