We saw Wizard of Oz and many of the characters did such a good job acting identical to the original movie. From the odd inflections of Dorithys voice, to lions NY accent. The Which of the north was beautiful and pure, while the witch of the west had the perfect cackle.

WE LOVED IT! This historic theater has so much charm and history in the atmosphere 🥰 this is a small and intimate theater, where the cast warmly greets theater goers after each show outside as you are leaving and walking to your cars. This was such a personal touch and exciting for children and adults both to get to meet the actors and actresses of the production you just saw! Considering their size they really do an incredible job with their costumes and the quality of actors and actresses from what I saw, are second to no one at Hale Center! Help support and keep this historic theater thriving - you will really enjoy seeing a show here!

This place is adorable! It might be small and old but thats what gives it the charm and nostalgia of a small town live performance theatre. My girlfriend and I have watched several LOCAL TALENT stage plays and really enjoyed ourselves. Nestled on a side street in Draper not far off the I-15 freeway and near several eating establishments, this is a great change of pace from the typical movie theatre.

The actors and directors obviously care about what they do, have talent, and invest a lot in their performances. It would be fun to see the auditorium full and feel the energy from audience-performer interaction. The concessions stand isn’t overpriced like I thought it would be. A bottled water was only $1.00, not $3.00 or $5.00.After the show, the cast lines the entrance/exit, and it seems customary to congratulate them on a job well done. (It can be awkward if this is not your style.)

It was my first time at this little theatre, and I was pleasantly surprised. We attended A Christmas Carol and I was moved. This theatre, without a lot of tech, was intimate and took me to a different time and place. The acting was surprisingly good, especially considering the range of ages of the actors. They had very young children who brought humanity and light, while playing their parts and remembering their lines. I truly felt the spirit of Christmas while watching this play.I expect to return.

Cute little theatre. It is definitely historic! I was a little surprised by the size and shape the theatre was in considering its in Draper, a relatively wealthy city. The concessions are a good deal, but pass on the popcorn as it tasted stale. It was probably sitting out for a long time. Young kids run the cash register for concessions so just double check their math so you dont overpay. Good price for decent community theatre. Support the arts!

A good historical location with decent shows. Nothing special, however. I like how close the audience is to the stage in such a small space, but its small enough to also sort of restrict the actors and directors artistic choices. They work well with what they have, though.

Random tangent performs every Saturday night at 10:00pm. They have public work shops you can attend if you want to learn how to do improv comedy. The workshops are free! They hold auditions for the troup once a year. They also, in addition to public workshops have player workshops where the players work to try and get better at their craft. If an actual player cant make the public workshop and or the player workshops, they are passive aggressively shamed by the leaders of the troupe. This may be by writing in a group chat how disappointed none/not enough of the players showed up or persistently asking for players to come just for a little bit which they are then given jobs that will keep them for ... more then a little bit. They seem to always be starved for players. Recently they changed their format to 4 improv players and one mc for their improv nights at 10pm. Contrary to the amout of players they have in their arsenal, they seem to always be needing somebody. They have a wonderful leadership with a leader who has a nice leader hat, and lets the two or three lesser leaders do most of the leader ship work. Which includes building the troupe with clients that want to hire them, player analysis, firing players etc. Many players have left the troupe for various reasons such as feeling picked on sexistly, problems with leadership style, and some players disappear because no one reaches out. Its a troupe of come if you want but we might harass you for choosing that. They also had a B squad that preformed once a month on Friday; however due to probable neglect, it no longer exists. It actually quite surprising the B group existed at all. It seemed it was more of an idea the leaderships liked rather than the work needed to put in. All this expected work for players for maybe earning $5 on a Saturday night, and that is if the leadership decides to play the players instead of holding the funds to improve the troupe via things they say they will buy and never do, or blowing it on a player party. Random tangent treats their troupe like they want to grow and make money but for the players in the troupe, they stay because they love the hobby and their friends. It is not the true job the leaders want to it be. Again, its a lot of obligation for something players do for fun. They also recently increased their entry fee to $8 from $5. After each show they talk to each other on how they can improve the show or how it could have been better for sometimes an hour or more. They are normally the same thoughts every show by only varying things. But dont worry, if you tech for them long enough they might let you play! If you havent noticed already Im just a bitter bystander right now, and the guilt will probably get to me and I will take this down. If you have read this far and just wanted a review of the troupe, here it is: You should go. Everyone loves to laugh and Im sure you will get a few chuckles in if you go see random tangent. Its a fun show consisting of two acts with a short intermission. Everything is made up on the spot. Its 8 bucks to get in and enjoy yourself from 10 to 11:30 (sometimes 12). They take audience suggestions to play improv games that will sure to bring a smile to your face. Go see random tangent! ♡
