Basically Good Will for books. An okay vinyl selection but a lot of the vinyl sleeves simply wont have a vinyl in them. But its a great cheap place to start a collection.

Great place to shop for books that will not break your budget. I usually shop for programming or business books and seem to have never left this store without finding something worth getting as you can see by the picture attached.Employees are helpful and very friendly and books are always in great condition.

If you are looking for a place that sells mostly used books, games, video games, comic books, cds, records, etc, this is the place. I could spend hours browsing here. There is a good deal of newer books that are lightly used, so if youre looking for a book that came out 2 months ago, I would check here.I was looking for an instructional book for a programming language. I found something pretty close, but it was a little old, but thats to be expected for programming languages that evolve frequently.The setup is exactly like any new bookstore that you would find. They have sections on every subject and everyone I spoke to was awesome.

I like it for audio CDs and note cards. Also some good books for young scholars.

DO NOT SELL YOUR stuff here offer little to nothing for used items so be careful. They dont give you anything for your items.* Basically a slap to the face with a smile!*Blu rays are ALWAYS overpriced and can get the same item on Amazon new for less. Books are sometimes a good price. However the staff is friendly and welcoming. Always look online before purchasing anything from here.

I heard good things about this place so I had some high expectations. Personally I went for the manga section and was honestly rather let down. There wasnt even a filled section for one shelf of Manga there. Plus the condition of some of the books was rather sad. I did find the rest nice but was a bit let down by the selection

I absolutely love this book store. They buy books, movies, records, etc... clean place. During the pandemic they are making sure everyone is safe, great prices on books, books are all in great condition. Very helpful staff if need help. This is one of my top bookstores I go too. And I love reading. I am a book connoisseur lol.

Has a great selection of books, movies and music not much on figures or collectables like the one in Niles.

I stop at this store every few weeks to see whats new. The comic book section is small, but the pricing is reasonable for the most part with exception of the uncommon/special issues, which Ive found to be higher then comic shops and eBay. The graphic novel section is full and diverse.There is usually a good selection of board games at this store and reasonable pricing. Video games is lackluster but thats probably due to the Disc Replay in the same shopping center.The book selection is good with a decent assortment in niche topics.I often find some real good items in clearance at this store.

Love this bookstore! Took my granddaughter and great-granddaughter here so they could pick out books for homeschool. Couldnt ask for a better or bigger selection, they have something for everyone. The store is clean and the staff is super helpful and friendly.

Im a regular customer at any and all Half Price Books stores. A great assortment of books, music, DVDs, video games, toys and collectibles. Its fun to go here cause you never know what you might find. They also have a clearance section where you can occasionally find a real gem two or three dollars. Prices are generally decent, although some things can be on the high side. Selling to them is pretty hit or miss, depending on what they need at any given time. Ive taken several boxes of books and only made around five dollars or a single paper grocery bag full and made close to twenty. Still, all in all a great place for any book, music or movie lover to check out.

New & used books are well organized. A good variety covering allot of topics. They also sell vinyl albums, and CDs, DVDs. These too are very well organized & laid out.

Shop here for the best deals on books & more. 1/2 Price books has a great selection and with all the different storea they have if the store you are at does not have what you are looking for they can probably order it from another one of their stores and ship it to store or your home. You can also shop online with hpb.com has an Incredible selection as well. There are also discounts and promo code you can ise through out the year that I suggest you look out for.

Not the best selection. Have been to many HPB over the years and this one had the poorest selection. The staff however was excellent. Very helpful and kind. If you are looking for anything particular would definitely call ahead.

Lots of books for learning books for kids and adults. Great for rare finds too.. Just got a good deal on a hard cover Blizzard art collection book. Although it seems like I missed all the other good stuff that Ive seen on there months ago. So things can sell out quick. That just means I need more regular visits. Love half priced books.

Helpful staff if you need anything. Leaves you alone if you want to just look around. Great prices on mostly gently used books. I have found some new ones still reduced to half price. Have found some good Vinyl and comics there as well.

This is a very useful way to get cheap books that are gently used. The name is misleading in the way that this is more then half price. It’s more like 75%, and that is an amazing thing. You get a bang for your buck for books you wouldn’t even know we’re used. This also sells movies and records for cheap too. The amazing thing too is that they hire people who read and watch these movies too so they can connect to you. No more going to Barnes and Nobles!

Had to get a Christmas present & this is a great cook book.

Such an amazing, charming little place. If you are any fan of literature and/or book collecting, its a wonderful spot to visit. Unfortunately as the digital and cloud-based medium of purchasing and entertainment keeps growing, it is hard for these quaint, traditional little places to keep their heads above water. Ive made the transition myself to digital reading and watching on services like Amazon Kindle, but I still love supporting these places and their prices are unbelievable. It is a hard copy collectors treasure trove, I promise you. Also, if you like movies practically half of it is a movie store as well!

