1 star, I walked in seeking a bike and hopefully some helpful customer service, however; that was never found. There were salesman on the floor, and they all seemed to be on phone calls, I understand they may have been helping other customers but their body language seemed to almost be ignoring me intentionally ( like Im not here to spend money right?) . A simple acknowledgement of my presence could have gone a long way and kept me there to make a sale. The lack there of led me straight out the door.

Ive been touring Colorado this past week and yesterday found myself in Durango with a rear tire that was ready to fail. Handlebars graciously squeezed my bike in and was able to replace both tires and get me back on the road. Would like to give a special shout out to Matt. Hes very knowledgeable about his products and knows how to make a customer feel comfortable

No stock on the lot from the street due to a pandemic. Walked in and asked, turns out there was a pioneer on order would be there in a week. The next day Matt called and said it was there! Pleasant surprise. Seems these guys just sell machines like hot cakes. Two days later was taking this beast home. 2021 pioneer 1000-5 deluxe. So, hard to find these days. Brett and company were really friendly and knowledgeable. Good group to deal with here, I would recommend to any of my friends and family.

I had a great experience with Handlebar Motorsports. I will definately go back for future work and recommend them to family and friends. Patrick at the service center is extremely helpful, I have a 2011 yz450 that needed valve job fork seals and a rear tire. They got it all done in a very reasonable time and also for a great price. Worst experience anybody could have when what you are supposed to be buying will make you smile. Matt, the salesman, just couldn’t hold up to his end of the deal. It’s fine, Harley Davidson was just down the road.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I am never one to leave bad reviews, but the way I was treated at Handlebar was atrocious. Not polite. Not friendly. Horribly unwelcoming experience. I would recommend literally anywhere else.

I called before coming in to ask some questions and couldnt get ahold of anyone. I decided to just drive down there and what an absolute waste of time. No questions were answered and customer service was horrible. Why open a business if you cant even be kind to people? It doesnt take much.

Awesome guys ! I was out at Peoria trying to get a new Yamaha and they try to charge me all these different tripe of fees, so I walk out of the store. I called Matt when I got in the truck and he got me a very awesome deal that a big dealer ship couldn’t do for me. Got me a new Yamaha for a very good price and the people at handlebar are very nice and helpful. I recommend you to check them out they are very helpful and nice. I was in and out with in 20-30 minutes.

Thanks again for the great experience this week for the stress free purchase of the used CRF125FB, and the needed gear to keep my daughter protected. Additionally Id like to voice how appreciative my daughter and I are for the time took to discuss the safe operation, maintenance and confidence instilling comments given during our time at the dealership. With this information and now with a properly sized bike she has in just 1 hour of ride time surpassed her previous riding limitations regarding clutching and confidence. within a day she completed the Honda rider book and when I got home she showed me all the answers she had given in the book. She also has read half the owners manual so far. To say she is a little excited about learning more about her bike would be an understatement!

Best customer service and team I have ever met!! We were up here for a soccer tournament from out of state but fell in love with one of the Side by sides at Handlebar. We ran into an issue while attempting to rent a trailer next door to get it back home but Matt and Kaylee went above and beyond and began reaching out to people they knew locally and helped us source a trailer. We were also helped by Yonbo who did an amazing job explaining the difference in safety equipment. Best vehicle buying expierance I have ever had! Will definitely be buying from here again. If your looking for a side by side or motorcycle this is the best place in Durango!

I had an extremely pleasant experience at Handlebar today. We went in looking for 2 four-wheelers and are so happy with what we came home with. They were extremely knowledgeable, very friendly staff, the purchase was paidless and they went above and beyond to take care of us. They even let us test-drive them, set the computer to our liking, washed them, and filled the tanks with gas. Ive never left a sales lot before with a full tank of gas and a fresh wash-job. So impressed!

