The team is very willing to help people. They are courteous and kind to the customers. The manager is very personable and considerate of his customers. Having worked at a UPS Store previously I know that there can be a wait time but they do their best to work as quickly as possible here.
I had gone to FedEx with an extremely large package that required the use of a dolly. They sent me to UPS because they said that is where my return labels were from. After getting to UPS and waiting behind a crazy customer, I learned that my large package was actually for FedEx. Haley and Vicki were incredibly helpful in helping me pack up my other package and joked with me about the experience. I would highly recommend!
It was super quick and easy to ship several packages. The staff were attentive, pleasant, and helpful. I was shocked that my packages would arrive prior to Christmas with just 3 days left in the holiday week. The price was also very reasonable for the heavy items I was shipping. This location is the best!
This store is the best, the employees are super efficient, and get you in and out as fast as they can. Vicky was very professional, polite and a joy. She notarized my items, and shipped them overnight. They are very strick on covid protocols. 3 people at a time, must wear mask. store was very clean. Highly Recommended.
TL;DR: Dropped off package at UPS store on 8/20; it was not actually shipped out until 9/3.I visited this location on 8/20 to mail a birthday present to my sister-in-law. The person in the store was very helpful, printing the label for me and boxing up my package. The estimated delivery date on the tracking slip was 8/24.As of 8/26 (her birthday) she had not received the package yet. I checked the tracking, and the only status was Label Created. I called the UPS store and was told by the manager its in transit, something happened with the packages the day you were in here so the tracking wont get updated until its on its Destination Scan. I thought that seemed odd, but I figured he knew what he was talking about.Fast forward to today: I went on the UPS site to initiate a claim for a lost package, and thought Id check the tracking one last time. Lo and behold: I have an In Transit status. Evidently UPS Durham finally decided to actually ship my package, 2 weeks after I dropped it off with them (and they - themselves - labeled and taped up the box).No idea where its been sitting for the past 2 weeks. Would love to know.
Very bad experience. Ive never been to this location before. When I called to inquire about an upcoming delivery, I was placed on hold for 22 minutes before the lady hang up on me.During the hold, periodically the lady came back to say hello.... and go back on hold but ignore me as if she could not hear me. I called back, and the same lady hang up on me pretending she could not hear me. A third call and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, she finally responded to say there was no supervisor around and claimed she could not hear me... but now when I mention contacting her supervisor suddenly she can hear me?That seems suspicious, but maybe it was an unlucky coincidence. I was very polite throughout the experience. I think she didnt know how to answer my question and instead of telling me that, I was avoided/ignored. Very disappointing experience.
This store is amazing! All the staff there are very nice and always willing to help. Definitely my go to store! Check them out.
Always good service, in and out quickly
We love our local UPS store! Even during the pandemic this team is quick and efficient and provides service with lots of friendly conversation. Anthony is fantastic and has been a helpful resource for all the years I’ve lived in Durham. Thank you for everything!
They only allow three people in the store at a time during COVID. The lady who helped me was wearing her mask properly. She made a fourth person wait outside. Really appreciate the store making the visit feel as safe as possible during the pandemic.
Nice office with attentive staff! There are times where theres a line, but its usually because the workers are trying to help someone. Always had a good experience here.
Very slow service during COVID-19, avoid at all costs if possible.
Love the people here! Always a great experience and always quick!
Had a few questions about renting a mailbox. The staff person who assisted me was very sweet, professional, and helpful.
Horrible service. This store has a website with a Make an Appointment function. I used it to make an appointment with a notary public. I received a confirmation email that said:This is a reminder for your upcoming visit to The UPS Store. See below for details:Date and Time: Tuesday, March XX, 2020 - 10:30AM EDTLocation: The UPS Store #6135811 NINTH ST DURHAM, NC 27705Appointment Type: Notary ServicesConfirmation Number: XXXXXXXHI arrived on time and the gentlemen who worked there said the notary was not in and that I had to call first to confirm. But the website didnt mention this. So I wasted my valuable time. Im never going back there again.I recommend Durham Pack and Ship at 732 9th St, Durham, NC 27705.
815 and still not open
Went into the Ninth Street Store this a.m. I met the kindest, most professional men & explained to them how kind they were!! The manager was on point making sure every detail was being addressed. Anthony, Troy & Lawrence, my hat off to you guys because you make this business GREAT!!!! Looking forward to my next visit!!!!!
I had to return a package to amazon. Went right in, gave them the code and was done. Its a small place but clean and effective.
Always friendly staff who go out of their way to help you. Youre going to pay a little more than you might from using the UPS website but thats how they make their money. Parking can be a headache but you can use the one on the side near the Fair Trade Store.
Anthony is an amazing worker there. Best customer service I have ever seen, seriously. He was helping 3 people at a time. Place was busy but he kept it all moving forward. I give this my highest review. My first review ever haha.
The staff were super helpful in returning my Amazon purchases.
I opted to give this store two rather than one star(s) due to the friendly nature of their employees. I was grossly overcharged for their services, though. I was charged almost $5 to mail an over-sized envelope and $18 to mail a shoebox-sized, light weight package via 7-day FedEx ground. When I questioned him about the high price (as I have mailed similar items at the Hillandale and Erwin shipping stores for much cheaper) he responded, well, theres sales tax. Yes, there is, however not to the extent to drive the price more than double of what I normally pay. To boot, the envelope had a delivery date of Wednesday and did not arrive until Friday, and the box was sent without any sort of tracking number. This is the second time Ive had a negative cost/price experience at this location and so thought I would leave feedback for others to be aware.
