The assistant manager, manager and district manager of this store lost my business for this whole brand for life. I had been shopping there for years and recently tried to haggle regarding the delivery fee, or to get a discount given my proven track record as a very loyal customer and given the 2 month delay on delivering the furniture I planned on buying. Not only did they refuse to budge on a $120 delivery fee to make a long-standing customer feel special and to preserve a $2,600 sale, they store manager and district manager were literally in the store and refused to even talk with me, sending an assistant manager to let me know that I’m not special, my longstanding loyalty meant nothing, and realistically they could care less about making the sale. The sales person was great, but his management lost the deal, lost my business for life, lost the business they used to receive by me raving about them and showing off their products in my home and office, and showed me why big box stores are getting crushed by convenience gurus like Amazon. If you want to feel special and appreciated, give this store and brand a hard pass!

Sally was nice to work with! Also excited that my furniture was delivered way earlier than I was initially told. Love my furniture and great customer service.This is not necessarily a Value City issue, but I would advise against using Acceptance Now. Cant access account online, cant get any response from customer service at corporate level and against my knowledge, the account has shown up on my credit report as a loan for an amount significantly more than what I owe. Seems shady.

My wife made what we consider a major purchase on May 2 at your 5600 Britton location. At the time of the ordering nothing was said by the salesperson about delays, problems with order fulfillment or anything of that nature. However, after the credit card was charged it was stated that only the couch was going to be delivered; the recliner chairs and a box spring and mattress would follow a couple days later. Since the card had been run and a significant time was spent creating the order, my wife decided to go on with the purchase. Here it is May 16 and she just received a call that the chairs are delayed until June 8. The box spring and mattress pushed until July. A manager at the 5600 Britton location said, There is nothing we can do for you. The manager, when answering questions regarding the status of our order; laughed in response to our concern. When pressed for an honest and realistic date, he again laughed and said he could not give us an estimated date. Additionally, He said he did not know if or when the furniture could be delivered or if the order could be fulfilled at all. How does the manager of the store not know where they get their furniture or how? We are cancelling the recliners, box spring and mattress. Id like Value City to come by my new house and pick up their recliner sofa and give my wife a full refund; ASAP. It is clear to me, Value City should not be taking orders for services or goods they cant deliver. At what point does this begin to be fraud? I suppose thats a question for the Attorney General of the State of Ohio. So I guess no one at Value City can help me with my order and I am at their mercy. The only thing Value City delivers is: Poor Customer Service!

My wife and myself originally visited the Britton Parkway location Jan 23, 2021 after visiting 4 other furniture stores. Shortly after arriving we were greeted by Jeana H and she was so pleasant. We had a few questions about a bedroom set and Jeana was able to answer with confidence and we could tell she was knowledgeable about the furniture. She gave us time to browse the store while still assuring us she was available to help. After some time we discovered the Santa Rosa bedroom set and knew it was what we’d been looking for. Jeana promptly checked availability for us. We still had questions and Jeana was able to answer them all. We were advised of financing options, warranty, protection package, delivery, etc. We needed to go home to measure to be sure the new furniture would work well in our space. Jeana had no problem with is saying we’d be back if we decided to go with the Santa Rosa set. She emailed us a furniture quote and was not pushy at all. Because Jeana was so efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with I made it a point to go back to work with her to make the purchase. It was a super dope shopping experience for us!Thank you Jeana!!

After seeing a storage ottoman online, went by the cavernous location and saw it in person. Sales manager Carl could not have been more accommodating. However, due to unforeseeable issues with the supplier, the ottoman was going to be delayed longer than I was willing to wait. When I went to cancel my purchase, while Carl was more than happy to process my refund request, he did state that they might have the same item in the clearance area. Sure enough, we took a look and there was a very suitable version of my ottoman there. While the item would be as-is, it looked in good enough condition overall. And the price I got it for made it all that much more acceptable. Again, Carl (and the loading staff), were fantastic. I did decide to cancel my original purchase but still got the ottoman I wanted for a fraction of the price (and faster than I thought Id have it). At no time was I ever pressured to spend more money or not cancel my original order. The staff only wanted to make sure I happy with any decision I made.The name of the store does not exude high expectations. But my experience with the staff made some I detest (shopping) a very simple process. When the time comes, I will be back to see what they can do for me next time.

I recently purchased living room furniture at the Dublin location. We worked with Steve who super nice and answered all of our questions. He was also very transparent with us regarding shipping time on the furniture due to Covid. I would recommend Value City Furniture, Dublin location and ask for Steve.

