Sadly, after being a loyal customer for a few years, it has came to an end today. While getting my oil changed, they asked about changing my air filters, which I agreed because they were dirty, save me a few minutes of doing it myself.Once the car was finished, they charged me $79.00 to change the air filters! On the original receipt, it showed both filters price at $25.00. I asked about why Im being charged so much? The gentleman said because thats what the price is and the cabin is behind the glove compartment. Ive changed mine in the past at it took less than 1 min. This is beyond frustrating! The gentleman had nothing to say, other than, it is what it is.I will say they do good work and loved being a customer, but Ill be going elsewhere, not that theyll miss me as a customer or even affect customers, but I wanted to share my price gouging experience.

The customer service was great. I had a gash on the sidewall and it was kinda late. I called 4 other tire shops previously which either didnt have my tire or refused the car because of how late it was. Hillside tire had my tire in stock and replaced it quickly with no issues.

I can not say enough good things about the customer service here. We had a nail in a tire on our trailer. We were able to switch out to the spare and headed to Hillside Tire, flat flat tire in hand. Not only did they repair the tire but also offered to switch it back from the spare. All free of charge! We have been a customer of Hillside in the past and will always be a customer for the future.

Hillside tire is absolutely the best. They care about the safety of my car and my family but they work within my budget too. And they do everything! They’ve fixed so many weird issues with my vehicles I can’t even count. Their staff is kind, accommodating, and goes out of their way to treat you right.

Front desk guy (Rey) refused to mount tires for me because I didn’t buy the tires from their store. And told me I had to wait for hours behind all customers that came in after me because they bought tires from their store. Absolute joke. I’ve had tires mounted here before but have only ever had an issue with this single employee (Rey) for lying about prices and now refusing a paying customer. Will not be returning to this location again.

Moved here 7 years ago, referred to Hillside Tire by a friend and SOOOO glad we found these guys! Sam and Ray and two of my favorites and I even have them on speed dial for emergencies. Fair, fast and friendly - from something as simple as checking out a few cars too to bottom before I bought them to replacing an engine in my Dodge Diesel truck... I would recommend them to anyone!

I’ve been going to Hillside for years, and I figured it’s time to write them a review! I’ve never had anything but the best service here. I’ve had other service shops try to take advantage of me, but Hillside has always been honest, efficient, and professional, and I know I can trust Ray and Mike with whatever I need. Super friendly and fast. I went in before closing and they still took care of me and in less time than predicted. They also offer great discounts for first responders. Made my emissions and inspection a snap. They even completed the registration for me online so all I had to do was pay and everything was complete.

Weirdly rudeCalled to see if they had the tires we were looking for. They did, we offered to pay for them over the phone but the guy said he couldn’t but he promised to hold them for us. When we showed up they had sold the tires they had promised to hold.Find a better business to give you money to.

Have needed an oil change for a while, and so popped in to Hillside right when they opened this morning. They got me an oil change and new air filter in about 20 minutes, for around $100 (~$65 for synthetic oil, ~$20 for air filter). Super quick, comfortable waiting room, nice to work with. I called to make an appointment and they told me to just come in, I had a slow leak on my tire and in less than 10 minutes they had checked the tire and fixed the leak. Not only they were fast but they for sure made a new customer! Thank you guys

I have gone to Hillside for as long as I can remember, first to the Cottonwood Heights location and now to the Draper one. I’ve purchased tires there, had the tires rotated and the car oil changed there, as well as had them run emissions tests and do repairs ranging from a new fuel line to a muffler.The service is good. The people working at Hillside are honest and its the only place I trust to take my cars in the area. Today I brought my car in and they patched up my tire from a nail hole. I went to another place earlier today (only because I wasn’t sure my flat would make it to hillside) they tried to sell me 4 new tires on my brand new car. I didn’t need new tires at all so I left and made it to Hillside. They didn’t try to sell me anything and just patched up my tire.

Waited 2 hours to have tires mounted and balanced for about $85.I didn’t appreciate how my concerns, or others were met/treated.Overall disappointed with management and the treatment of customers

I went in to have a flat tire looked at. They were so quick and helpful and didn’t charge me a dime! They removed two nails from my tire, patched it up and filled the rest of my tires with air. I watched a couple other people go in and out and they also weren’t charged for their flat repairs! I highly recommend this tire store over ANY other!

Took our car to these guys last week for issue with breaks and heater and they did a great job.Today when driving on the freeway the car started smoking so we had it towed (planning to tow it back to this shop). Accidentally told the tow truck to go to the Sandy location instead. Thanks to the these guys working with the other location, everything was fixed by the end of the day FOR NO CHARGE! Honest, Friendly and non responsive. These guys are straight forward and fair. Their prices are reasonable and they never take more than they deserve... Unless were talking about TIME. If they say well call you back in an hour... better count on a day. You find yourself chasing them around and out of 8 promised call backs... all of them were 5 hours over due and since I was the one placing the call maybe it would have been greater than 5 hours. They really need to create a response system. Grandma never lets her cookies stay in oven too long as a simple timer will not allow it... Take a lesson from Granny... Cookies and customers are best unburned.

You can tell that they truly care about the customer and their satisfaction. They make sure you know what’s going on by keeping you well informed. They didn’t try to make me buy things I didn’t need, and they didn’t treat me like some stupid girl who doesn’t know anything. They are honest, good hearted people who are really there to help.

