Amazing food and service! Our waitress was awesome!

The service is lacking at best. Ive been 3 times and have yet to be able to get beer off of tap. Waited on fries because the ones served with my sandwich clearly had been hanging out. Sandwich got cold waiting on fries. Food here is good but way to many other elements that arent for me to pay these prices anymore. Bar personnel actually walked out with what I assume is her boyfriend as another customer walked in and had to wait. I cant make this up.

This was the best dinner Ive experienced in a very long time!!! Everything was perfect!! The steak was amazing...melts in your mouth...hats off to the chef!! The crab cakes were crispy crunchy delicious. Well done well done.

I have not ate here, but my husband and I walked in and purchased steaks. The butcher was extremely nice and very helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the meat he was selling. Absolutely wonderful service. The steak was amazing. Highly recommend!

Called to make reservations, they girl answering the phone said “ we don’t take same day reservations after 3:00 and it’s 2:55 so I can’t take your reservation” I replied with you just said it’s 2:55 which is before, she replied ok how many? I simply said we eat somewhere else tonight thank you. Not what expected from The Cellar.

Nice place and staff. Problem I had was we were told to try this place for Wagyu steaks. So thats what we order waitress came back said they were out but had different something else quality. It was ok. Second the onion rings are frozen press mush and just not good at all. All in all it was ok but not a $50 a person meal.

Wish i could give them 10 stars. Absolutely one of the BEST restaurants in the area! The 16oz Ribeye was cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. Even my glass of Moscato was delicious! Please DO NOT go here if you have no experience in paying for fine dining. But i promise you, its worth every penny! Definitely my new spot when splurging for the month.

Conflicted... 5/5 on the bacon jalapeno poppers, literally the best Ive had... However the ribeye was the worst Ive had... 0/5. Insane gristle and half silver skin... Cooked perfect but the cut was so bad even Walmart would discard it... 40$ for a 1$ steak.... Philly cheese steak 0/5 it was not a cheese steak... Odd tasting ground up meat with inedible hard bits in it....Would come back and order jalapeno poppers over and over... Nothing else

We had a great anniversary dinner here tonight. I had the Ribeye with bacon wrapped asparagus and hand cut fried and my wife had the Crab cakes with the same sides. Everything was outstanding and the service was on point. Thanks for making our dinner celebration one we will remember and definitely will return to try more!

Had the Strip and some local craft brew. Excellent MR steak, and the Brussels Sprouts were really good. I have read negative reviews from some steak houses lately that aren’t good reviews. If you’re ordering a well done steak at a steak house, just go to the grocery and get some beef jerky and save the money.

The food is excellent. Quality steaks that practically melt in your mouth. I rarely finish a steak but the one I had here was so delicious I finished it all. Also try the brisket nachos, you will thank me later!

I dont really understand the bad reviews. Those must have been some off nights, I dont know, and Im not usually one to write reviews but I loved this place. The waitress was incredibly nice and accomodating, we went in the evening and the ambience was dimly lit and just very comfortable. I decided it was perfect for a date night and the steaks are VERY good, so I will be bringing the hubby back for a birthday dinner. Really nice beer and wine selection, delicious appetizers, and generous portions. Its a little expensive but you get what you pay for here, great for a special occasion. Nice little spot here in Dothan!

Poor atmosphere. Actually kinda dreary. Lighting was so bad we had to use phone flashlight just to read menus. Server neglected to mention $4.00 extra for signature salad with the two sides. The sauteed vegetables were burned so bad you couldnt tell what they were. $95.00 for the meal was way over priced.

The food was amazing! We came in close to closing but the staff didn’t rush us, was kind and helpful. We will definitely be back next time we come to town.

I’ve been here a few times, both as a customer and a live musician, and I love it! The food is to die for, my husband loves their steaks. They have a really creative bar menu too. The staff are always really friendly and inviting! Perfect for more upscale celebrations or dates.

