I was so happy and encouraged when the people helping were super nice and friendly, always wishing me a nice day and making me feel welcome, they were super patient and friendly when I had questions. The people there are very friendly. Also got what I needed.

Great sale going on! Joann’s has everything you need for crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting, drawing, painting and so on.They also have a list of art projects in store and many others listed online. Everyone should at least try one. Get your creativity going.Plenty of parking, too!

This is my second experience. Ive recently recently become interested in upholstering Old chairs that you get from Goodwill and putting new cushions and material on them. Is this a very different in Joanns but it works very efficiently. the number of coupons that are given in store at Im sorry online as well as in the app reduce the price so much that its almost a steel. I think that my focus will get some OT non doing Upholstery and it will get much better and I will probably use Joanns as my vendor and/or the supplier.

Customer service here is great. i called to see if a specific item was in stock, but was told to wait cause it would be on sale for $100 cheaper.. really appreciated that, seriously. only thing is the store setup is really weird and kind of hard to find things at times.

Got curbside pick up and the worker wasn’t wear a mask! She had a face shield on which doesn’t protect 🙈. Wouldn’t go back there. I thought getting curbside pick up would be safer- not convinced anymore. Ironic that everyone is buying fabric there to make masks and the workers aren’t wearing them.

Got some great fabric to redo the window valance and it shop was easy to walk around and the staff was extremely helpful with my sizing. They were spot on!!

Horrible attitude from fabric cutting employee-young long hair brunette who always behaves like shed rather not be working there. Sighs when i asked for help, curt. I go to hobby lobby instead who throws in 1/4 yard if theres wrinkled fabric and a lot friendlier. Joann fabrics should know they are losing a whole lot of business from me who shops for fabric every other day.

Fabric and crafts. Patterns never on hand. Coupons are mainly from online. Not great in my opinion. Also, fairly dirty floors.

Always love it here. The associates are always willing to help, the store is kept up, and the experience is always what it needs to be. Today, two associates help give recommendations on what to buy for our project and encouraged us, even though we were brand new to this type of crafting and had no confidence. My daughter and I stayed until closing and got everything we needed. Great store !

This store has employed the most kind, patient, warm, friendly and helpful staff. I am so grateful for all the help ! They literally are awesome. I didnt know how to find a Gütermann thread 10 and 02, so i called the store. As soon as someone answered i said aww you sound so pleasant and she said Thank You! c: Her name is Sue, if you truly think of going above and beyond she is the one! All of them are great but she took time and even called back with the product number to ensure i can find it online. She also grabbed the amount i was going to order, for pickup so it could ready soon! I went in today for the sale on Quarters and Whoa whoa wow! It was not crowed it was calming if that makes sense. The lady at the registered helped me navigate the store and know where everything was (NEVER been there before). She also told me about the sale, also the lady at the cutting center was so patient with me. Since i typically only order online Ive never done this she explained the different cuts and the length. She also explained i didnt have to get the full yard for the sale! Overall yes please shop there! They are nice and kind, with all that is going on in the world this was truly a treat and im ever so grateful! Thank You! all for all you did c:

The clerks were friendly and quick as usual. The sales were amazing. The only awkward thing was the placement of some of the Cricut items. I was just about to leave when I noticed the Cricut Joy supplies and accessories in the middle of an end cap isle which was in an entirely different section of the store. Very awkward placement. I walked around 15-20 minutes looking for Joy items and trying to decide if I could make accessories for other machines work.

Disappointed. Went to buy 10 yards of fabric. They did not have the color I wanted and I asked if they could order it. The employee said No, I asked why and they said only with an item number. With a 10 second search on my phone I showed them them item number from the joann website. With a sigh, the employee pulled out their device and within 5 seconds proclaimed that color was no longer available. I decided to purchase 10 yards of a color they had in stock. The bolt had an extra 9 inches at the end...rather than give it to me they suggested I buy it at a 75 percent discount and expressed exasperation at the possibility of cutting off the 9in. I agreed. I then went to pay for my fabric and use one of the dozen and daily 50 percent off coupons they send to my email constantly and was told it was only good on regular price items and since my fabric was 30 percent off I could not use it. I asked if they could take 50 percent of the regular price and they simply said No. The store was not crowded, I never waited in a line, there was never anyone waiting behind me, I wore a mask, was polite and kept my distance. I expressed my dissatisfaction and left with out purchasing anything. the employees didnt care about me and all those coupons are just scams to get you in the store.

