This is one of the most honest shops I have ever dealt with. I took a chance and bought an old vehicle from an auction (2001 vehicle) was experiencing some transmission problems. He looked at it and instead of trying to charge me astronomical amounts he told me that he could fix the transmission problem for 1400 dollars but that he had found numerous other problems that would need to be addressed and actually advised me that the cost to fix the truck far exceeded its worth..I thank Brandon for his honesty in the matter grea job I highly recommend Ammco for your Automotive needs they actually have integrity.Thanks, Bernard Musgrove

The brand new breaks the team installed I paid the price of $450 to get installed and cleaned were screeching they said no big deal its just a pebble stuck in there. Anyone with screeching breaks feel unsafe while driving their family,when they drive and since they refuse to fix it,They lost my trust Id rather learn to do my own breaks.
On the 23rd of March 201 my 2013 Passat TDI broke down and I had my car towed to the dealer (Winner VW) they told me I needed a new transmission. I was shocked and wanted a second opinion so I had my car towed to AMMCO whom my normal Mechanic highly recommended. I am glad I did because AMMCO saved me a lot of money because they found out it was just the double clutch. They were very friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I will recommend them to anyone who needs a great Mechanic or Transmission work.
I just needed a diagnostic done on my Jeep and Brandon was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable. I decided against getting mine done however I would recommend them!
I just went for a transmission diagnosis,BUT where they could of gotten $115 out of me, they only wanted $40. Granted a busted radiator and new transmission was $5500. I’m definitely going with my other vehicle.
I recently had my Jeep Patriot scheduled for an oil change at the Dover Firestone, which my family has been using for over 10 years. The technician claimed my power steering had a leak. Firestone wanted $60 for the diagnostic. After completing their inspection, they claimed I needed a new power steering pressure hose, that it was failing and leaking, quote and cost for repair $331. Lucky for me the part had to be ordered and I took my Jeep home for the night. Just for the heck of it, I dropped it off at my friendly AACMO repair shop, for them to take a look at it. Thank goodness I did! Brandon and the professionals at AACMO determine there was no power steering leak, but the engine oil filler cap was cracked and leaking oil onto and around the power steering line. Well, $19 later AAMCO of Dover will be my new regular automotive repair shop! Kuddos to Brandon and his entire Dover AAMCO team! If I had to guess, professional, reliable, honest, and affordable automotive care is their philosophy! Thank you Dover AAMCO!

My car was looked over, and I received a call before performing any work to it. He could have easily said I needed the work done to my car, but instead gave me his best recommendation for me. This business is respectable and professional, I will definitely be returning for all my transmission needs.
Brandon and the rest of the staff are awesome! They dont ever tell you that you need to do something if it isnt necessary. I took my Pilot to the dealership for a recall and they suggested an additional $1500 worth of work I needed done. I brought the invoice to Brandon and while they were things that would need to be done none of them were needed at that time.
Do not go here. The manager Brandon was rude and talked down to me. He treated me terrible, and he tried to lie to me because I am a women. Terrible experience. I dont know how he is allowed to work there.
I took my vehicle in for transmission issues. Initially I made the appointment to have the transmission flushed with a new filter / pan. When I arrived I expressed my concern about the transmission shuddering at low speeds first gear. I was told it would be checked out thoroughly. My vehicle was returned nothing mentioned about my shuddering concern but quickly collected 250 dollars for the filter flush. Truck still shuddering. Sitting in Toyota service as I type this review. Dealer maybe higher in price but its the way to go. I would not recommend this specific AAmaco to anyone.

Took our sons 2015 Jeep Cherokee with 57,000 miles on it in thinking we maybe had pulley bearing going bad. Turned out it was a failed rocker arm that also took out the crank shaft. Brandon called our Jeep dealer and then called us to tell us to take it to them since it should be warranty. We had a few days left on the 5 year 60,000 mile warranty. Cant thank these guys enough for being fast, honest, and good at their jobs. Not so happy with the Jeep Cherokee....

I took my vehicle in for a transmission code that was intermittent and at first they could not find the issue because the fault cleared. I was not charged for the troubleshooting and customer service was great. The code eventually came back and failed hard. The manager Brandon worked with me and explained options to fix the vehicle. He was very professional and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this facility and would return.