Bacon wrapped jalapeños were very good. Filet and bacon wrapped asparagus were cooked perfectly. Filet was fork tender medium rare. Literally melted in my mouth.Wife had crab cakes and same sides. Cakes were golden brown and delicious. Close to if not the best I have had in quite some time

Dinner tonight at the cellar was disappointing. Both our steaks were brought to the table without any seasoning... bland... the menu calls for ”cellar dust” seasoning... when we told our waitress the cook had not seasoned our steaks, her response was, “...want me to bring you some out?”... we declined, figured for price of the meals $$$$ we could at least have our food prepared for us properly. Poor service + poor food prep = poor reviews ..

Ignore the bad reviews!! This place is AMAZING. Unlike some of the other higher-end restaurants in Dothan, the food is actually up to par with their prices. Everything I’ve had is delicious, the best French fries in Dothan, and the steaks are just perfect. Great service, too!

Steak was good but not real waygu, save money order regular ribeye

Limited everything..menu options, selection of wines by the glass, 2 draft beers. $10 corking fee for buying a bottle of wine..who does that? This is not a Cruise ship not cool!

Want a fine bourbon selection to go with nice cut of beef? This is your place. Also, bring money.

Visited on a Monday night after a ten in a half hour day around 6:30pm. Parking lot looked full but had plenty of setting inside. Waited around 4 minutes to be seated. Order a blue moon and a water to start with. After receiving drinks. I ordered a burger and it was there in no time. Burger was good. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in part of town. Would definitely be a good date night spot. #bringthebirds

Disappointed this evening the steak had no seasoning and my husband’s wedge salad was served with the core still in.

Got takeout this past weekend. Meal was almost perfect but the filet was undercooked to the point that my wife only ate about half of it. That said, the burger and fries were great, side salad portion was huge, twice baked potato was excellent. Both apps we had, coconut shrimp and Cellar Bites, were great as were the bread pudding and pot de creme. The filet issue would not keep us from going again but well definitely make sure we tell them to make sure and cook it a little over if anything.Second visit: 11/09/20Was not impressed with the burnt end sandwich. It was supposed to be served like a grilled cheese but instead it was obvious that they just melted the cheese on white bread which just made it soggy instead of golden brown. It wasnt grilled at all. I also asked for the fries a little well done and they were floppy and undercooked. It will probably be a while before we visit the cellar again.

I do not frequently feel the need to write a negative review (due to an overwhelming desire to be loved by all), but with a combined 8 years in food service and 12 years in customer service, I have never been more appalled with the way that a restaurant was run. Upon entering, we were given no time to look at the menu and haughtily asked what types of drinks we wanted. After that, getting the waitress to pay any attention to us was equivalent to Joe Exotic trying to get Carole Baskin. These people did NOT want to help us. Then came our food: the crab (if you can call it that) did not resemble crab and the steak (which was ordered medium rare) was raw. Im not talking rare. I mean RAW. The entire wait staff was rude and did not seem to care much about any customer, let alone keeping customers coming to their restaurant. As someone who has now had several bad experiences with this restaurant and their service (or lack thereof), I will never return to this establishment, and truthfully, I would encourage you not to either.

Very impressed! We will return the next time we are in town!

Contrary to the burger below the line review previously posted I literally just had the best burger I’ve ever consumed, cooked perfectly!! Additionally the decorations in the cellar inspired my decor in my own home!! Love ya Cellars ;)

Great food!!

The atmosphere there is great for meetings or just do dine with your significant other. I got the meat loaf sliders and my wife got the fish tacos! Both were outstanding! Large assortment of wines and beer. Im sure anything you get there will be great...their chef is absolutely amazing....first class!! Highly recommend this place.

They were sold out of a certain dish I wanted and Dwight and Lexi helped make me an off menu dish that was awesome. Id been traveling all day and appreciate their help. Great food and awesome people.

This is my first visit at night, but Im not impressed with the service. It took several minutes to simply get a sweet tea/water and menus. We had to ask about our apps and the food took even longer. Food is decent. A friend has said the steaks are great though.

