Pincho Loco is an eclectic ice cream joint that has that hole-in-the-wall feel with fantastic flavor options that are a great mix between traditional and daring. Their menu is a bit much to take in and is pieced together over multiple boards so its kind of a fun game to figure out what you want.I ended up getting their Mangonada since I was craving mangos and spice and this hit the spot. It had a good amount of fresh chopped mangos and sorbet with a tamarind chili straw. Very photogenic too!Aside from ice cream, they also have desserts ready to-go such as rice pudding, tres leches, flan, cake, and more! It seems to be one of those places that will have random goodies to choose from based on what they feel like making so check it out!

The ice cream is locally made and includes some unique flavors such as Honey Roasted Peanut Butter, Vanilla Salted Caramel, Kahlua, and a selection of other alcohol-laced flavors, and sorbets. In addition, there are traditional paletas (popsicles), imaginative ice cream sandwiches, and other sweet treats.I’ve been there twice during Covid. In January, you could not eat inside. Last weekend, there was a limit of 10 customers inside.Even with restrictions, we felt welcomed, appreciated, and well-taken care of. The owner was happy to describe the items and help make a decision (come on, there are so many good choices!).Highly recommend!

Absolutely the best ice cream place I have ever been to. The owners are the nicest people and make you feel like family whenever you enter. I’ve been going there for years now and will continue coming any chance I get. I usually get the Banana Pudding scoop, but there is no wrong choice. They also have popsicles and ice cream sandwiches which are absolutely delicious as well. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by, you will have regrets of not trying it sooner :)

Pincho Loco is my new go-to place in Durham for both a quick treat and for ice cream cakes (birthdays, graduation, etc). They have very creative flavors - a couple favorite ice cream flavors include margarita and kahlua (ice cream with a kick!). My absolute favorite however is the mango fruit bar. There are fresh mango pieces in it and you can tell they use real fruit rather than artificial flavors that I find in most places. The ice cream cakes are the best Ive had, most recently a vanilla ice cream cake with fresh strawberries. Would highly recommend this place if youre in the triangle area and craving dessert - one of my favorites!

Locally owned and serving local beer now too! They have Mexican pastries and an assortment of cakes, cupcakes and pudding. Of course the main attraction is their wonderful ice cream. I recommend trying one of they custom floats, like tequila ice cream and pineapple soda float. They will work with you to suit your tastes. I highly recommend this place to all.

I took my brother and sister out for ice cream yesterday after our picnic and discovered this place. Really great laid back feel, fun people, and the options and ice cream were all great. I had a refreshing mango shake, my brother two scoops, and my sister got the mangolada and a soursop popsicle. Everything was tasty. Definitely going back!

Service was good. The lady who was working was patient and nice. We got the ice cream with he churro. The ice cream flavors were good, but the churros felt a little lackluster. I will definitely be back thought to try one of their other flavors! Highly recommend coming and trying this place out!!

This place has the best churros ever. Theyre always warm and goes great with a delicious vanilla ice cream. Their customer service is the best, the gentleman that is on the front is such a sweetheart. I highly recommend you check them out.

The man who serves ice cream at Pincho Loco is one of the absolute SWEETEST human beings Ive had the pleasure of encountering (perhaps there is more than one scooper but this is who I saw on 3/11/21 and 1/5/21 - yes, I even kept track of the dates because both visits were so memorable). The ice cream is as fantastic as the service is, and thats saying something. I really enjoyed their dark chocolate hazelnut, as well as bourbon truffle and salted caramel truffle.

Yesterday I ordered an Oreo popsicle dipped in chocolate and it was SO GOOD. Wow. Full Oreos in there!!! Amazing flavor and texture. I will definitely be back.

I believe in giving an honest review (good or bad). Unfortunately, this is not going to be a good review. We went here about a week ago and had the churo sundae. Two big problems.First, the churos are supposed to be light and crunchy. The churos in this sundae were neither. They were VERY chewy instead (almost to the point of being inedible).Second, the ice cream didnt seem like ice cream. It didnt have the consistency of normal ice cream in that it was very sticky. The small plastic spoon the provided made it very difficult scooping out the ice cream (they should provide the small, flat wooden spoons instead). We ate maybe two bites and threw the rest away. All-in-all a very disappointing experience.