My husband and I recently got married. Got our new place, and literally got most of our furniture from these guys. Our bedroom set, living room set, dining room set and THESE GUYS HAD NOTHING IN STOCK! We have to wait for over a month to three months and still being told that there might be a delay, there’s no guarantee. What is most upsetting is that the salesperson didn’t tell us while we were looking around for what’s in stock or not. He should’ve. And then I call and ask about our services and delivery, and I have to wait for hours until I can speak with someone. Ridiculous. Their prices are reasonable and good, their variety selection is also good, but then they make you wait for a long time. If you’re okay with waiting, or if you need something months down the road, better to start buying now.Worst furniture buying experience. Wish it had been better !

We love the sectional, however we only received 5 of the 7 pieces, now we have to wait until May 19th for one piece and May 26th for the other. And when they delivered the 5 pieces they put a leg on the wedge that was approximately an inch and a half longer than the other legs. Had to call Value City and the go to a different store than where I purchased the sectional to get the correct leg.

This is a really bad store, some of the front people could work on basic courtesy and competence. I had a warranty refund and you would have thought i was asking for the moon. I mean its value city, my expectations arent that high. What does it take to get a matching nightstand, acts of god? Anyways, the back crew was good, got me a box after a front office 40 min run around.

Extremely Dissatisfied with the VCF Product and their Service. Here is my story. 1. Purchased a Dining Table early March 2021.2.Delivered the Product on April 29th 2021 with a broken part, installation team recommended to request VCF for the replacement part as the table top was glass and its not safe.3. Rescheduled Installation for May 27th 2021, Team didnt show up for the installation.4. Rescheduled again for June 3rd 2021, Its a 2 person installation job but VCF dispatched only 1 person and never told him the actual problem and doesnt have the replacement part. He is now trying to repair and installed all by himself. I wish I could help him out but not sure how VCF would react if some thing goes wrong in the future.This would be my last purchase at VCF and never recommend VCF to anyone.

They charge 129 dollars for soft glove delivery when they delivered my dining room table it was damage and the guy said they would call me to send me a replacement after 2 weeks did not hear from them, i ended up calling and they schedule a date but when the person delivered the furniture didnt bother to set up the dining room correctly, it wasnt my fault that the table was damage, i feel i should get delivery money back, i have pictures of how they left my house upon request !!!

Rob and I (Rachel) just worked with Jeana in placing an order, and shes great 👍 However MARRISA is equally as wonderful !! I had questions about my order and even though I hadnt previously worked with her, and she took time (about 15 whole minutes) to take good care of us since Jeana was assisting someone else. She didnt make us wait (again) on Jeana to get back to us, but instead took charge to make sure we were professionally taken care of! Wow Im amazed, she was knowledgeable and eager to help - we can sleep peacefully tonight having received the much desired service that we needed before the day ended. I have waited to leave a review due to my experience starting out not the very best but Ms Jeana is absolutely Mrs Value City she takes pride in everything she sells welcomes not so good experiences with open arms wanting to make sure the customer is completely satisfied with whole experience and not while your just in the store. Following up to make sure customers are happy and satisfied I appreciate the quality time spent with me in the Dublin location several time she was the same each time (warm friendly inviting) making sure me as a customer wanted to not only come back for more funiture but come to see her. Marisa in the customer service area she gets a 10 for her lever of concern when it wasn’t her problem or area.The manager Ryan I am disappointed in for lying to me about my delivery with no call back then Denying he ever said that purchasing furniture should not be a combative situation Ryan can definitely take some pointers from Miss Jeana I waited at home day number 2 just to be rescheduled another day again Jeana stepped in to assist me with a better delivery time making sure things worked in my favor and with my schedule. Overall I feel she makes customer service convenient and easy add me as a customer not wanting to say anything negative that has happened to cloud her name I love you for the person that you are in the experience that I had. I walked in to this giant place buying furniture for the first time for my new home I just bought. I was met by Jeana Howard within minutes and she let me browse the store with no pressure sales whatsoever. When I found a couch I wanted, I let Jeana know and told her what else I was looking for. Without hesitation, she knew exactly what I was searching for. She was even able to give me an amazing deal and was very easy to relate with. Everything went really smooth with our transaction here today. We called first to make sure we were able to just stop in to shop without an appointment and Steven was very helpful. We arrived and were immediately helped by Sri. She was a tremendous help in finding us what we wanted, and she was at no point pushy. The gentleman in the back coordinating the pickups was great as well!! If you are need of any sort of home goods, give them a chance and I’m sure you’ll be pleased.

Their delivery & customer care is terrible. Purchased a mirror & dresser over a month ago & technicians dropped them off without hardware to attach them. Called customer service several times, which has 45 minutes to over an hour waiting time for a rep to answer, to let them know. They told us the hardware was out of stock & had to wait. We waited for over a month & had to call them again. Hardware was available & finally scheduled for a tech to come attach the mirror to dresser. Scheduled date arrives, the technician didn’t show up after waiting at home almost the entire day. Had to call customer care for them to let us know that the driver/scheduler cancelled it. They cancelled it without letting us know. They rescheduled us for a different date & hoping the tech will show up this time. But I’m very disappointed with their service. The mirror has been sitting on top of the dresser for almost 2 months now. They’re furniture is good but their service is very dissatisfying so I wouldn’t recommend.