This place is a Jewell! When you want to impress your guests, take them here. It will be a dining experience to remember.

Went here for the first time last weekend; the food was good and reasonably priced for what I got. I always just thought it was a butcher shop until a friend told me it was a restaurant as well. Would recommend.

Valentines Day dinner was great. Had the Kobe steak 🥩 The Ale beer was great off the tap to go with the steak.

Simple steaks and sides that are well prepared.Great appetizers and sandwiches.Desserts are rich and filling.Full services market with butcher and wine/beer selections.Due to wide selection of beers, servers may not be up on what is in stock.Atmosphere is unique, market in front, bar behind that, restaurant sells $30 steaks but atmosphere doesnt really reflect. Not exactly date night ambiance.Restrooms look like an afterthought. Both times Ive gone, they have been in disrepair and dirty.Dont go for the $30 steaks, there are better out there, but go for the appetizers and brisket sandwich. Its a pleasant change from Texas Roadhouse and Logans.

Our server was outstanding. The hamburgers and steak was outstanding as well. The young lady at front was worried about her phone. But this day in age. Their ceasar salad was iceberg lettuce, didnt like that but they doubled my asparagus. We know its all a new staff, so hopefully it will get better. Great place to get wine and steaks, though.

I order the Parmesan chicken and the marinara sauce was grossed, honestly tasted like it was from the day before! You guys should take a look at it not great!

The food is amazing. The welcoming lady wasnt so welcoming, but the lady that take our order and brought our food was so kind and friendly, she knows about really good customer service.

My wife and I went in for lunch today. That was probably the best French dip sandwich I have ever had. The house chips were excellent as well. We will definitely be going back very soon.

This place has turned around completely, used to frequent the place, then poor management turned me off. Now its one of the best locations in Dothan. Staff is so friendly and owners are the best. Hardworking men and women. Id give it 10/10 if that was an option.

Well I was on a business trip and the team wanted to stop for lunch. Matt was so excited to show us a place called the Cellar! So as you can tell by my 5 star rating, Its quite Literally the best place I HAVE EVER eaten lunch at. I will definitely be flying out of state more often just to eat here. On an ending thought - what Disney land is to my wife is what the Cellar is to me. A+ guys! Keep up the great work!

Excellent food

TLDR:The worst Service Ive ever receivedThe food was great once we got it, that being said after I as well as my guests ordered they Never brought out any salad, nor did they Bring my Burger. I spoke to the manager/owner about my Burger not coming so she asked me how I wanted it so she could get someone to make it real quick, And when I say this, I EMPHASIDE no mayonnaise, Im allergic, they continue to bring a burger out with everything, so I tell her I need another, at this point the woman had begun being passive aggressive, witch I was fine with, I just wanted my food, so they Bring out another, this one was perfect I honestly really enjoyed the Burge once I got it, what I didnt enjoy was the snappy remarks the manager/owner kept giving us. That was only my experience, everyone else had a hell of a worse experience, you would think since our ticket was over $500 they would have given us better service, but the only thing they were focusing on was the $100 tip that was pre determined before we ate, therefore they almost completely disregarded us, Im not even going to get into my guests experience, but once we go pay, we complain that the service was horrible, with good reason, and the owner/manager continued to make rude and utterly what should have been ashamed comments, especially for someone who is paying well enough money for us to be able to peacefully eat without being harassed, this was my worst experience ever at any restaurant.

The chef slad and the clucker are my favorites. The service is always top notch and the food is incredible!

I highly recommend the Cellar and staff for any special event catering needs you may have. Our business just held our grand opening and Amanda Driver at the Cellar was the absolute easiest vender I dealt with. She really took the worry of catering off my plate and pulled it off with elegance and class. The food was GREAT and Amanda and Ree came in and set everything up for us!!! I couldnt have ask for a better experience!

