You know how you have a Go to Guy for things. Steven is my Go To for my bow now. I have been bow hunting for 33 years and have never had this quality of service or knowledge from anyone - bar none. It is worth the trip and you should take your patients. He is a very busy but you will not be disappointed.

I had my bow serviced by Steven and he did an amazing job! I’ve taken my bow to the big box stores and other bow shops, and nothing comes close to the skills and customer service at this shop. Steven is extremely knowledgeable and worked with my bow’s manufacturer to get things resolved, which saved me a ton of time. It is 100% worth the drive to go to the Bowsmithe!

I recently moved down to NC from Michigan. I had new strings put on before I left and the bow was loud. When I took it back to the gentleman that installed the strings they told me that it was just new strings was why the bow was louder. Having shot the bow for many years I was not convinced.After getting down to NC I took a closer look at the bow and the timing marks on the cams were way off. I asked others that I work with where they would recommend and everyone recommended here. I took my bow here and they tuned the bow. The bow is signifantly quieter and smoother. The timing marks on the cams are within range and match. The level of detail and professionalism was top notch. It is a little bit of a drive from Raleigh but it is well worth it! Their knowledge of the industry and products was very impressive and I wont hesitate to get all my bow hunting needs from here! Highly recommend!

No wonder they have been in business more than 25 years; Ive been shooting for more than 50 years and have dealt with dozens of archery techs and shops, and these guys are without a doubt the best I have ever seen. Steve literally rebuilt my tournament bow with new CAMs and it is better than when it was new (at over a grand). They consider the whole system: the archer, shooting style, bow (rest, sight) and arrows to get you the best result. My rebuilt bow, tuning, and the arrows Steve designed for the system function like a laser; the arrow goes exactly where I aim it, and shot after shot. And by the way, if you are in the Triangle (as I am) and are looking for a shop with integrity, technical expertise, and business ethics, just stop looking in the Triangle, you wont find one. Make the drive to Dunn; you wont regret it.

This is the go-to place for your hunting supplies in this area. Brian and his team have a great selection and they have a heart for the community. They help to sponsor the annual turkey shoot for the local homeless shelter every year.

This bow shop should have more reviews than this and the one negative review needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I found this shop and it is a good half hour drive for me but I gladly make it whenever I need anything for my bow. Steven is the most knowledgeable tech you will ever find. I wont let anyone else ever touch my bows. The shop may not be flashy and it may look a little worn around the edges, but they treat you like family and they know archery. Theyll tell it to you straight and you can trust what they say. You can certainly find better prices online, but you will never get the kind of service that you will get with Bowsmithe. It is worth the drive.

Awesome place to get your bow tunes right! A few weeks ago I bought a new Mathews Triax bow at *******, when I left I thought it was properly tune and left feeling pretty good about my purchase. After spending 2 weeks working to get my broadheads to fly consistently I gave up. I went to the Steve at the bowsmithe and told him about my problem, within about 30 seconds he identified 6 issues with the bow. The timing was off, the top cam was tilted slightly, the rest was incorrectly installed, the nock point was off, and the peep sight wasn’t pulling true, and my arrow spine was too stiff (even though I was using the correct spine according the Gold Tip). After about an hour of making adjustments Steve had the bow shooting bullets on the paper tune.. then he identified 2 more issue all with my shooting which was immediately corrected. I’m glad I took the time to get my bow re-tuned by Steve. Many Thanks. Highly recommend this place.