Legitimately the best ice cream shop I’ve found in Durham. I’ve never found a shop that could make tequila ice cream taste good, but they managed to make it taste great. They also offer other 21+ ice creams, and other great flavors. They also offer ice cream cakes, and many other frozen treats!

One secret I want to share is that Pincho Loco has the finest Banana Pudding Ice Cream in North Carolina. Vanilla, cream, banana, a hint of baking soda, spices.Light custard texture. Capture the character of this Southern dessert in a large shake, fresh whipped cream, cherry if you like, and let yourself be there.Oh ! and they have other flavors, but I cant seem to get past this masterpiece.

I FINALLY made it to Pincho Loco last week! It was delicious! We got cookies + cream in a waffle cone and banana pudding in a waffle cone. If you like a lot of pieces of cookies and bits in your ice cream, this is your place! I generally find myself wishing there was more but not here! My banana pudding was loaded with pieces of nilla wafers and in no way was that depressing!I will definitely be back to try more flavors and the popsicles!

Love this place! They have great flavors. Many options beyond ice cream, baked goods, traditional pudding options, glass bottled sodas, etc.. Just took my kids there, very nice time.They also have cream spiked with alchohol for adults - awesome! They serve local beer.

I want to start off by saying the customer service was great! The selection that they have is so amazing. I had a strawberry and banana fresco treat which is similar to a parfait. OMG! Sooo delicious! I have to go back because I wanted to try everything.

Great place to grab some ice cream. The lady working there was nice, helpful and even tho they were a little busy she was efficient. My son dropped his cone and when I went back up to get him another one she said no charge. Considering my son dropped it, no fault of anyone but his accident I thought that was pretty nice and with the few minutes to leave a review.

The banana pudding ice cream was really good- my grandmother would have approved! My husbands mangonada popsicle (mango and mixed fruit with hot sauce!) is something I never imagined. The spicy portion has a real kick, but is balanced by cold fruit. In winter, the warm rice pudding is my favorite. So many fun flavors to try! On top of all that, Pincho Loco is run by the nicest people. I definitely recommend it!

Awesome ice cream almost as good as the people running it and the authentic Latino experience that is present from the decor to music to even the employees. I was raised in Mexico as well as lived in a border city for most of my life outside of that, but stepping in to this establishment makes me forget Im living in the east coast more than a thousand miles from home. If I could give it more stars I would. Keep up the great work!

Easily Durhams best ice cream. For me, this place is better than The Parlor, which is also quite good. Pincho has some unique flavors you wont find anywhere else, and their coconut is phenomenal.

This is a great place to go because they don’t just have ice cream. They also have paletas, pastries, pudding and other desserts. They have traditional Mexican flavors as well as traditional American ice cream. It’s really family friendly and the staff are great!

We were greeted with a smile! The parlor is small but has adequate seating. Only bad side is the seating could use some cushion. Although there was a line, the service was quick. The prices were reasonable ..$-2...depending what you ordered. The ice cream was firm and surroundings clean...not soft and refrozen as some other parlors look. This was my first time there. I recommend the churro sundae. It was DELICIOUS!!!! I chose creamy strawberry ice cream with huge strawberry pieces. It was topped with whip cream, caramel, and a warm sugar and cinnamon churro cut in thirds. I opted to have fresh strawberries put on top. I loved it!! I will visit again! Attire: casual...families and local students were present.

They have a great selection of flavors for everybody. This is a great place. From outside it does not look especial, but you need to try one of their popsicles, they are amazing. Also we got an Icecream cake of salted caramel, it was great. Parking in the area can be a little tricky though.

This place is warm and friendly, despite having cool treats. They are a neighborhood place where the owners actually remember you and appreciate your business.