Went in for oil change, these guys are awesome! Shop manager Brandon is great to work with and extremely knowledgeable. Shop was very busy, a good sign I thought. His technician found a few things that needed attention, and he showed them to me. A belt had serious tears in them, and I was missing an air filter. Who knew! In and out for an equally amazing price and feel better about driving my car. GO HERE!!

A few years, I had my transmission replaced and bought a lifetime warranty because my make and model had known transmission issues. I would bring it in yearly for the required check noting the transmission noise and issues with switching gears from the first 6 months after the replacement. They would not change it because they didnt experience problems after a short test ride. The transmission had to completely stop for them to finally replace it. The day I got my car back, i drove it home hearing a noise coming from the wheels about 10 mins down the road. I pulled into my local mechanic. They told me that my nuts were never screwed back on completely. Thank goodness I stopped because it couldve been a dangerous accident. I called the shop multiple times, no one picked up (pretty typical), finally got them the next day and explained what happened. They said theyll have the manager call me back. Never received a call and I never went back. I wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone. Take the drive to New Castle or south for one of the other locations. Ive gotten better service from the other locations.
I went there looking for an extension wait time I was served less than a 10-minute waiting time and everything they had to do for my car was doing it a accurate within an hour. With all three hour gap with no problem so I enjoyed my stay there at all Aamco

I always take my Jeep to Aamco as the guys in the shop are true professionals and very dedicated to meeting the needs of their customers . Brandon Diaz is very accommodating when I need to bring my Jeep in rather it be for something as simple as an oil change, tire rotation or something more involved like replacing brake lines or working on a transmission. I even have them do an inspection on the suspension from time to time. Check them out as they are awesome !!!!

I hate when my car breaks down or has a problem that needs attention but I have absolutely zero problem taking my car to Aamco because I know that after being serviced there that its going to run brand new once Brandon and his mechanics look at it. Brandon works very hard to make the not so pleasant experience of your car breaking down or needing attention the best experience that it can be. He is very people friendly and I know when my car has to go in, that its in good hands!!

F-350 Caught fire while driving through Delaware while towing a fifth wheel camper. A crew of 4 of them stayed 3 hours after closing on a Friday to help me out. Very Impressed with their customer service and expertise would highly recommend to anyone!
Highly recommend this shop! As a woman, it can be intimidating to find a reputable place to get an oil change without them trying to sell you extra services all the time. I have been coming here for a couple years now and when it came time for a repair they took me out to the shop and showed me exactly what the problem was. Brandon gave me an estimate and when the work was finished the cost was actually lower than the original estimate! I was so relieved. Now whenever I have an issue I just pop in and they take a look and I never have to worry about them trying to sell me something I dont need. So Today when I went to look up their number to schedule my oil change I saw some of these negative reviews and I felt I needed to put in my two cents, because I have had nothing but EXCELLENT customer service and mechanical work done, my vehicle is a 2001 and they are honest, if I need a repair they tell me and they also tell me if it can wait. They tell me if I should be saving back for brakes or tires so its not a surprise. They are 100% a full service car shop. I highly recommend them to anyone!
I have had issues getting in to my usual shop for oil changes, they were always booked at the times that worked best for me. I decided to give AAMCO a try and they fit me in without notice. Brandon and the team at North Dover were so informative even discussing the benefits and downfalls of each oil choice. I’ll absolutly be coming to AAMCO for all my automotive needs from now on.

So don’t expect any national help in realistic problems from faulty repairs or damaging repair practices. Request written repairs and ask for owners name phone number and address if you end up needing to file court papers due to damaged property or unscrupulous management promises misinformation and suspicious fraudulent misleading statements and contact your local state department of justice department of consumer protection when you believe you have been left in a compromised position in having your vehicle return when you suspect fraud at this location! Warning protection is available to you and your loved one be aware of rights when you suspect fraud! Crimes thefts and little to no security often lead to dangerous situations be aware thefts of property from vehicles have not been resolved damage to vehicles aren’t addressed properly enter into leaving your car truck is at your own risk .
Went there for a transmission problem that should have been fixed within 2 weeks because I have a warranty on the car. So payments have to be cleared. But they have had my car for a month at this point. They keep changing when they are gonna have my car ready ! Im sick of it at this point. They left a bad first impression on me. Bad customer service. Ill never take my car here again. And I will never recommend this place.

