First time in my life I didn’t tip. The food was good IF they ever serve it. Drinks took 15 minutes while the waitstaff talks and looks at their phone in the far corner of the room. Waitress didn’t know what was in a Spanish omelet and never went back to ask. Half the food came and then the other half came later. And I don’t mean my food came and my partners food came later, I mean literally half of each of our orders came out while we waited for the other half and AT THIS POINT WE STILL DIDN’T HAVE UTENSILS. I ordered a side of bacon, they charged me for it but never brought it out. I should have left the moment we walked in and a waitress said “anywhere not dirty”.. really appetizing way to say “seat yourself”.

The most depressing breakfast restaurant Ive ever been to. Thats what my friend said after breakfast this morning. The food was ok and the potatoes that we ordered extra crispy were delicious. It was extremely warm inside and the waiter must have been having a bad day. He only spoke to us when necessary and so quietly we could barely hear him. Wont be back.

First time ever eating in this diner. Was not really impressed with the food, I ordered prime rib it was more like thin roast beef. There are Much much better prime ribs in the area.. The man next to me ordered a soup they served it to him cold, he let them know that it was cold and they went in microwaved it. Well thats real healthy!Now the biggest problem here is the staff member I believe his name was Anthony this Anthony seem to have a real problem with me or my color, he kept giving me the death stares and came and handed me my check and just threw it on the table in front of me and didnt say thank you, didnt say how is everything didnt ask a question. He Seems like one of these busted rubbers from New York that come in this area that are failures in New York City because of the policies they voted for out there. They come out here to Scranton area and they try to start a new life but they bring their attitudes and their voting records with them. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result And then thats the definition of insanity. Not my fault youre a liberal.

Service was quick and pleasant. Food was good, better than average. Prices are a little high for the dinner style, but more than fair for the quality.
Average diner food. Felt rushed by the waitress. She took my plate as I was putting my last bite in my mouth and we were given our check before we finished eating. The diner is definitely one of the cleaner ones in the area though which is nice.

Horrible customer service. Poor communication. Should not be affiliated with doordash. Does not verify that orders are going to the correct customer, does not verify drivers, absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I had to pick up a doordash delivery for a customer, delivered the food, and had to return back to the diner for the other half of the customer’s order that they forgot and CLAIMED they double checked. When I did return to pick up the remainder of the customer’s order that was forgotten, I was given a completely different customers order. They did not reimburse either customers, or myself as the delivery driver. Doordash should remove them as a partnering restaurant. 0/10 I would NEVER recommend to anyone.

Use to live in Dunmore. Nice town and the people are just as easy going as most small town residents are.But actually I was at John Gregory Hoover vaccuum repair and supply shop.also a nice and helpful place

Amazing stuffed pancakes (what in the world was that cream they put with the strawberries? Delish!) and friendly server. Eggs easy over were actually cooked properly, unlike most other diners Ive been to. Also, didnt kick me out when it was slow, which is a plus during Covid when you need a place to hang. I mean, you cant even hang out a Dunkin anymore.

I ordered a STUFFED WAFFLE from Buck Diner. Something I got all the time when I would come in before the Coronavirus. I placed an order for pick up anxious to have their stuffed waffles. I picked up my order came home and had a plain waffle. I called to let them know I ordered their STUFFED waffles not a regular waffle. Instead of even an apology or an offer to make what I ordered I got “well we have 2 waffles, stuffed and regular” ( I know this thanks) “I only heard you say waffle”. I am not pleased with how the mistake was handled. Mistakes happen but please don’t dismiss me! And maybe next time at least apologize for the mix up and offer to make me what I actually ordered. Thanks. My fault! From now on I guess I have to check my food before I leave with it!

The interior was attractively decorated to celebrate the beauties of Winter. The menu is huge and what we ordered looked exactly like the menu photos. However, the food was barely warm when we received it and the waitress spent all of her time talking to the cook, so we couldnt ask her to reheat our lunch. Since we were the only patrons in the diner, I expected far better service and hot food. This diner needs a daytime manager to keep the waitress and cook on track.

Salad came first, dressing came 5 minutes later. Chicken croquettes were nothing but filling couldnt find any chicken overdone. Did not get my roll & butter. Vegetable did not come on the plate with my fish,was serve later. I also was p not given a choice of tartar or cocktail sauce. For my dessert to go because I had to make an appointment oh, that was not prepared and the waitress gave attitude and asked if I wanted to sit back down for my dessert. planned on using my debit card, however minimum purchase was $10 with a card, bill would have been over $10 if the chicken croquettes had not been taken off the bill. Luckily I had cash. WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!

