The Cake Guys were amazing! From our initial tasting with them, to the night of our wedding, everything was great! At our tasting, we tried so many different flavors that it was so hard to choose which ones we wanted - they were ALL delicious! We ended up coming up with the perfect compromise for shape of our cake when we just couldnt decide and it came out more perfect than I could imagine. They talked us through each step of the process, going through all of the options for decorating and colors, etc. to find out exactly what we wanted. Their communication was great and our cake looked beautiful and tasted even better (if thats even possible) - all of our guests loved it! I cannot wait to taste the top layer on our one year anniversary and would 10/10 recommend them for all your wedding cake needs! It was just perfect!

Outstanding would be the only way to describe it. Hands down the best cake Ive ever eaten. My only complaint is the location. You really need to know and pay attention to the address because Google takes you to the old location and the new one doesnt have any signs.Edit 06/09/2015I just wanted to update my review after the wedding. It stays at five stars. The cake looked and tasted awesome and it was delivered with plenty of time before the wedding. I really like that they include a separate small cake to be frozen for the first anniversary, as well. Awesome job, TCG.

The cake guys make the most incredible cake imaginable. Since my wedding on 10/23/10 I have recommended them to countless family and friends, who have all been amazed by them. I have tried at least 8 of their flavors and all were outstanding. I highly recommend the cake guys to anyone, you will not be disappointed.

The Cake Guys made our wedding cake and grooms cake- both were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We went to a Sample Saturday and after trying the white cake with raspberry filling and buttercream we placed our order on the spot. Neither of us really like raspberry- but this was SO good we were both shocked with our choice. The cake was moist and the frosting was perfection- not too sweet, but fluffy and delicious. Everyone at the wedding raved about the cakes! They were able to customize everything to match our wedding (ribbon and flowers) and it was a definite show stopper at the reception. Everything was delivered on time in perfect condition and communication was great. Would highly, highly recommend!

Wish i could give them 10 stars. the cake guys did such an amazing job with covering everything for my friends wedding, from communicating in a timely manner, to pointing out all options, plus even working with us on pricing....just amazing. we didnt have to worry AT ALL the day of! not to mention the real deal tasted even better than the day we sampled....i mean just amazing. i will always recommend the cake guys before anyone else!

The process for designing and ordering my cake was a breeze. Their website is awesome...just make sure to READ! Their cakes are definitely worth the price- beautiful and DELICIOUS! All of my guests were in awe!

Our daughters July 6th wedding reception was wonderful from start to finish! The Cake Guys played a big part in our wonderful evening! The service provided was thorough, personal, and very kind. The cakes, in a word, amazing! They were beautiful on display, and delicious, too. After leaving the reception at the Dallas Arboretum, people sent me text messages and emails to ask, Who mad the cakes? I was happy to say, The Cake Guys! Put Cake Guys on the top of your vendor list, and then dont add any other cake shop...They are the best!The Cake Guys staff seemed to truly care about our big day! We are so grateful for their fine service.

My wife and daughter traveled all over the metroplex trying cake at events and open houses for my daughters wedding. Once they tasted the cake guys they were done looking. My wife researched for a solid year and once my daughter tried her sample pack? She and her fiance were sold on The Cake Guys. Moist, delicious, so many combinations. The decorating options are endless and all are beautiful. Ordering could not have been easier. Everything was done by email. Super easy. The wedding and grooms cakes were OUTSTANDING. Raves all around. My daughter had white chocolate raspberry and her groom has peanut butter chocolate with chocolate frosting and the dipped strawberries. The best value, the best design, the best taste. Not a lot of choices but what there are is delicious. They even wanted to sell us a smaller cake based on the number of servings. Well we wanted extra!

The Cake Guys did an amazing job on our wedding cakes they succeeded my expectations they were very easy to work with from our consultation to the wedding day making sure everything was perfect. Since we did an outdoor wedding in May they delivered it right before the reception began and the cakes were perfect. My wedding cake with strawberry filling was amazing and the lemon was perfect for the grooms cake!!Thanks again to The Cake Guys for helping make our fairytail wedding perfect

All in all, communication was great and the guys were great to work with. The Cake guys prefer email communication rather than a phone call, I prefer email too so that works! that doesnt mean they wont call you back when you leave a voicemail. Also, once theyve been in contact with you they are happy to give out their cell numbers to ensure you are able to talk to them directly.Now lets talk about the cakes!I had a brides cake and a grooms cake. If you take the time to go through their website and read all of their info you get great coupons so read up people before you go for a tasting! Saves you time and $$$. Also, you get a discount if you book during your tasting.I took them a picture of what I was looking for in both cakes. We modified them and the lady actually makes notes of your cake and takes all of your details of your vision. We are car people, so for the grooms cake we wanted a specific front grill of a sport model car, we told them what we wanted and the lady made notes. We signed off on everything as her drawing and notes were right on point! We chose our flavors and they were delicious!!Wedding day gets here and I finally get to see our creations. I was floored, my jaw dropped and honest to God I did NOT want to cut the cake. They were a WORK OF ART!!! Beautiful!! They were EXACTLY what I pictured and wanted. They literally recreated my picture for the bridal cake and put the colors and finishing touches that I asked for. This was not an easy thing to do, the flowers I asked for were like 3 dimensional and had several loops within loops to make the flower. I couldnt believe they got every single detail correct. I mean, the grill on the grooms cake had the lines, the different colors, the emblem, it was just perfection.I am so happy that my vision was their priority and they made it happen. I cant thank you Cake Guys enough!!!!!

