If you are looking for someone to trust to service your bike, Jeff Coleman at the Bike Shop is THE guy. He is super nice, very good at what he does, and will get your bike running as good as new again. Maybe there will be a couple weeks wait time - probably because so many people trust him to work on their bikes that hes got lots of business. If you want it done right, take your bike to Jeff.
Great guy, easy to discuss. I can speak in laymans language and he sorts out what I mean. Reasonable prices.
Very friendly and professional service! My sons new bike works very well thanks to this shop. I would do business here again!
There have been two occasions where I stopped in and had my bike issues resolved on the spot. Furthermore, he did it more affordably than I expected. 100% worth the short drive from the Ft. Rucker area. This guy knows his stuff and will get you back on the road! He and his family are good people.
Jeff is an awesome mechanic he makes right whatever someone else screwed up on your bike! I didnt buy either bike from him but they were both built up wrong and gave me problems. Small details make a big difference and he pays attention to everything. He is very busy because of all this but the wait is well worth it. I hope to buy my future bikes from him mainly because I know they will be built right from the start!!!
The owner knows his stuff and takes time for newbies. Best bike shop I have ever been in. Calm, no pressure and answers questions. A true gentleman. Would advise everyone to purchase here and get your service here.
Not many shops like this around. Hobbyists and travelers alike will be joyed to step foot in this shop. From repairs to a new bike or a bell or whistle, youll be pleased.
This place should be call the museum bike shop. OUTDATE !!!! The guy make it look like he is soooo busy!!! Poor customer service. As a customer its like you are bother him for what ever hes doing...Been there a couple of times he never understand what you ask for or need? Someone should open a new shop with NEWER stuff!!!!
Great local bike shop. Way better than going to the other big shops in town with the used carsalesman attitudes. Great workmanship and prices.
The owner was nice and knowledgeable. Service was on time and done right
Tried calling but the phone is always busy. Tried to contact them on their website but it is on Facebook and you cant message them.
Just getting back into biking. Bought a new mountain bike. I would highly recommend this place. The owner took his time showing me bikes even ones still in boxes in the back.
Nice little shop. The owner was very friendly and, realizing that one of the bikes I liked on display had a frame that was just a little too large, he pulled out another from the back, still in the box, in a slightly smaller frame and opened it up right there. Great folks. It seems like hes got a fair bit of maintenance and repair work going on which tells me that its a pretty well regarded shop. Id certainly be looking here if I needed anything. I just popped in to check the place out and was pleased with what I saw!
I have purchased several bicycles from Jeff and he has always taken time to make sure that the bikes were properly fitted and has always serviced my bikes including the ones purchased elsewhere. Jeff is very easy to visit with and if not busy will gladly share an old racing story with you. Great setup of old bicycles on display that alone are worth visiting the store to see. Highly recommend The Bike Shop.
Bought my bike there in the mid 90s. Still looks and works great with just routine maintenance. Jeff always does Top Quality repairs at extremely fair prices. NEVER had anything less than an enjoyable experience there !!
Took my eight year old Sirrus in for a little work and he has her riding like shes brand new!
I went into this store as someone getting back into triathlons, and not extremely knowledgeable about road bikes. I was there right as the store opened, so I was the only customer. The owner came up and asked what he could help me with, and explained I had purchase a used bike with clips, and was interested in trying clip in shoes. I showed him a pic of the pedals and he cut me off saying, “I can already tell you we don’t have those.” He proceeded to say that “the shoes come with those pedals.” I calmly repeated in my confusion, “The shoes come with the pedals?” And he replied extremely rudely to me, “Well you don’t have to give me that face, I’m just telling you like it is!” And assured him I wasn’t giving him a face, but that I was just confused since I hadn’t been told that upon buying the bike. And that I wasn’t trying to be rude at all. He replied rather curtly again, “well you don’t have to look at me that way, I’m just saying...” The entirety of my conversation with him might have lasted 5 minutes, and I have never felt so small. As if he didn’t have time for someone who was newer to the sport, and all of their dumb questions. I left that store as quickly as possible very upset at how I’d been treated. I was also looking for a new helmet, sunglasses etc, but there was no way I will be giving any money to his store. And I do not recommend this store to anyone that wants reasonable customer service. I went directly over to Dothan Cycle and fitness, and Jon greeted me with a smile, and was so extremely helpful.
