Rear bumper repair color match is does not match. bumper does not match the vehicle. chipped rear tail light. they are supposed to blend the paint on the new bumper with the paint of the vehicle to match.

So far, it has truly been an easy and welcoming experience. The Receptionist whose names escapes me for the moment said she had worked at the Douglasville location for about 3 years. She exudes a courteous, friendly and professional self confidence. First of all, she made me feel that she knew exactly what to do and directed me precisely on what I needed to do. My Rep, Thomas made me feel as if we had been knowing each other for years. He didnt burden me with a lot of unnecessary info and he too was very courteous and professional. I havent gotten my car back but so far I am truly impressed with Gerber Paint and Body Shop.

I have had the BEST experience with this Gerber Collision location! Ashley was SUPER nice, helpful and kept me informed of all steps that were being taken with my vehicle. One of the best front desk people I have ever encountered! After getting a quote, I was able to schedule my repair the next morning, and my car was completed the next day! Brandon was amazing and very thorough from the start to finish. He called to also let me know the status of my vehicle, which was much appreciated. My car repair looks flawless, and got a wash and inside cleanup too, which was a very nice touch!I can’t say enough how much of a wonderful experience I’ve had with this location! I would definitely come back should I ever have a need, and I would recommend to anyone needing a repair without hesitation. When you are a little sad that your interaction with a company is ending because of the high rate of service? That says A LOT. Thank you! A+ Service all around.

After I got into an accident, it only took them a week to finish my car. Friday to Saturday and with the holiday in the middle of the week, I was so impressed. Cynthia the receptionist is very understanding and thoughtful. Leo the general manager is very personable. After my car was finished, I wanted to do a test drive, and Leo came with me. I am very satisfied and highly impressed. They took care of everything from day one, to the rental to understanding my urgency to complete my car in a timely manner. Please use this company.

Our vehicle was damaged in a fender-bender, the other drivers insurance covered the repairs. After hearing horror stories about dealing with repairs after a collision, I was dreading this. Imagine my surprise to have everything go completely smoothly.The insurance agent on site worked up the quote, we set up the repair appointment and a rental reservation. When I dropped off the vehicle, the repair shop did a once-over with me to note existing unrelated scratches, and the areas to be repaired. The guy was kind and humorous, which helped make a stressful situation less tense.The repairs ended up taking longer than initially estimated, due to finding damage that wasnt visible at the outset, and parts delays. Thats completely understandable, and beyond their control. They kept us updated frequently, and clearly explained what was going on.I picked up the vehicle, and it looked like the collision never happened. I am completely satisfied with the work, and the level of service we received. I was even able to return the rental vehicle right there at the front desk instead of having to drive it back to the rental office. I would most definitely recommend this shop.