Buyer beware! Avoid if you have food allergies, they promise to respect them and then do NOT. Cake was beautiful but groom nearly went to the hospital on his wedding night! His face was swollen and red and he was in anaphylactic shock. They were outrageously rude about it when a simple apology would have gone a long way. Do not use cake guys!!

The cake design, tasting, and personal time they gave was an awesome experience. We had our top tier just this month for our 1 yr anniversary and the cake was as a delicious as it was on our wedding day!

Everything was absolutely excellant. Tasting, designing, ordering, delivery and result - all perfect. They did both the wedding and grooms cake - we received all compliments on the look and taste of the cakes. There is not a single improvement Id suggest. BRAVO!!!

I will never attempt to order anything from this company again. The owner, Chad, is incredibly rude. Its the worst customer service Ive received in a long time. So I went to a search engine and typed in the cake guys cupcakes and it took me directly to their website where I could submit an order for cupcakes. It had a spread of all their cupcakes and at the bottom it had the submission box for the cupcakes. I put in my order the pressed the submit button and it sent me to a page that said thank you for your order. I placed the order a full week in advance. The page also said someone would contact me. I waited a few days and didnt hear back so I emailed them. I received a reply stating they dont make cupcakes anymore and I replied by saying it puts me in a bind because now I have to find someone to make them and its short notice. I then received a message from Chad, an owner of the company. He started off by saying that its not their error and that I shouldve read the FAQ or scrolled through the rest of their website. My response was why would I go to the FAQ or the rest of the site? I was taken directly to the cupcakes on their site which they FAILED to CORRECTLY update. Again, I was actually able to submit my order and it sent me to the thank you page. I also informed him I didnt appreciate the terrible customer service he was providing, especially as an owner. He then replies and says he apologizes but that I should take responsibility for my own actions. So let me get this straight...I should take responsibility for your website allowing me to make an order. He then goes on and on about how awesome the company is and that the problem with society is that people dont take responsibility for their own actions and that I should stop being so damn judgmental ...then proceeds to even tell me to take a look in the mirror. WOW! Never again! Take a look at parts of the nasty emails he sent me below.Hi! I am the owner. I apologize, but there is no error on our part. It clearly states on our website and frequently asked questions that we no longer make anything other than wedding cakes. Im not sure how this puts you in a bind because even if we would have been making cupcakes there was a 7 day advance notice. And months ago...When we were making cupcakes, we did not keep them ready or bake them every day... Everything we do is baked fresh so Im not sure when you needed them but if you wouldve needed them for this week or this weekend it would not of been possible anyways.So you know what, just stop for a few seconds and take responsibility for yourself and try to make the world a better place instead of being so damn judgmental and negative.Its easy to run your mouth and tell somebody how horrible they are… But just look in the mirror ....youre the one who placed the order .....and youre the one who did not follow up because I never received the order and if I dont receive the order how can I make it?One thing I learned…When you are the best in the business you can also be choosy. AND WE ARE. My cakes only go to the best customers. The best cakes for the best customers.

Almost sent the groom to the emergency room on HIS WEDDING NIGHT!!!!!!! They did not provide a dairy free cake like promised and the poor groom spent the evening drugged up on Benadryl with swollen lips. Made no apologies for ruining the wedding night that they cant get back. Had the gall to tell the groom Ill tell you what, you return the cake, and Ill refund you as if that was even a real option. Disgusting behavior by a so called grown man much less a business owner. They dont deserve your business.

Absolutely horrible service and the customer service is awful. The owners response was condescending and sarcastic.

Had a hard time getting in touch with the owners to set a cake tasting appointment. It took us 2 months to get ahold of them for this. We finally set up an appointment at 7pm because that was the only time they could do during the week. Ten minutes after the appointment time (after driving 1 hour to get there) when I texted him, he said he got stuck at work. I read in another review where he said our brides get 100% of our time....thats a joke.

The best experience I ever had with Cake tasting getting married next summer the knowledge and customer service from this establishment was worth every Penny and I aint easy to sell to.

I ordered a cake from them for my 15th a few years ago.... my theme was ballerina and I wasnt supposed to have ballet shoes as the topper. When the cake arrived it came with no topper. It looked so plain because the big thing was going to be the shoes. After telling their delivery girl she said she would bring them and she came back with a small crown... we paid for the shoes didnt get the shoes and didnt even get an apology or partial refund for the shoes. So un-professional!!

These guys ROCK! Not only did they put up with every special request I had, but the cake looked amazing... and tasted even better! I got married in September and I still get comments all the time about how good my wedding cake was. I would recomend these guys to everyone! I cant wait to move back to the dallas area so I can get all my cakes from them!!!!

I tried ordering a wedding cake, but it contained gluten, GMOs, Dairy and Dihydrogen Monoxide. When I pointed this out, the passive aggressive and uneducated gentleman I spoke with, Chad, lied to my face about the contents of his crappy cake. Be warned, this guy uses dangerous chemicals in his cake. Dihydrogen Monoxide is found in everyone that has ever died, and is a common ingredient in bleach and other cleaning products.

Visited while I was in town and was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to find out they closed the location on Stone Gap. Unfortunately they only DO CATERING NOW! WHICH SUCKS !!!!!!