There was no air at all they didnt even have the doors open or fans or anything. I felt like i was in an attic suffocating and they said it would be at least a month like that

The efficient monopoly of the fabric industry - wide selection of needle craft and fine arts materials at moderately to selectively expensive prices. You need at least 90 minutes to shop for bargains - and unless you cant find it anywhere else, ONLY buy patterns when Joann has a sale! But their customer service continues to be excellent.

I have spent a lot of time at many Joann locations and was very underwhelmed by this one. It is consistently dirty (I dropped a bolt of fabric on the floor and when i picked it up, it was filthy), the shelves are poorly stocked and messy. The staff are usually snippy and always seem to act like you are a major inconvenience for asking questions. I was looking for some flannel and easily 75% of the bolts were down to mere remnants. They were also sloppily organized and I kept finding differrent types of fabric in odd places.Its a real bummer because I LOVE the Joann chain and shop there for almost all my sewing needs.

This review is a combo of online and this location.1) after placing items in the shopping cart via the app back in April, it messed up and would not allow me to open the shopping cart therefore loosing all the searching I had done. Had to place order on the website so missed the chance to get discount for my first online purchase.2) I placed my order 4/26. Your customer service page said it may take 6-10 business days before something is shipped to my home. Way past that deadline.3) rubbing salt in the wound I keep getting emails encouraging me to order online. Why would I do that when it’s been 24 days and I haven’t even gotten any status updates as stated on my confirmation email except....4) an item has been removed from my order, and I couldn’t get it from curbside either because everything I wanted, wasn’t available at this location. Items they left in my order aren’t even mask making supplies, they are for quilting, but I still can’t get them in 24 days.Getting very disappointed in Joann’s

I was very disappointed that the staff were not required to wear masks. I was asked to be sure I stayed 6 feet away from the cutting table ( I was wearing a mask and only stepped across the 6 foot line to put my fabric on the table), yet they had staff restocking in many aisles, not wearing masks, that you could not pass without bring within a foot or two of. Then at checkout, the clerk had a mask on but was wearing it below her nose. I held my phone to show the coupon code for her to scan. She took the phone from my hand to scan -- no gloves and improper wearing of her mask. The barrier at checkout was of no use with this unsafe behavior of the clerk. 😥 I guess I wont be back. Its too risky for health reasons.

This isnt the nicest Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts store Ive been in... It wasnt well lit, it had a bit of an odor, the fabric section was just all out of sorts (fabric bolts partially unrolled and sticking out from the shelves), the aisles were not well marked, and it felt like its been in need of a deep clean for A WHILE! The lady at the cutting counter was nice enough, but another employee seemed like they would rather be anywhere else in the world.

I don’t know about other Joanns, but this location certainly does not seem to understand what a curbside order pickup is supposed to look like. We called when we arrived as directed and listened to an annoyingly long closure message before someone picked up the phone. I gave them my name and was hung up on. I called back and said that we’d been disconnected, only to be told by a sassy black man that they did NOT need to know what I was driving, only my name so I could get out of my car and take it from them when they brought it out. I don’t know about you, but my understanding of curbside pickup is that you let them know you’re there and they bring it out to your RUNNING car. Needless to say, I’m a little peeved and plan on using other methods in the future.

This is one of the best places in Durham to get fabric and yarn and all kids of craft supplies and more. They have tons of amazing coupons available daily on their website or through email if you sign up. You can always get 40% off a regular priced item which is a huge discount. The fabric selection is massive and beautiful. The yarn selection is also big and beautiful. If you are crafty or want to take craft classes or love unique home decor you have to check this place out.

I LOVE Joanns, always! This particular location was well kept, organized, and clean. The only reason Im giving it a 4 🌟 is because the staff was not the friendliest of people. No smile, no hello. Maybe just an off day, but customer service and courtesy is a huge star decider in my book.

I needed elastic band to make permanent shoe strings for my son. We have become weary of shoe strings coming undone often. So the Lord inspired an idea, get elastic bands. I like to go into a store that has exactly what I am looking for on the first try. The strategy was a success. Now he would like all strings replaced with the elastic bands !

I love to go into JoAnn and look at the new fabrics and patterns.Sometimes, they are a bit pricey until they have markdowns and sales. They have a good selection of fabrics, patterns, crafts items and etc.

There is no staff around to answer questions. In order to get an answer, I’ve had to stand in line at the cutting center. When fabric is selected, it takes forever to get it cut (take a number and wait for number to be called). There needs to be staff circulating in the store, available to help customers and answer questions. The store is crowded and messy. I gave it one star because quilting fabric is reasonably priced if using coupons and there’s a fair selection of quilting fabric.