The meal was okay we had a club sandwich looked pretty good and I had a roast beef hoagie which was really just a roast beef sandwich with tomato and lettuce. Service was very good. My friend suggested we eat here based on the fact that her she and her husband had eaten here years ago, and that it was delicious, So naturally I Agreed to try it.My 1st in impression upon walking through the door Was that the place had seen better days, and this food better be good. Unfortunately it wasnt.We sat down and were greeted by the waitress who had seemed a little flustered. She brought us our water and then took our order.We both ordered salads to start, and they came out within a reasonable amount of time, but then we waited about 5 more minutes until our salad dressing arrived. We both thought was rather odd.The salad itself was rather sub par with it being some rather sad looking lettuce and some very soggy sliced beefsteak tomatoes on a plate. In one ward....bland.My friend and I then proceeded to sit in our booth and wait, and wait, and wait some more for our food to come out, and the waitress did not come over to explain what was going on.Now, keep in mind, there may have been four other tables in the whole place with 2 people per table, so I would not say the place was slammed.Finally, my friends food came out 1st, which consisted of a piece of fish on a plate, no roll and butter, no vegetables, nothing else that should have come with the meal. Then I sat and waited and waited, and waited some more until my dish arrived along with my friends vegetables on a separate plate.I had ordered the chicken croquette with mashed potatoes and was eagerly awaiting the 1st bite. Unfortunately, the 1st bite left me with a foul taste in my mouth. I tried another bite, but same foul taste remained. I then thought it was me and asked my friend to try it, which she did and agreed something was very off.For starters, the chicken croquette was nothing but filler and hardly any chicken. The potatoes must have been instant potatoes, and the whole plate was slathered in gravy, so much so it was like they were hiding something. Perhaps they were trying to cover up the weird metallic taste throughout the whole dish. Needless to say, I did not eat the meal.The waitress, who had pretty much been MIA throughout this entire experience, finally came to our table, and I told her there was something wrong with my food, to which she replied in a very snide fashion, whats wrong with it? I told her it was bad, like it had been on the verge of being spoiled, or that the gravy had been reheated multiple times.Fortunately for me, she agreed to take it my food off the bill, but she was rather rude after that.My friend had gotten a dessert with her meal, which she paid for. She had to ask the waitress to bring it out, but the waitress dismissed her to wait one another table. Literally said that to my friend.As we were paying our bill my friend asked for her dessert, and once again in a rude mannered this waitress said, Well you will have to sit back down to get your dessert! My friend replied no thank you she did not want it that bad.The final straw was before we left the dinner, we both needed to use the bathroom. My friend went 1st. She then came out and said that I could not use the bathroom because the toilet was broke, and I ended up using a toilet at a truck stop not far away.There are plenty of other places to eat in this area, so I would avoid this diner and go somewhere else, Unless you like lousy food and rude service.

Today I spent quality time with the family at Buck Town Diner, I had a great time, the waiters and the owner made us feel at home, they were very nice to us, the service was great. The food here is really good, if you want to have some good home cooked meal, then Buck Town Diner is definitely the place for you!!

Went to Bucktown Diner for the 1st time Saturday the 12th. There was eight in our party and we were seated immediately. Plenty of choices for breakfast. The staff is friendly,the food good and the prices reasonable.

Ordered a hot wing hoagie which consisted of fried chicken and the slightest bit of hot sauce. Had to ask for more. Requested no lettuce, but it came with lettuce anyway. Hard to mess up serving diner food, but theyve done it twice. Also the one wall is not insulated so its actually extremely cold if you sit along it. The kids had to keep their jackets on.

I wish I could give negative stars... Im so disappointed, they used to be amazing I just left and I shouldve said something there but it was so bad I thought there was no point.... I got a taco salad that was put into the shell where I couldnt eat it, like it was so packed it wouldve made a huge mess, the chicken on it tasted funny...my bf got a Reuben and it was cold, they put that together weird also. Once I got home I went to eat some of my salad and lo and behold the chicken wasnt fully cooked!! Im never going back there it was $40 and we didnt even eat it, oh we got stuffed mushrooms with crab appetizers but it was 2 kind of crab cakes I think, with a slice of mushroom on the bottom lol weird experience, bad, we got a pile of apple pie to go...yes, a pile, I wish I could add pics as I have all the evidence right here. Horrible waste of money

Fairly certain this place is owned by the same people who manage Viewmont Diner (a personal favorite of mine). The menus are very similar in style and options. Not bad stuff, but nothing I couldnt get at Viewmont. Parking is all street so finding a spot during breakfast hours might be tricky.