Really easy transaction will be back to ship more things.
The guys here do their best and are always polite and helpful. They have a lot of patience for sure.
Guy behind the counter was rude. Had a shirt on that said manager. No greeting when you come in nor did he ask what I needed. Just pointed to the scale and said put it there
Not a good experience from the notary and from Maurie, the store owner. Two days ago I took a legal document in to be notarized. I paid the $5 for this service and continued on to downtown Raleigh to file this document at Wake County Justice Court. When my turn came, I was advised that the form was incomplete - that the notary hadnt signed and dated it. In fairness to the notary, it turns out the form I printed off was missing part of the section the notary needed to complete. The part requiring his signature and date. Surely he realized, as a professional notary, this document that he returned to me was incomplete. That he hadnt signed or dated it. Turned away in downtown Raleigh, I had to track down a new form and then find a notary to do the job correctly. The charge again was $5.I took the incomplete, rejected form back to the Ninth St UPS store - along with the receipt - and requested my money be refunded. The one star this review gets is for the person on the other side of the counter. He was polite, he listened to my situation and he called Maurie, the owner, to make sure he was handling the situation correctly. He had told me initially that he could not return the $5. Before this gentleman was done describing the situation, I could hear Maurie saying No! Several times he said no. I asked the gentleman for the phone so I could talk to Maurie. Not a pleasant man. I did not yell, I was not unreasonable. I just wanted my $5 back for an incomplete job performed by his notary. He snapped at me Were not Walmart! We dont just take stuff back!Oh, he did offer to provide an exchange service for the next time I need something notarized. It had been 7 years since my last need for a notary. I do not need the service again in the foreseeable future.Im out 5 bucks, hes out any future business from me, and hopefully youll be able to find another business besides this one to go to with your needs.
Dont Take Passport Photos here - they dont have good lighting. My photos are rejected, after spending 15$ and you dont get good photos. Other services are fine at this place thats why marked 2.
Hours have been changed for COVID-19 but not updated yet with Google Maps.
Every single staff here is competent and attentive! Always happy with their service!
Very patient and professional people!!! Not one, but every one that I have experienced!!!
The 9th street UPS store is operated by some good people. Ive sent items from this location several times- they are always friendly and helpful.Just how exceptional they are became clear after they helped me with a problem over Christmas:While in NY City, I mailed a package from a UPS store there. The NY store folks seemed impatient with me and hated to be bothered by me as a customer. Nevertheless, I shipped my package from NY to arrive at the Durham 9th Street UPS so I could pick it up when I returned home. The NY folks didnt call ahead to the Durham store (as they were apparently supposed to) and also did not tell me that there was a in-store pickup fee for the service I was using.Fast forward to today when my packages arrived. The manager, Anthony, explained the administrative snafu and worked with me about the pickup fee since the NY store hadnt communicated with me. Despite the mistakes of another store, the 9th street UPS store treated me fairly and made it right. So, not only is this store conveniently located for sending and receiving, but the people who work here are professional and courteous. Ill use their services again and I would recommend that others try them out, too.
Extremely quick and very friendly.
Great service
Very helpful, kind, I had a great experince n look forward to going back
In January, I paid to have legal documents notarized at this store. After getting confirmation from the employee that the documents would be in Boone, NC the next day, I paid for for next-day deliveryHowever, the next day, I received a call from Boone that the documents had not arrived. The UPS 800 number told me they had no record of my shipment. The tracking number from the UPS store on 9th street was never logged into the global system. That afternoon I returned to the UPS on 9th street. I filed a claim for reimbursement for the overnight shipment and had them notarize another set of documents which I took to FedEx on 9th street for next-day delivery.I returned to the store on 9th street four more time to get my refund. Each time I was told that the cheque was in the mail. The documents sent by UPS were delivered to the office in Boone - but seven days later. The UPS documents were redundant to the set Id sent by FedEx.As of today, eight weeks following the business exchange, I have not been reimbursed by the franchise UPS owner on 9th street nor from the UPS corporate office.Mid-to-low level staff apologized for the loss of my package, the delay in reimbursement for services not received and the loss of time to track my package and reimbursement. Silence only from senior management.Shameful!
This place is the best... extremely happy and helpful staff.
Showed up a few minutes before they closed to drop off a package and the guy had already locked the door. He looked at me through the glass and then ignored me. I then knocked on the glass and he ignored me till I left. On 9/9/19.
Use this location often staff very friendly and helpful.
The most disgusting store. It is the same owner of the one in ERWIN RD, there is a thief there. My package was stolen, they faked my signature.DO NOT GO THERE! HORRIBLE!
They scam people if you have to print and ship notarized documents. I signed and notarized documents for a house closing and one of the docs that I know I signed showed up blank. Make sure the envelope is sealed before you leave the store.
Very helpful. I was in and out
Super fast, very friendly, Anthony is awesome!
Horrible store. I had four packages delivered from Amazon too small, to medium, this owner is charging me $10 each for the small ones and $25 each for the large ones. My next call is to Amazon who said nothing about this.
0 service!
Quick & accommodating service! Great location to use!