I bought a restored 1999 Yamaha FZR 600 R from Matt at Handlebar Motorsports in Durango Colorado from Wisconsin, sight unseen, based upon my sons assessment of the website photos and conversations with Matt, about the bikes history. This was truly an exercise in faith! When the bike arrived, it did not disappoint! Its difficult to believe that the bike is a 1999 model year, when it appears to be a recent Yamaha issue. This is no average bike; its beautiful, new looking, is in excellent working condition, with great color for visibility and safety (which mom appreciates), it has nice sound, and most important to my 18 year old son, the bike is so much fun to drive! I cant say enough about how easy it was to do business with Matt. Salesman Matt is honest, knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant. Matt explained every step of the process of the sale, transfer, and preparation for shipping of the bike and extra parts. He was responsive to my all of my questions. When I had difficulty procuring transport to ship the extra parts with the cycle, Matt packed the parts in boxes, weighed and measured them, in the event that shippers might be willing to transport the parts with those details. He provided exemplary customer service even though this was not a large sale, long after the bike was paid for, despite never actually meeting us. I highly recommend Matt and this dealership to anyone looking for motorsports equipment without any hesitation!!! Ive been buying parts from this place for years with no issues and didnt have the time to do some maintenance and repairs on a couple of my bikes so I dropped two bikes off 6/03/20. Was told 10 days possibly up to two weeks to be repaired. By 07/24/20 ONE bike has had oil change, fork seals, carb cleaned, battery and is ready to go ($450 labor+$150 parts) the other bike hasnt been touched because it either needs a CDI or a stator so they were waiting for another similar bike to come in so they could rob the parts and see what it was. Or so I was told. They had my bikes for almost 2 months. Never called me with an update, I always had to call and always got the run-around. I just took both bikes home and will fix myself. I wont go there again for anything.

I was coming into town to do a conference and my bike broke down about 2 1/2 hours out. I had it towed to handlebar motorsports after talking with them on the phone. They were great with allowing me to keep my bike and trailer there for the time I was in town until my parts came in. They provided services without even charging me. The staff was great to work with and very easy-going. I would stop by the shop again and when I’m in town if I ever need any maintenance.

Amazing service! Have a whole week planned of RZR riding, but had my fan quit on me which obviously put us down. Thought our week was going to be rough, but not with these guys! Jeff took care of us. Extremely fast, especially on such short notice! We literally walked in, no appointment, and he made it happen. I can not thank y’all enough. Thank God I didn’t have to buy a Talon 😉

There are some really great people that work here. This is my second new bike I have bought from them. 1st bike was a 2019 husqvarna 300 2 stroke and I just bought a 2019 Honda Africa Twin. Great deals, great people and great discounts. You cant hope for more. If you need a bike or service then this is the place to go.

It was a nice store. Great customer service with the sales guy.. we went there to get a kids dirt bike tire fixed.. we dropped it off and left it for 2 hours. We still had to wait 30 minutes for the mechanic to get done eating. $27 to get a new inner tube swapped out.

I have purchased 2 new Yamaha ATVs, a Husqvarna FE450 and CFM 800 Trail from Handlebar. In every instance the entire staff, particularly Brett Craig, has been incredibly friendly and accommodating. They have presented me with a fair deal and worked with me post-purchase on servicing my fleet of toys. I will remain loyal to this dealer as they have treated really well. I am a believer in relationships, and so are these guys!

The guy i dealt with was helpful. He didnt want to sell expensive gear if you didnt want to spend a lot. If he couldnt answer a question bout my bike he would find out right now. Second time around he knew who I was and helped me again. Havent bought parts yet so I dont know how prices are or I would put 5 stars

Not a big fan. Dropped my bike off to diagnose a problem. Called to ask about it and they said it would be ready in another day. Never was ready. Showed up after the date they said it would be ready to pick it up and they were still waiting to order the diagnostic kit. It was over a week later and I took the bike undiagnosed and they charged me for diagnostics anyways. I’m a doctor and wouldn’t charge my patients for a diagnosis I didn’t do. Go to Fun Center for better service. Handlebar edits their review and claims they charge $140 for an oil change and filter replacement when they really are hurting for cash in a pricey tourist town and will swindle you real quickly.