I enjoy the used book experience, but they dont give much for book/magazine trades. (I just got less than $6 for 2 grocery bags full of hard cover books and was told they wouldnt give me anything for 2 magazines that were 2-3 months old because they were out of date. She didnt even mention the magazines until I asked why they were sitting to the side, and she said she was just going to put them in the clearance section. She was going to keep them without even asking what I wanted to do since she wasnt buying them.) The prices at this location arent great, and the clearance section is tiny compared to other locations Ive been to. I definitely wont sell my books here again.

The best place to go if you want to recicle/sale for cheap your old books.

It was terrible. They offered $0.50 for thirty books.

Do not sell anything of value here. This particular HPB does not pay well for items, like other HPBs have in the past. Very disappointing. Otherwise its a nice store, selection isnt that great though, kind of ordinary. Other HPBs have more unique things in their stores, but they also pay better for items, maybe thats why.

I went here to purchase an anatomy book and stumbled upon more helpful books for school. Half Price Books is definitely a place to visit if youre not looking to spending a lot of money. In addition, the atmosphere is comfortable and quiet. There are several locations, and I would definitely recommend visiting one.

Grateful for their willingness to buy our no longer needed or wanted books. Though you never get as much as you think they are worth, it is far better than trying to sell them at a garage sale or donating. Cash on the spot. You gotta like that!

The people there are very friendly. The selection of books is great but, the books are way overpriced. I brought in 4 boxes of books and was offered less than what one book cost to purchase. Better off donating to a not-for-profit organization and buying on Amazon.

I havent been in here for several years. My son & I were in the area shopping and he wanted to go in. He absolutely loved it and found several Lego Star Wars books that were very affordable. I stumbled across the clearance section that had a wide selection too.

The staff is cool as the underside of the pillow and they have things you wouldnt expect them to (like retro games and old direct market toys.) I highly recommend checking out this location and avoiding the Disc Replay in the same strip mall.

I was always buying books here. I just wanted to return some books. They rejected and told that these are bought from out of their district. I bought them 70miles away and it was half price too. They were not helpful for a good customer.

So, hear me out. I WANT to like this store, Ive been visiting it for about 2 years or so pretty steadily, but cant get over the three strikes it has against it (hence the 2 out of 5 stars). First star: the prices. Most items I look at (games, movies, books) tend to be at or above market value. It looks like they base most of their pricing by searching the highest sold item on eBay/Amazon and rounding up. While its never extreme, it always makes me pause before I buy something, and look up the eBay/Amazon prices. More often than not, you can readily find it cheaper on either site, which defeats most of the purpose of shopping at a brick and mortar store.The second star deduction is for selection. Granted, their selection is based off of what people bring in and so they have limited control over it, but its fairly stale. While other HPBs have a pretty steady stream of new arrivals, this particular location either doesnt get much in, or doesnt get most of their new stuff put out with any frequency. As such, expect to be looking at the same items each visit.The final star is for their buying prices. Now dont get me wrong, I FULLY understand that they are a business, and to survive they need to buy low and sell high. All resale stores do the same, but heres the issue: their buying prices are incredibly low, especially compared to their selling prices. As far as I can tell, having sold there before and coming in later to see what theyre selling my old items for, they buy at about 5-10% of what they sell for. Meaning, if you bring in something theyll sell for $100, theyll offer you between $5-10 for it. Obscenely low. Frankly, if youre selling games, movies, or toys, you may as well bring it over to the Disc Replay down the way. Their buy prices arent much better, but still better than 5%. Books, you may as well just donate to a local thrift store and get a small tax deduction.In the essence of a balanced review, I will say the pros of the store are that the staff are generally pleasant to deal with, and there is still some intrinsic enjoyment in browsing a used book/media store. There are just better, cheaper places to do it.

Theres like 3 Half price book stores in the area so theyre all kind of similar i thought this one had slightly higher prices and a smaller selection. Also when driving there the entrance to the mall is on the same road as an expressway so if you dont slow down its easy to miss

Half Price Books is my favorite physical book store. Of the locations I regularly visit, this one is the one I get to the least, but thats only due to proximity, as this one lives up to the high standards I expect from HPB. Selection, of course, always depends on what people have sold, but the store is clean and well organized. If youre looking for a specific item, they usually can check with their other stores.

Always a good selection of new and used. A fun place for the geeky collector.

Its nice to explore what books & whatnot they have & prices are reasonable. But if youre trying to sell books & DVDs, etc. you hardly get anything for them. I regret bringing valuable books cuz I only got pennies. The staff is helpful but seem overworked & stressed. It fills a need in society but isnt inspirational like an old fashioned bookstore.

Theyre dog friendly here.Also its a nice place to explore new books. Part of the fun is just looking at what they have since you know its typically always an affordable price. If you want to know if they have something, just ask the employees and they will check. If they have a book you want in another store they will ship it to thw closest store near you.

If you know what half price books is. Then you understand what you are in for. An adventure into books, like a archeological digging on a lost borders abandoned in its prime. So much fun.