Has been keeping me on the road for years! Thx.
Best bike shop for servicing and repairs hands down! Very nice guy and loves to ride and support the community and is usually out riding at an event somewhere on the weekend.Update: does not do fittings on bikes apparently so if youre looking for that go to the other bike shop
Been using this shop since I was a kid. They have the best service and can get you any kind of bike you want or need. It is a pleasure to deal with Jeff. My kids are our third generation to buy their bikes here. Best in town.
Absolutely a professional shop and owner. His love of bikes is obvious. This shop is a museum of bikes from decades ago til today. Very nice and a true bike rider extrordinare at the helm.👍
Jeff runs a very respectable shop with a wide selection of bikes. Really good service and Jeff will do all he can to help you find the right bike or any other bike accessory. Definitely a great place to buy a bike if you are looking for quality, not Walmart bikes.
The bike shop is great. The owner does a great job and I wouldnt go anywhere else!! Thanks for the excellent customer service and for taking the time to explain things!!
Horriable service. First time ever going there needed some simple work done ( A few things were loose that needed to be tightened. ) and he made me feel like I was an inconvenience and was wasting his time. His answers were short and rude. He did nothing but complain about my bike (which was brand new )and said so many things were wrong with it and started asking for money.I understand you need money to run a Business but you also need customers to make money. Good luck because you won’t ever get mine.
Went in over the weekend hoping to find a good used bike, that would be good to start commuting to work on. The store owner was very nice and helpful. However he did not have any used bikes and I must admit the new bikes he sells are very nice but currently way out of my price range. I got myself a cheap Huffy from WalMart (insert elitist flames here) its doing what I want, although I must admit Ive had to do some work on it right away to make it road worthy. In any case after a few months of being less of a slave to the gas pump, Ill be headed back to this shop to get myself a nice Fuji commuter hybrid.
Jeff is very knowledgeable and has great workmanship.
Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Best bike shop you can find.
Jeff, the owner, is one class act. He knows and loves everything about bikes. He has been incredibly helpful the few times Ive been in the store recently. As the previous poster stated, he will not look at you or speak to you in a way that makes you feel stupid, no matter how stupid your question is. The prices are very good as well, in line with what you might find on the web. But at The Bike Shop, you can touch it before you buy it and know for sure that it will work for you.
Great place to get you bike fixed and on the road again !!
I have bought several bikes here. Great prices expert workmanship!! And always a pleasure to do business with Jeff Coleman!!
On a cross country trip i stopped by to get my bike checked out, the owner worked me in his schedule, did outstanding work, better than reasonable prices, gave me a detailed receipt listing work done and explained to me all work accomplished. Very impressive experience.
Little pricey, overall experience was good
We walked in to get our sons mountain bike fixed and to look around for a future move to Europe. The owner was extremely knowledgeable regarding everything we where looking for. He must have spent an hour with us just discussing options. He was very patient with us, considering he had a weeks worth of repairs and tune-ups to work on. By the time we walked out he outfitted my wife and I with two cruisers exactly how we wanted them configured. Not to mention, our sons bike came out of the shop in better shape than it did out of the box. There are experts at their craft and this man is one of them. He has some cool classics in his museum as well.
Good
BEST BIKE SHOP IN TOWN! Jeff is friendly, knowledgeable and has good products available.
Awesome experience, beautiful shop, Jeff has no problem taking the time to explain things...a welcome breath of fresh air.....
This guy seems to run a one man show and can get frustrated easily with too many customers. His customer service is less than desirable, but if you can be patient he can give you a good deal. I went to this store with a list of parts I wanted on a bike. The parts I wanted seemed to match a specific make and model of Fuji bike he sells. He tried to sell me a bike that he had in stock and out of my price range, but sticking to my guns, I had to get him to order the bike that I wanted. Be direct and straight to the point with this guy and he can help you get what you want in a bicycle. If you go in and talk to this guy and you do not know that much about bike manufacturers and what they have to offer, you may walk out frustrated. Patience is the key to a successful endeavor when dealing with this store.
Great