Here’s a rave review from an out of state guy who purchased a bike from Handlebar Motorsports: I made the mistake of thinking Durango was Dillon and then realized the bike was 6 hours further to pick up than I planned. Mike’s (in sales) integrity, attentiveness and care for the situation was amazing. They held the bike for me. They packed it up for shipment with care and skill. They checked in with me regularly to make sure the paperwork plan was smooth and efficient as could be. I couldn’t be happier with how they handled things, with me being 12 hours away. Suffered an electrical system failure on my snowmobile between Christmas/New Years which could have ended my holiday riding. The great crew at Handlebar immediately got my sled in the shop, identified the issue and got the part on order. Once the part arrived they stayed late on New Years Eve to have the machine ready for the weekend. Great customer service and product knowledge. Thank you Handlebar for getting me back on the snow!

Five solid stars for excellent service and having what I needed in stock. After being on the road for two days, my front tire developed a nasty bubble on the side and started slowly leaking. Called Handlebar Cycles in the morning and Ally dug out the odd size tire I have out of their stash. Josh in the service department took the bike in in no time and swapped it. They also replaced a missing bolt I had lost during that days ride.Thank you guys, keep up the good work.

On a recent bike trip and discovered my rear tire was down to the cords. It was 430 on a Saturday and the guys at Handlebar got me switched out and on the road again. Awesome service. Much appreciated.

During a 2 weeek ride from Michigan to Washington State, had the adjustable windshield on my ST1300 fail in an angled position. Tom and the guys at Handlebar we’re amazing. John took the bike right in, and Mark diagnosed the problem and set the windshield height for optimum visibility/functionality. Arrived at the dealership at 4:30 on a Saturday with a tire problem. Had been on the road from Canada for 4 days. Their shop closes at 5 and they reopen on Tuesday at 9 am. The owner, the sales manager and the tire technician stayed until 6:45 replacing my rear tire, plus the rotted valve stems in both tires, which were the cause of my flat rear tire. They were courteous, professional, and really, how many staff of a motorcycle staff would stay almost 2 hours after work to help out a traveler? Likely none, except for this crew in Durango Colorado. Its guys like this that restore your confidence in quality and care for the biker. 5 stars is probably appropriate for regular business hours, but these guys went beyond that. Should be 6 or 7. Im not a fan of any brand they sell, but I do not want to go back to the competition. These guys are so helpful and they listen well.

Handlebar Motorsports took in my over heated Goldwing without an appointment at 4:45 pm when they close at 5:30 pm. It was 90 degrees out and they dropped everything to pull my cooling system apart and repair it--even working overtime to get me back on the road. Their prices were good and they had a great Goldwing expert. Couldnt recommend them higher!!!

I stopped for an oil change while on route to Alaska from eastern Canada in April 2019. I was very pleased with the service and the helpful staff.

Bought a 2018 Honda ATV and have had nothing but bad experiences with the Durango store and the sister store in Farmington. My ATV was supposed to be topped up with fluids when I brought it home and it was not! I had to make two trips (I live an hour from the store!) to buy an oil filter because their parts guys could not figure it out and get me the right part. They messed up the taxes on my purchase, AND were supposed to be sending a USFS permit for my ATV and they have not. When I told the Durango store about the Farmington store not topping up fluids, they told me a bunch of dirty garbage about the Farmington store service department continually messing things up and having problems. Buyer beware, both stores are a time consuming mess. Wish Id gone to Fun Center and bought a Polaris instead!

Got my fork seals replaced and then wasnt able to ride for a half year. Went to ride and fluid was coming out of the fork and the speedometer cable had been stripped so I cant even tell how fast im going. Quantity over quality it seems.

As far as slection and things of the like, i feel stores of this nature are pretty much the same from one to the next. Nothing exceptional in that regard, but nobody has anything exceptional in that regard in my opinion.But what this store can and does do to keep customers coming back is offer phenomenal customer service. The old storw i used to frequent i hated, but this one blows it out of the water. Pribably the biggest thibg for me is that their salespeople arent trying to put me on a brand new 5 digit finncing plan. I come in for parts to maintain my old bike and i feel just as valued as the guy buying a side by side.Recommended to anyone and everyone
