Excellent moving crew; the one star rating is due to the owner sending a smaller crew than we were charged for plus charging an extra $150 over the quoted price after the work was done.We needed a heavy (~760 lbs) safe plus appliances moved, so I called The Moving Truck with the safe weight and a rough inventory of our items. We agreed on a price of $150/hour for a four-man crew with a minimum charge of four hours time, for a total of $600.What the owner sent was a three-man crew, so we ended up having to help with the move ourselves. Once the work was completed (well within four hours, again a credit to the crew members who performed the work), the owner charged an extra $150 for the safe that he had not mentioned during our initial setup call. We had spent a great deal of time talking about the safe during the initial call due to its weight, giving him ample opportunity to mention this charge before the move.For anyone reading this, please learn from our mistakes when working with The Moving Truck. Be very clear on all charges and their costs before agreeing to work with them. To be safe, request a written estimate with all these charges before starting the work. Moving is hectic enough without feeling that you are being taken advantage of during the process.

Had scheduled a move with this company and their workers refused to show up for the day so my move was canceled for the day. However, I was informed they still had a time slot a couple days afterwords. Was no called no showed on the make up day. As a single mother in the Army I cannot afford to have companies who do not follow through. Be careful using this company and do not place your faith in their reliability.

The owner cannot drive the truck he owns. Not sure how he has not wrecked by now. Completely blew a stop sign and almost plowed into me in a residential neighborhood! I called the number to report him and he says he is the one driving the truck! No apology or anything! He just denies that he ran the stop sign. Very unprofessional!

I scheduled an appointment for this company to move my furniture out of my apartment. He gave me one hourly rate over the phone. The day of my move came, and the crew showed up an hour late. They came in and moved everything just a little over an hour. The price he gave me was three times the amount the owner talked to me about over the phone. The owner told me $125 an hour the day I scheduled. The crew told me $150 per hour the day of and charged me for three hours when they only worked barely one AND they were late. One of the guys made an excuse of “oh he forgets to tell people the right price”….bad business.

If I could give the owner of this company a negative five stars I would. They were scheduled to be at my house at 9:00 so my wife called to see if they were coming. The owner would not take her call and finally when he did answer her call he yelled they are in their way and hung up on her. They finally showed up at 11:30. The gentlemen that unloaded were absolutely fantastic!!! They were very courteous and made sure to be careful unloading. They all had a great attitude and were very professional. I would recommend them but I would not recommend the owner for any service.

I called that morning asking for rates and you angry and said “I’m gonna charge $125 do you want it done or not! I got better stuff to do if you’re not gonna get it done” and after that I told you I didn’t need you to do it anymore. But ASAP MOVERS in Dothan were awesome! Very polite, kind, professional and hardworking! I recommend them to anyone over The Moving Truck any day!

My husband got a new job and we needed to move quickly. I was really worried that hiring a moving company would cost a fortune. After calling around with no success, I called The Moving Truck. I was able to set up an appointment with three movers for the next morning. They arrived on time and were all professional and courteous. They moved me from one home to the other in under three hours for a very reasonable price. I will absolutely use this service again if I need it. I highly recommend them to anyone in the area looking to move.

I ask for a price to move a large upright freezer and a 55” flat screen TV and was quoted one price over the phone by Evan then after the two other guys get there and move my two items they charged me more than double what I was quoted. After calling Evan he did lower what they charged but it was still $100 more than he quoted. Then after they left I found my TV screen was cracked and after speaking with Evan about it he refused to do anything about it. Not trustworthy!

I cant rate Evan and his crew high enough!! Our closing date got moved around a few times and he was VERY understanding and worked with us. They arrived on time and had our house loaded and unloaded with no issues. They were very careful with all of our belongings and did not scrape any doorways or walls. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move! Thank you for making our move easy!!

The moving truck was awesome. I had them move a very large hot tube and they moved it quickly and safely. Thanks again well worth the price.

Was referred to Evan (the moving truck) by a friend and gave him a call and he gave us a price to load and unload our 10x20 storage unit to our new home. Once the job was done he charged us almost double saying it took more time than he thought. Well Evan.. you shouldn’t have gave a price to us if you weren’t going to stick to your word. That’s bad for business and I will never recommend him to anyone. He has not tried to fix this with us