My car was damaged in an accident and I was referred here by the insureds insurance company. Got an estimate and was told I would be contacted when it was time to bring my vehicle in. After almost 3 weeks and hearing nothing from the Gerber or the insurance company, I called for an update as to what was going on. I was told that I could bring my car in any day now as they had already been paid in full by the insurance company. So I scheduled to take my car in on Monday night for it to be checked in on Tuesday morning. I was called Wednesday morning and told due to a shortage of parts as a result if the GM strike, I would need to pick up my car and just wait until parts came in. No problem with that, not anyones fault, however, when I go to pick up my car and get out of it at work, I notice all of the emblems and lettering had been stripped off of the back. So not only do I have still have the dent from the accident but now I have ugly sticky messes where the make and model letters/symbol have been snatched off. I called to see if they could at least put them back on and they say they can only go on the new part that of course they dont know when will come. I just dont understand why they would start to disassemble parts from my vehicle before getting the new parts in. Now, not only am I still riding around with the dent, that I had come to terms with, but now I am also riding around with a vehicle that essentially looks like a kid came and snatched all of the lettering off. Only 2 common sense questions need to be answered...why start disassembling a vehicle without new parts on hand and why not start ordering parts as soon as you received payment in full from the insurance company? That way you would have known the parts needed were unavailable before I paid deposit on a rental and before you started to remove other parts of the vehicle.The icing on the cake....I will be paying another deposit on another rental once the part comes in. Im definitely not one to write reviews but felt it was necessary that Gerber is aware of the situation that I believe could have been handled much better. Thank you for listening.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with how my friend has had to wait for 2 days and no phone call updates, she has had to call only to hear them say your car should be ready this afternoon, for 2 days its supposedly been ready. The front desk girl was extremely rude and just kept repeating herself saying the car will be ready and the time of 430. This being told to my friend after she was also told they would call her at noon, no calls no updates no car to get things she has to do and feels they should at least contact her with any sort of update so she doesnt feel inconvenienced to others to keep taking her up there and waste her time or gas. Not sure why this place feels they can just do what they want and think they have better things to do. (Its the way she feels for thats how their actions are being taken) The only reason she is using this place is cause her insurance company for she sure would have picked her car up and taken elsewhere for she has wasted 2 days waiting on a call or anything and even believes its probably not even been looked at since they have yet to contact any updates to a customer that needs to be taken care of. Even if it needs to take a week at least give update stating so, that way other plans can be made accordingly. But I know this place doesnt cares of others time or life for it shows.Just reading over the other reviews and see this seems to be a problimatic to your business and after months of bad reviews or slightly different criticism, I suppose you dont feel like this needs to be addressed or go to a customer service class and feel secure about your title and job or company you work at. Those things can and should change or you wont make it in the business. Folks go by word of mouth and car places are a dime a dozen everywhere. Id rather travel hour before having to leave my car here, sad part is that a call takes 1min to make to someone. Yet losing a customer is for life.

They performed the repair of my vehicle in a timely manner. They completed the repair exactly on the date estimated. Customer service was good.HOWEVER, some rogue in their ranks stole a Bluetooth device that was plugged into the 12-volt outlet in my car.Always empty your car before turning it over them.

Horrible service I went In for an estimate and the teller was telling me everything she could to not do an estimate. Kinda sounds crazy beings thats how you start out with new costumers. The place has been there since I was a child is why I went so I figured they would be good. This has nothing to do with this place but wrens body shop is rite around the corner and they jumped rite up to attention with kindness and had me in and out in minutes.

I took my car in for a minor repair to the hood after several days went by I went to pick it up and it looked just as it did when I brought it in. After much discussion they brought the car back better but the hood was still not flush with the fender but I was assured the car was safe to drive .Well while driving on the expressway the hood flew off only to be held by the driver’s side hinge, the side they worked on, the side they assured me was fixed is the one that failed.I contacted the General Manager and sent him photos of the damage and the bolt they installed.His response was to tell me the service supervisor (no longer employed there) who handled my car left a note in their file saying he told me I needed another hood. I never received that statement verbally or written. Needless to say they did not stand behind their work .I would not recommend this shop to anyone .

I took my Chevrolet Camaro and my Silverado and they didn’t fix it good on the camaro they left the door, back trunk and drivers mirror bad. On the Silverado they didn’t fix where it was damaged because the truck hits the fender. I don’t recommend this place

