I guess Im late to the game with EVERY other 5 star review. Well deserved, I brought my Trek in for a tune up and repair - started with the online que and then was sent an email that my time was here. Great system - I interacted with 3 people there and all 3 were really great to work with.Now - the actual work. I bought this (kind of my first better bike) used 2 years ago. After the work they did it was better than it was when I bought it. I was shocked, it was like I was riding with brakes on before the tune up. Cant recommend enough. Thanks for the great service.Edit - forgot to mention the turnaround time. I was told 2-3 days when I dropped it off at 4pm on a Wednesday - I got a call at 2pm Thursday, next day that it was ready. A place like RTT is the reason you should support good local bike shops. As a favor to a regular customer RTT rented me a great gravel bike for a week, something that was actually hard to accomplish for a visitor to Chicagoland. The bike held up very well on an 80 mile ride to Union Pier--couldnt have asked for better tuned bike.

I have been going to to RTT since they opened. Andy and Team always step up to ensure the best service with high quality products. Very knowledgeable and honest and straight to the point. I have had them customize and upgrade a couple of my existing bikes and they are far and above better than when originally purchased. My go to spot for tubes, tires, lube, accessories, and my next new bike purchase. Won’t go anywhere else.

First time Ive been here and I took my bike in for a tune up on a recommendation. They had a handy queue system that minimized my time without my bike. It was done within a week even with a holiday in the way. They did a fantastic job and it feels better now than it did new. Prices were very fair and no unnecessary upsells. Im very happy with their work and will definitely be returning for my biking needs.

Just like last time, great service when I dropped off, great work on the bike, timely repairs, good communication, and a great experience picking up. RTT makes it look easy. I have received excellent service from RTT Cycle Shop. Dont panic if you cant find them at first, the shop is tucked in next to Anderson Bookstore by the north end of the library (accessible by the parking lot). Rates are very fair and posted. Ive had them fix an older single gear bike that I was given and I also purchased a new bike through them.

Very quick service to fix my screw up in cross-threading my left pedal. Had the left hand tap, and was able to take my interruption to make the repair in less than 10 minutes.

Awesome local shop! Immediate attention, knowledgeable mechanics, and superb advice and conversation.

Courteous, Competent, Good Service: RTT was recommended to me by someone whos an avid bicyclist. This shop was perfect for our family, as they have free pickup and delivery to many near suburbs. Andy picked up our 6 bikes for Spring tune ups and one mobility device for assembly. I also bought some bike lights and replaced a set of tires. Andy returned the bikes to me in 5 days, good as new, all ready to go for the season. He even threw in a free light. We cant wait to start riding again.

RTT does great work. I was relieved to find a local shop I can rely on, and RTT fits the bill. They replaced my bottom bracket and some other components after thousands of miles on the old set, and things are rolling smoother than ever. Even better, Andy explained all the work that was done. But what really struck me was a small detail; Andy reset my u-lock so it hangs a little differently off the frame, and its so much better that way. Anyone with a bike should have a shop like RTT to go to.

I bought a Trek Mountain Track for my daughter when she was in middle school. She rode it through her college years, but then it languished in my unheated garage for 12 years. Andy carefully restored it. (Its beautiful!) It will be a birthday present for my granddaughter later this summer.

So happy to have RTT Cycle Shop in our beautiful downtown. Could not be more convenient, right by the BNSF tracks. They really know bikes and give you tremendous value for your repair/maintenance dollars.

RTT Cycle Shop is the only place to purchase a bike or have it tuned up. Andy Almazon, the owner is very knowledgeable and gave me a extremely competitive price on a bike for my wife, accessories and a bike carrier.The staff goes out out of their way to make sure you are on the road logging in miles. I will continue to take my bikes there for service and will buy my next bike from RTT.Long Term Review: I have continued to take my bikes to RTT for service, and yes I did get my next bike from RTT Cycles. I am still a five star customer. Andy provides thorough service that can only be provided by a top notch mechanic. Certainly the best bike shop in the Western Burbs and Chicagoland for that matter.

On Sunday, I found out my bottom bracket was loose with an Ironman this Sunday!I brought it to Andy who found that it was seized. He was able to unseize it and determined that I needed new cranks and a bottom bracket. We had zero time to do this- as I am going to Chattanooga for the Ironman today! Andy found the parts, had them shipped, repaired the bike and I was back in business in 48 hours!!!!! Incredible service. I will never go to another bike shop again.THANK YOU

A friend had recommended this shop. I usually can do my own repairs, but I had a shifting issue that I couldnt resolve. Andrew quickly diagnosed and came up with a repair and completed it several days earlier than expected. Bike works like new now. Great service!