Visited today. all employees did not follow the local Durham NC law of wearing face coverings while in public. there wasnt anyone sanitizing carts nor were there any wipes to do so. no sanitizer for hands. witnessed employees not social distanced and one person coughed into their open hand. employee at check out grabbed my phone for scanning of coupons after I told her I didnt want her to touch my phone. no sanitizer gel at check out stations. I was dismayed that Joann and the local manager doesnt care about the safety of their employees or customers. Ill remember this always and choose to shop somewhere else.

I bought a navy blue basket weave fabric for a sofa proyet, but unfortunately they did not have enough the day of the purchase, so I had to make a special order. For my good fortune, Kathy assisted me, and all I can tell about her is that she is very knowledgeable, reliable, and courteous woman. Great staff! I have never purchased fabric or done anything arts and crafts before. The staff here helped me find the right fabric, and even gave me tips on how to work with it! Highly recommended.

I love Joannes fabrics. Always find such great deals there, pleasant people that are always helpful. Only issue is the parking. No handicap parking and the lot is always full no matter what time of the day I go. That strip mall is always busy.

JoAnn fabrics had exactly what I wanted and at a reasonable price.

The cashier was so nice about helping me get the best value with my coupons, even though she couldnt use the one I had on a sale item. Totally fair. Other craft stores sometimes try to argue their own coupon policy, so I always return to the ones who appreciate that Im trying to save. Its a smaller store, but they have a good enough selection. Wish they had a bit more, but they make up for it with great service!

I loved all of there supplies and opportunities to get so many things all in one store there is craft, tie die, yarn, fabric, and home stuff. The thing where it gets 4 stars and not 5 is because the prices were a little too high. But my over all experience was it was very good and fun to shop at.

Leah not only assisted me in finding the fabric I needed but continued to look for a better choice after I had selected one and brought it to me. This business is not supporting safety precautions to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Although all of the customers were wearing face masks when I was in the store, none of the staff were protected. When questioned, each said was their choice, and none were concerned about protecting others who might be vulnerable. Enter at your own risk.

Large selection and very friendly staff. I went in to get fabric and cosplay foam after going to like 3 different stores. When I saw they had the cosplay foam I was so happy cause I couldn’t find it anywhere else. I also purchased some fabric and the woman working the cutting station was so helpful and kind as I had no idea how much fabric I needed I showed her a picture of what I wanted to do and she helped me measure out what I needed.

While all customers were wearing masks and the store was restricting access to ensure small numbers of people in the store, none of the employees were wearing masks. We felt uncomfortable, and would have preferred that they showed more concern for the health of our community.

I went here to purchase fabric in order to alter a valance I purchased. They had the perfect fabric and color. They sell quality merchandise and they have a great variety.

Worst store to go to. Had to buy my materials for my brand online because I was backed up on orders. I bought a printer and a heat press. Went to go pick it up and they had canceled the heat press “by accident” and told me they’ll “hold it for tomorrow” went the next day and it was sold out online so I went to the store thinking that they had it on hold for me and they didn’t. Highly upset because I still haven’t got my money back and I don’t even want to do business with them again !

On June 10, the store in Durham NC has no masks for employees or shields for customers. Employees claim they are not required to wear masks. The City of Durham says otherwise. Our county in particular is experiencing a surge in cases, its disappointing that Joann Fabrics is unwilling to help protect our health.

The best customer service in the fabric industry locally.

Rude workers, and they did not have on masks, created a very complicated, long and drawn out procedure for a return, never got a refund for fabric ordered online. They told me I had to go thru the website and the website wont respond.

I am very disappointed that we no longer have a good fabric store in Durham. Joanns is more of a craft shop than a fabric shop. Its not a good store for fine fabrics such as linen, Jersey, or wool for making suits or dresses. It is good for quilting and other crafts.

This is a fairly small store, but big enough to offer a decent number of options and items to choose from for all your crafting needs. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the sales are pretty good. They have a pretty good selection of fabric, including quilting fabric, and batting options. (And the bathrooms are clean and open to the public moms!)Ive recently started teaching myself to quilt, and was able to buy a couple of books that helped me learn. In addition, I took a quilting class that I enjoyed very much. The instructor was so patient, and took the time to help each individual in the class. The classes are reasonably priced, and they offer discount coupons from time to time making them even more affordable.The only negative comment I could make about Joanne Fabric is that its reallllly easy to spend way to much money! Haha!! I really do like this store and all it has to offer.