Manager and techs here are very helpful. Always provide good value for dollar. Many times, they have seen and done minor repairs at no cost. You may surprised when you ask for discount. Manager always reduces the cost by 10-20%, if not more.Highly recommend this for any Auto repair.

Excellent service. Got a flat on some run flat tires on Friday while leaving town for the weekend. The tire was damaged and needed to be replaced. They didnt have the tires in stock, but found some at another shop in Salt Lake. The owner drove up there himself to pick them up so wed be able to get on with our weekend plans.

Highly recommend. I came to get a catalytic converter replaced (and some other problems diagnosed) a few days before Memorial Day-- a time that seems to be extra busy for just about any mechanic. Sam was helpful and straightforward all throughout the process, and gave reasonable recommendations without any pressure to commit to expensive repairs. Im not savvy regarding vehicle repairs, so I did some side research to compare the prices quoted here against what other mechanics charge, and I found that the prices I was quoted here were extremely reasonable. That, and the quickness of the repair, made this a place Ill return to.

We were headed out of town and needed a leaky tire repaired. They were very busy but said they would check it out for us anyway. We pulled right in, they looked at our tire and fixed it for us quickly and at no charge! We were so grateful! I cannot express how WONDERFUL the team at Hillside have been to me. Ive took my Subaru WRX in to see what was going on with it and Sam the manager didnt charge me anything. Turns out, my Suby was on its last legs.When I started shopping for a new car (Im a family man, now) I took in 3 minivans into Hillside to have them check them out before making a purchase, and Matt was very straight with me, and advised me on the ones to stay away from because of what their mechanics found.This last time, they FINALLY charged me to look at a potential purchase and it was money well spent. How many shops only charge $30 to check out 4 cars? This Hillside is the ONLY shop I will ever have my cars repaired at because they are so up-front and honest.

This is a shop you can trust! When my car broke down, they gave an honest evaluation of its condition (it needed to be junked, not repaired), and they did it at no cost. They then stored the car until we could get it towed. Along the way, the manager, Ray, and assistantmanager, Sam, were especially helpful, courteous and patient.

I used to frequent this place years ago. After being burned by them I stopped going. Over this past weekend I thought I would give them another chance because my usual shop couldn’t get me in until Monday. I went in to get a new set of tires, when I came to pick it up they told me my tire pressure system was broken. I know for a fact it was fine before I brought it in. Before my display showed the PSI of each tire and now it doesn’t. After going there, it now has a warning light and says it needs to be serviced. If you are looking for an honest and fair shop, I would recommend the Big O Tires up the street.Edit: I called them up and Ray said they would take care of the cost for a replacement.

I had my head gasket done on my 2008 Mazda 3 little over a month ago. Its been great they do awesome work. And they care my check engine light came on about 3 weeks after the work was done. I called they said bring it down. It was a little gasket they fixed it right away didnt charge me nothing because it was a part they had to remove to do the head gasket. And the gasket failed they could of been like alot of shops out there and tried getting more money out of me. But they didnt they are honest very good prices trust me Im cheap I shopped around alot. But they have my business for life. And I will tell anybody I know are meet to go there. Thanks Hillside tire and all the great service writers and technicians that work there.

I always go to Hillside Tire because theyre honest and fair. Ive had a couple times where Ive gone to them and they found something minor that was a quick fix that they didnt charge me for. They could have easily taken advantage of my ignorance and charged me for other items. My fear when it comes to mechanical issues is that Im going to get charged for items that dont really need to be fixed. I never have to question that with these guys. Theyre always friendly, provide great service, quick turnaround, and are honest so well always take our cars to Mike and his team.

Went down to get some lug nuts removed I did not have the key for them. They told me it could take a while and they are really hard to remove. They charged me 80$ an hour for labor, I left my car with them went to get food for about 30 minutes and when i came back they were done with my car and all the lug nuts were gone without any damage to my rims. The dealership quoted me 120$ this cost me 40$ for labor 10/10 would go again, this Good Year earned themselves a customer.

Ok so 11/10 with this place, I had to get new tires same day and what not but there was a complication where they had to get a part for my car and they couldn’t get a hold of me but the guy remembered the logo on my shirt and not knowing for sure if I even worked at that location (Best Buy) he came in and found me and asked me if it was ok to install a kit they needed for my alignment. If he didn’t I would’ve been unexpected charged 200$ or they just couldn’t do the job but instead went the extra mile (literally a mile) to see if it was ok to do so and finish the job and do it right as opposed to not do it which would’ve shredded my tires

The staff and manager at this shop have gone well above and beyond. We had a problem with our 5th Wheel tire while traveling north. We pulled in around 5 pm and they quickly jumped to help us. We had a hug bulge and rubber missing on our tire. They quickly put on the spare and also set us up with a close RV park to stay overnight. By the next morning the new tire was at the shop mounted and ready to go within 20 min. I would recommend this store to anyone having problems. Thank you again Mike and all your staff for the great help.

I had to have my car towed and got to Hillside Tire after their working hours. Mike Edwards met me and explained that they were closed and then when I explained my circumstance, he and the tech-Bobby began whispering. Shortly after, Bobby, who was already in his street clothes, went back in and put back on his work clothes and between other team members running to get my part for the car, Mike and the tech had my car fixed in no time at AND at a reasonable price.