Did not stay long. Walked in and the hostess was rude. Used the restroom and it was a disaster and you stuck to the floor. Was crowded but had Awkward silence inside and did not remind me of a cellar. Ended up just leaving. Meats and wine in the front shop looked nice but will not be back to dine. So much for a first impression.

Best lunch in Dothan. Delicious brisket sandwich and potato salad. Also, great meat for sale in the butcher area up front. Highly recommend stopping for lunch if driving through to the beach.

Do not recommend. We went on Burger Tuesday... they asked what temperature I wanted my burger. I said 160 degrees... it came out raw.1. I did not bite out of it.2. They did NOT recook it on the grill.3. They did NOT cook a new burger.4. They MICROWAVED the burger!!!!Come guys!! I know two of owners and I cannot believe they encourage the use of a microwave.The decor is like a jail cell. The walls are emply. The lighting is half flourescent which most do not work and the other lights are HARSH and looks like an interrogation room.The celler is another example of a local place that just hires ppl and they DO NOT have a onboarding process to train anyone.I cannot see going back sorry guys.

Where do I start...when we came in, on a Saturday night, there was not a single person in there. We checked menu online before coming. they had a bistro dinner menu and regular dinner menu. the bistro dinner menu has some nice gourmet things on it. The regular menu was FAR less impressive. When seated we were given the regular menu. I asked about the Bistro menu and the server said we have new management we dont do that anymore. I ordered fried mushrooms. and a Cesar salad. When the salad came out it had iceberg lettuce instead of Romine lettuce. Next was the mushrooms. They came out VERY overcooked. so much that they were hard beacuse the were burnt. For the main course, I ordered the short rib sliders. It was also disappointing to say the least. What came out was a cube of tasteless pot roast on a plain slider bun.

Enjoyed lunch at The Cellar today. Food was outstanding, service was even better! Look forward to a return trip for dinner.

Thought the steaks were a little expensive, but I was wrong. We let them season the steaks for us and it was the best steak I have ever had. I will definitely be back soon.

I am so stuffed after this meal.This was my first time eating at the Cellar and didnt really know what to expect. Pretty much the only place in Dothan to get a steak was the couple steakhouse chains.Not anymore, this is my new home for steak!! Not only did Mikayla provide great service, but the atmosphere is only comparable to fine dining restaurants in bigger cities, quite and upscale. The food, oh my God let me tell you, Im full because there wasnt a single bite left. I had the filet mignon with baked potato and asparagus, and it all was by far the best tasting food in the City! I even finished my wifes potato for her.If your wanting a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, with great service and amazing food, come here. Its completely worth the price. Great job Cellar!!

I come here from Greenville SC for work a lot and thus is one of my favorite lunch spots, the fish tacos were awesome today.

The cashier was friendly. It was my first time going into the cellar, they had a different wine some were cheaper than walmart, target, and other grocery stores. They even have Alabama made wine.

Awesome steaks and pork chops. Better than anything that ANY restaurant in town can put on a plate. Money WELL spent.

Good butcher shop but poor restaurant. My wife and I went on a Friday night and both ordered the cellar burger. It was extremely over cooked and lacked flavor. Not at all what I would have expected. We both ordered fries to go with it and they came out cold. Big let down considering the potential.

Every third Friday and Saturday night The Cellar has a special menu and reservations are recommended (but they do take walk-ins if space is available). While during the week the dining is quite casual this weekend is quite the exception. It is much nicer with linen tablecloths, dimmer lighting, and nostalgic background music setting a more intimate mood. Truth be told I want to get up and dance every time we go. :)The chef comes out and checks on each table to see how they are enjoying the food. It really is a nice change of pace and setting for Dothan, AL and the food is FANTASTIC! I cannot get away from the Ahi Tuna. My husband loves the filet. Such great service, great environment, and great food. We look forward to this date night every third weekend of the month.The price point is a bit expensive but worth every penny when considering the whole dining as not just a meal but an true experience.
