Payouts for scrap metal are very, very shoty Foss sends their metals out of state to get more money but fails to honor the loyal customer base....once a month visit.
This is the only recycling yard I use they keep a clean yard and have very kind and helpful employees just be sure to separate your items out to make for quicker on load in this helps you and the staff
Kenny has always been helpful and cheerful as I bring in a variety of stuff to Foss. As an electrical contractor I bring some copper wire but also lots of junk like the aluminium frames from my old storm windows and even a brass water faucet. While you may not get rich it should help you feel good about taking care of the planet. I always keep a spot to store up my stuff to take to Foss.
Agree should be 10 stars these guys are fantastic +
This place is hot fire!
Theres a guy named Kenny there.. if it wasnt for him I would go some where else.. and if anyone up the totem pole actually sees this message you should do something for him.. at Foss in Durham... Ive seen him run two scales faster then most run one!!
I love this place
I have always had good experiences with Foss
Always friendly service and great extra cash.Know how to sort your metals before you go.
Trying to get a good price on metal dont think so for a stove all you got for it was $6 but I guess its better than nothing
I only got $5. It’s better than nothing. It’s always good to have cash back
Everyone was helpful and patient with my confusion!
Do not give these crooks your business;I took 45 lbs of clean dry cans but they arbitrarily deducted 8 lbs;I was only paid for 37lbs!
1st time customer but went two times on the same day. Great experience each time and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unlike facilities in Raleigh, the yard at Foss is flat and easily maneuverable. Highly recommend.
Fast awesome
The workers are always fast and efficient!
The other reviewer, Amanda, who admitted to being a new scrapper, did it wrong. At Foss, you take your clean metals like Brass and Copper, plus other metals, like Aluminum, computer scrap, etc, to the small scales in the shed next to the large ones you roll over.Foss always has the best prices for scrap. Unless you go at the last minute or Saturday, it is usually quick in and out. Never had a problem there.
The people there are great, good customer service and the best prices in town.
Awful experience. Ive been trying to get my car towed off the lot and they have given me the run-around for days. Im not sure how they are with their other services but using them as a tow service is ILL-ADVISED. Unreliable. Unprofessional. Unwilling.
Always professionals
Always helpful
The price for aluminum is not good
My first hard lesson as a new scrapper. I pulled onto the scales at 4,000 pounds, unloaded white goods, pulled back onto scales at 3,600 and unloaded clean metals. My final weigh - 2,900 - What did I leave with? $40 and a reciept saying I was helped by Lisa and only showing 314 pounds of steel and 36 pounds of white goods. My copper and brass were not recorded or paid for. Tried to talk to the office but the door was locked at 1:30 pm. The gentleman, Lisa had already helped enough.I might expect that treatment from a corporate employed auto mechanic who thinks he can pull the wool over my eyes. Not from a reputable local business.
Bad customer service. The Lady on the phone was very impatient and rude.
No good scam and robbery
Horrible service and attitudes been there several times will never go back
Worst scrap yard in America!!!
Today it was ok
It is a good place for recycling