Just had a bike in for a number of things... cables, brakes, bottom bracket, derailleur hanger, chain, and rode it today and felt like I was riding a new bike. Couldnt ask for anything more out of a bike shop -- quality parts and workmanship, timeliness of return. Support our local, independent bike shop!!

Called RTT to look up the price of a bike. Andy took my # and called back just a few minutes later. A couple other shops I called just blurted out prices and info that was not correct. I appreciated that Andy did not take wild guesses, he looked up the info and got right back to me.Andy told me that this years bike was being clearanced and gave me the reduced price. He then proceeded to ask me if I could hold off on purchasing a bit longer because in his research, the factory may reduce the price further.I received a call from Andy a couple weeks later with an even lower price. I place the order, got a call the day the bike came in and picked it up that evening.My wife & I will be coming back to RTT to purchase a bike for her. I will also be dropping off my bike for tune ups.

Great bike repair shop. Took a bike in that had not been ridden since the 90s and needed some work and parts. Andy was able to quickly look over the bike give me an estimate and stick to that estimate. We will definitely be back for any bike repair needs in the future.

Ok, let me start by saying this is no Giant superstore etc.. If you want mass produced cheap carbon fiber go some place else.. Andy runs a store with quality brands and quality workmanship. And, more importantly, he knows his stuff.. Dont tell him what you need, tell him how you ride and what you want to ride and he will know the solution. I have 4 bikes: Gravel, road, MTB and Pub bike.. And the only one he does not work on is the pub bike (no one does :) ). Shop local, support small.

I blew a tube and needed help right away. Andrew fixed my bike immediately at a great pice. He also took the time to adjust my helmet without me even asking. Great shop!

Tried the new shop in town this spring because its a lot closer to me than any of the others. What a great find. Andrew seems to have a lot of experience. When I told him that Im riding RAGBRAI (the 7-day ride across Iowa), he said hed give my bike a quick once over just before the ride, which was nice because I could keep training up until the last few days. The other shops at this time of year generally have at least a 2-week wait, which would mean I would have had to quit training on this bike way before the ride. He does great work at fair prices...what more can I say. I just wish there was better parking, you have the entire DG Library lot, but its often full.

After having my bike tuned up twice this summer during Ironman training and continuing to have issues, I turned to Andy at RTT cycles. Other members of the tri club I belong to had started to bring their bikes to him and had rave reviews. With about 10 days to go before Ironman I called Andy up, explained the issues I was having and he got me on right away. He even came to the shop during a holiday weekend so I could drop off my bike. I was able to get a couple of test rides in before the race and the bike shifted and responded perfectly. My mind was at ease that my bike would perform as it should during the race. During the race my bike was perfect. I didnt drop chain or have it shift unexpectedly (all prior issues even with tune ups). Andy definitely went above and beyond and he knew exactly what needed to be done to my bike. I will be returning.

2nd time in shop, Andy is personable, knowledgeable and ready to work !2 different problems fixed them both on the spot, I will go nowhere else. Bike problems ? Look no further go here. Thanx RTT.

They were knowledgeable and fun to talk, plus they got me back on the road super fast. I would highly recommend them over the big bike stores that gouge you on everything.

Brought my bike in for normal maintenance. Was promised it would be ready in 7 to 10 days. On the 10th day I called for the status and was informed bike wasnt even started on yet. Talked with owner (Andy) and he said he was just about to start on mine. When I complained he said no problem because work will only take an hour or so. He said he would keep in touch. I called the 11th day and was told bike is being worked on and it would be a few more days. I told desk clerk this is too long and Im going to pick up my bike now. Getting ready to leave I called to make sure bike would be in 1 piece. I talked to owner who now told me bike was not even begun yet. I told him I am coming in now to pick up bike. When I get to shop the desk clerk kind of said she was sorry but the owner (Andy) didnt even acknowledge me or apologize.I dont know how they have a 5 star rate when they can randomly treat a customer as bad as they treated me and wasted my time.Stay away from this shop.

Decided not to open today. Drove there with the family to buy 2 if not 3. And it was closed. I wouldnt not her with people that run a business this way.

After a tune up by Andy my bike rides like a hot knife through butter! Its like riding a new bike!