My furniture arrived before the schedules time, which was not a problem. The team who made the delivery were kind and efficient. This was a big dresser going up stairs with narrow turns and they were so careful. They were in and out quickly. Very happy with our stop in. Walked out very happy with the pieces we purchased and the price we paid for them. Sally was ours sales rep and she was perfect. Friendly, Never pushy, very knowledgeable of the product and pieces that were available. The conversation never felt like she was sugar coating a sales pitch. I’m never going to Value City Furniture again, when I walked in I was greeted and the lady was very nice, however after browsing and finding the sofa I liked I decided to ask about it, I was told it was in stock at the warehouse and I’d get it that week, so the day before delivery I get a call, that the couch actually hadn’t reached the store yet, so delivery delayed, again another call stating the couch would be delayed again, come to find out it was never in stock to begin with! I canceled that order and will never be back! I do not appreciate being lied to.

Disappointed with my experience here. I’ve waited 3 months for my custom couch and they told me it would be delivered by January 12. They call me on January 12th and tell me it’s ready for pick up and when my boyfriend shows up THE COUCH I’SNT THERE. They didn’t even know where it was. My boyfriend is in the military and is leaving the 15th and now the new pickup date is the 19th I don’t have anyone to pick up the couch so I asked if they would be willing to give me free shipping and have it sent to my house. They said if they did that then I won’t get the couch until April!! I’m beyond frustrated and will not be shopping here again.Update: it’s now the 19th my couch still isn’t there, they claimed they emailed me saying it will be here the 29th yet I have no email stating this. I was told last week that my couch is made and at the warehouse in D.C. and I’m still so confused on why it’s not getting here?

This experience has been so frustrating and up to now has been my go to place to buy furniture.NEVER AGAINLoved my experience in the store, delivery date wasnt too far out. Today was the day of the delivery and the only item I received was a cheap coffee table I noticed in the store. So where is my couch? I called the number for the delivery yesterday and was told I was receiving the majority of my couch today along with the coffee table. Not happy about this and the lack of communication about when to expect my couch. When I picked a day in the store for delivery I expected to get the items I purchased. Not happy.edit: I got a call and it sounds like things are being sorted out. Leaving reviews works, I am glad they look at these.Editing again: Im over this place. I was promised a credit to my account and my whole couch to be delivered today and I just received a partial couch. No idea where the other section is. The is just unacceptable.

Lots to choose from and a friendly sales staff that doesnt hound you. You will be very nicely greeted, but you will not be escorted everywhere you go. They do have a clearance section of youre bargain hunting, bit other items are fairly priced. Not just furniture, also decor its from lamps, pictures, etc.

Arguably the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. Waited over a month for the first delivery where we were told we would be getting the full delivery.They show up and drop off half of a couch and leave. Not giving us a date to where we can have the other piece delivered. Hung up on prior to the call being answered when calling the store multiple times. Also, waiting over an hour to get through a line of 50+ callers every time. We’re now waiting another month to get the other portion of the couch we paid for in full at the store.They do not email back, or offer any compensation for the mistakes on their end. We worked with Sri, and have emailed her multiple times with 0 response.Do not shop at the Dublin VCF.

If you want to waste a lot of time and money shop here!!!!I ordered and prepaid for a sectional on 08/29/2020 and was scheduled for pick up on 10/23/2020. On Oct 21st - A sales rep told me my couch was ready for pick up, so I rented a trailer and arranged people to help me pick it up. As we are getting ready to load, they realize all the parts are in fact NOT there. I called on Oct 23rd (my org pick up date) because no one had contacted me and they said they would try and work something out. On Oct 25th, we went back into value city to try and figure out what was going on and they told me I wouldnt receive my couch until DECEMBER 12th. (keep in mind I ordered this couch in august.) I explained that this was completely unacceptable, especially with the holidays coming up. I am planning to host my family and now have no couch to sit on. I feel like the rep I spoke to did not take me seriously because I am younger. They ended up offering me the FLOOR MODEL. I find this completely inappropriate given the current circumstances and the rapidly increasing coronavirus numbers. I have been trying to get in contact with corporate and have been on hold for 2 hours so far. On October 29 joy from their customer service team reached out to me and scheduled the couch delivery for December 12, 2020 between the hours of 9:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Fast forward to 12/09. I get a voicemail from their delivery service saying my couch will be delivered on 12/11 at 9 AM when It wasn’t even scheduled for that. I go in and explain to Ryan and Carl that I can’t do that because I took off work on 12/12 so I could be there for the delivery. they said they will try their best to get it rescheduled to 12/12. I got another voicemail from their delivery service on 12/10 at 9:53am saying my new expected delivery will be 12/12 between the hours of 915 and 1045. Later today around 5 PM Ryan calls me and tells me “unfortunately we actually do not have all your sectional pieces and we will have to reschedule your delivery for January 13, 2021.” They offered me a compensation of $100 for “all of my troubles”Lisa Foster, Ryan and carl need major training in customer service...... Jeana honestly should be store manager. She’s the only person who has actually cared and tried to help throughout this whole experience.