I absolutely love this location!!! I was in an accident involving a projectile object on Highway 20 that did significant damage and after contacting insurance, this location was one of several locations given as a choice. I always follow my heart and this is where it took me. Without a doubt one of the best things that came out of it all was meeting the ones I met (Ashley- Front Desk and Maurita - One who estimated as well took care of everything start to finish) as well being given one of the best experiences overall by a company! After squaring everything with insurance, I contacted and then took the car up to Gerber to where I met Ashley who was extremely friendly, professional, informative, she took care of all paper work, was a guide through the car rental and she placed me in the hands of Maurita! Maurita was in just the same, extremely friendly, professional, informative, very knowledgeable on vehicles, she took me with her to inspect the visible car damage, gave full detail on who what when where, she then worked with Ashley to assure my full understanding, answered all questions, lined me up with their system to be in full contact daily, then as well to assure my being picked up as I had to leave the car there for further inspection to where she followed through just as she stated as the car had to be taken apart for further inspection. My insurance did offer Hertz as well Enterprise as a car rental service, if your insurance is State Farm (or others) who gives you a choice between these two for a pick up and rental etc. please just pay a little more for Enterprise to pick you up at Gerber and rent a car from them over Hertz. Just coming from personal experience. Be advised as well that Gerber helps you in the process if you need it but they in no way are responsible for a customer getting a car rental lined up, customer getting picked up, dropped off or getting the car back. No matter where you go to get your car repaired should the worst happen, your insurance company will instruct that you are responsible for the rental process should you choose to do so. This being said, I lined up with Hertz off of Thornton Rd. Lithia Springs and they were horrible! Again this has nothing to do with Gerber, State Farm I wish would dismiss this Hertz but please just use Enterprise as I watched them pick up customers quick and squared them away fair as I waited 2 hours at Gerber to be picked up by Hertz and pay more because they didnt have a standard car I requested. But the associates at Gerber were so kind, attentive, helpful and the list goes on during the wait at no fault of their own with me in my having to deal with Hertz. Moving forward! Gerber fixed a my car that wasnt far from being totaled in record time and their work AMAZING!!! Every single day I was notified of the cars progress from start to finish and they not only had body work to complete but as well an entire new power steering system and all of this completed exactly on the day it was projected to be completed! I can say that Gerber is on of the best places I have ever been to start to finish and if ever something was to happen again I absolutely wouldnt go to anyone but them! This being my first boo boo, they took me in, explained everything, gave me understanding, a feeling that everything was going to be just fine as it ended up being, they walked me through everything I needed to do, gave daily updates, completely informative on everything, they handled insurance from the moment I walked in to the time I left, the list for real goes on and on! I have never experienced such good care, blessed to meet such wonderful people (especially Ashley and Maurita who I couldnt thank enough) and able to witness such amazing work/detail and it done in a week! Im a believer in God and I can say that he protected me not only when the accident happened but he saw me through the entire process, lead me to a wonderful place where his angels work and I couldnt be more thankful! Absolutely horrible, horrible service. We went to them because we thought things would be done right, because there was an Allstate agent on site. We were rear ended and our job was estimated to be a 17 hour (2 day) job. Gerber said 4-5 days. Lots of us calling them, tracking THEM down, many broken promises and 4 WEEKS later, our van was ready. We got the van and realized that the labeling on our van was completely messed up. Out of ALL of the checks, inspections etc, they completely missed one of the most obvious repairs. It would have damaged our value of our car and lowered the value tremendously. I called corporate after calling this location (and no answer). We left a message for the manager and corporate sent them an email. IMHO after all of the missteps and mishaps, the manager should have called us. Actually, NO ONE called us. We, once again, had to track them down and call them. We got the assistant, Ashley, to the manager. Never heard from the manager. Horrible customer service & lame excuses. We almost always use Peach State, and we will go back to PS again......we will never EVER use Gerber again. Ive warned my hundreds of friends throughout social media and now I am warning you all............

I cant even begin to tell you how horrible. So so so frustrated, as I sit in my car that is still not repaired after the 4th, yes 4TH! time I took it in there. They act like they have it together but I dont think they have any idea what they are actually doing. AT ALL! A bunch of incompetent people, I cant even say mechanics because I dont think they know the first thing about cars. Truly awful!!! I keep going back only because my insurance says I cant go anywhere else to fix the damage and another shop wont touch their work. Talk about a rock and a hard place. Im just so aggravated by the lack of knowledge and the complete incompetence.

I cannot thank the folks at Gerber Douglasville enough for making what I thought was going to be a scary and stressful situation (1st car accident), feel well taken care of and thoroughly resolved. Id had my new car less than a year and was t-boned on the passenger side. Thankfully no one was seriously injured....but my brand new car was smashed!! Communication was above and beyond during the repairs. Not only with text but actual phone calls....that never happens anymore! It made me feel assured and confident through the whole experience that my car was in good hands!!!! Even though my poor new car required surgery, shes looking brand new. Horrible customer service. Rodney is horrible. We went to get a quote for the damage on my car. Its been at least two months and we have NOT received the quote from him. We called him at least 10 times and send few emails. He is either not in the office or he will tell you he will send you the info soon and nothing but cricket. I took my car next day to another shop on Douglas blvd and got quote the same day.