One star for putting things back together. Shaking my head everytime I hear this company. This particular location ruined it for me. Although, this is a franchise and your experience will depend on the business owner, other location may be more honest. I dealt with the manager throughout this venture and though I can honestly say hes personable, Im sad to say that is only the initial interaction. I came here because they were recommended by a shop I went to for other issues. They recommended them because they dont repair or rebuild transmissions which at that moment in time became the major issue of the vehicle. I explained to the manager that this vehicle has been in storage for nearly 4 years due to the fact that I was serving a military tour all those years. The storage company chosen by the military did not take care of my car exactly the way that I would during those years. Obviously, I expected issues when I got the vehicle. First complaint! The guy took nearly a week his so-called right parts for the vehicle. I had to call AAMCO customer service to gain momentum with my repair. So yes, I got on his bad side by doing this. What do you expect. Im a customer and have not been driving for nearly two months due the issues. This is my only means of transportation, not to mention that Ive only been in the area for a month. Yes, I said two months. The month prior was spent with family after serving tours overseas and not seeing them for a long time. The additional month is relocating to Dover. My math is right. Second! We spoke over the phone once the momentum started. We both had computer access at the time and I sent him the link of the CLUTCH I wanted installed. He said a lot of BS crook gibberish like we dont install aftermarket parts, theres no mark up and I cant do that etc. You know the type. His price was $1700 for the clutch mine was just about $800 with the flywheel. Markup indeed. They were the same company and same type, Stage 4. I sent him the exact link of the source website. He said nah, man, thats not the same. My recommendation is made of a different material that is more durable and better than your discovery. This is on the phone. So I smirked because I know its BS but he cant tell. Red Flag. But since Im at a point where I feel like I just need to get my car fix and since cash is not a problem, Ill go ahead and entertain this cheater. I said yes, Ill do it. He said I had to physically go to the location and place a deposit. Red Flag no 2. They want to lure you in so actions which may prove as evidence later on is done out of your own volition. They can wash their hand and claim innocence because its the customers actions. One honest thing he did was to state his disclaimer which is we cannot cancel the order once its made. He went on about not wanting to eat up the cost of re-stocking fee. I read the fine print of the copy he gave me after making a deposit. There is no disclaimer that will tie the customer or consignee that this is a legally binding document. Not in fine print at least. It just states that customer went to the location and physically made a deposit. In their mind its legitimate. Its not. Stay tuned for more.
Great shop fair prices. Had a repair for multiple misfire they repaired it. 2 months later same problem, they repaired it free of charge no hassels no shady business. I highly recommend them!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I went to Amco to diagnose a particular noise that occurred at a particular rpm range and I was told that my transmission pump was going bad and that the cost would not be figured out until they got into the transmission but would at least cost $1500 minimum . After getting a second opinion from a honest transmission shop owner I looked further into The issue and found that it was not the transmission at all but an air filter that was touching the frame of my truck causing the noise that I described which was misdiagnosed. The repair cost zero dollars but I still had to be charge a $100 diagnosis fee from this poorly managed shop Who clearly just want to take advantage of people. I contacted the owner and asked for at least half of my money back because of this misdiagnosis and he told me that I dont know what Im talking about and he refused to do anything and hung up on me. The shop is Amco in Dover Delaware and they are there to take peoples money not fix the problems

Hard working good work all these words describe Brandon Diaz and the employees they did great work on my truck but when it came to a palm sized dent in my hood they have dropped the ball in trying to show they actually care about their customers and their vehicles. Security cameras they told me might not go back one week the biggest disappointment is John the owner where is he ? No call no response nothing for a person as well know as he is where is he hiding. Or is waiting for court papers from larrimore construction for damage done to a ford diesel his technician put gas instead of diesel. It is sad that this Aamaco location has little to no compassion for customers damaged vehicles like a work truck stripped of all its copper plus it content of a local contractor the same week end my vehicle was damaged. Please take photos of your vehicle if you leave it there so you can prove of AAmacos lack of security personal I think those cameras seen outside are old and dont work as a disable us army ret vet I am calling all military to boycott this location for being un military friendly and not offering discount to the military