My mom and I just bought a couch from here and had an amazing experience! The store just recently opened for walk-ins due to the pandemic and made their customers feel incredibly safe. Everything was wiped down constantly and distance was kept with everyone in the store but we still got excellent service! Ricky Rigutto helped us out and was not over bearing! He gave us great information for what we needed but gave us time to look around for ourselves. Once we had a couch selected, he made sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable with our purchase. I would highly recommend going to VCF and asking for Ricky!

But what I liked the most about visiting value city was that it is a very laid-back atmosphere. I do not like furniture retailers that greet you at the door and connect them selves to you while you browse the store. Ricky was very patient while I browsed around the store and when I was ready he was there to help me. He was able to answer every question and concern I had and pointed out things that I had not initially thought about. The purchase process went very smoothly.As far as the cost of the furniture was concerned I found that value city’s selection and quality was as good as any of the other retailers in the area yet far more economical for my needs. I purchased a full bedroom set, couch with chaise, Chair, and a TV stand. All of the items are excellent quality in my opinion. All hardwood and excellent build quality.When the furniture was delivered, Bill and Vincent did an excellent job. They had to carry everything up two flights of stairs as I live on the third floor of my building. They set everything up in a timely manner and were courteous and professional.I would definitely recommend visiting value city.

Just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic (early March), my girlfriend and I were in search of a power-reclining sofa and chairs for our basement. We dealt with David, and he was very accommodating and helpful in our search. We were able to find just what we needed, and are in love with our new furniture!We ended up coming back in today (July 11), looking for a chair that we had noticed during our last visit. It turns out that the only one they had left was the floor model, but we were able to purchase it and bring it home within minutes. David, along with his manager, Steven, cut us a sweet deal on the chair and made sure that we felt welcome and very comfortable with our purchase.I would highly recommend Value City Funiture Dublin to anyone whos looking for reasonably-priced, high-quality furniture, and an excellent level of customer service. Selection is decent. The parking lot access from the road isnt great. Its easy to turn too early only to realize that the next door lot doesnt connect through. Sally was a nice salesperson. She wasnt overly pushy, and gave us some ideas. I wish she wasnt paid on commission, though. It would be nice to just shop and find someone when we have a question like any non-furniture store.

We bought our couch on Jan 3 or something, but I completely for got to write a review for Jeana! After the first of the year we decided that we wanted to get a new couch. We knew we were going to Value City as they were close and had the couch we wanted. I had a horrible experience at the Value City on West Broad and decided there was no way I was ordering a couch from the employees there. I get the company still gets the money but if they work on commission I really didnt want to help any of them out after the way they treated us.The couch we wanted was only at Value City so we went to another store. When we got to the Britton Parkway store Jeana greeted us right away. I told her what happened and what we were looking to get and she immediately went to work trying to not only get me a deal, but make sure the style and feel of my living room was reflected in the couch I chose. She walked us through the store and helped us find a couch. It ended up being something completely different then we originally went in to purchase, but I am so happy with it! She was not pushy or overbearing, she was wonderful! She was super knowledgeable, had great taste, and totally got what I wanted. Not only did she sell us a couch we love, but when we picked it up, she worked with the warehouse guy to help wrap the couch and get it ready as he was the only one in the store. I seriously cannot say enough great things about that girl!

Preston and Chris did a fantastic job with my delivery from the beginning. First with calling me and letting me know how long they will be and answering quickly when I called them because I had a last minute emergency. In a short amount of time, they had my furniture in my apartment and set up. I also appreciate that I was told about a piece that wasn’t sent with them and they would let someone know quickly. I was really excited to go in today to furnish quite a few rooms. Unfortunately, the experience I had was pretty horrible. I am hopeful that this review will help others avoid this store and the frustration that comes with shopping here. Not only were multiple products not available within the next month but in order to find other options I had to look online myself to find the inventory in other colors that would be available earlier. The sales individual provided no help and I went around taking pictures of tag numbers for items that I needed. The sales individual gave the wrong price on multiple things including the total order while she loudly communicate my personal credit information across the showcase floor. The only saving grace was Gordon the sales manager who tried to provide her with some kid glove coaching and stepped in to save the sale. I would avoid this store and suggest that Gordon go to a company that’s customer service will provide sustainability during the economic strain.
