Refused to honor AAA battery warranty. My battery is within replacement warranty period. My car was not starting for well over 6 months, whenever I let it sit for more than 48 hours - doesnt retain charge. Been managing by disconnecting the battery when not in use even for a day. I first verified that there was no issue with the car - alternator supplies a healthy voltage and parasitic drain is negligible. Called AAA main number, and they asked me to bring my car to this AAA garage. The guy handling repairs was trying to deflect from the get go. He first said they would need to keep the car till they could reproduce and verify the issue, which I could not agree to since I did not have other transportation. They then did what was claimed to be a load test and claimed that everything was fine with the battery - flat refused to honor the warranty. I dont even trust that the proper load was applied, since the performance numbers they showed in the receipt didnt sound realistic to me. Huge waste of my time/effort, for something worth barely over $100 (I drove straight to buy a new battery and replaced myself). But it looks like skimping on a battery replacement is worth much more to them than their reputation and customers good will.Please stay away from this place, and from AAA batteries.

Pierre Torres is the one who finally resolved my car issue. My family owe him a great deal for his patient and technical expertise.I left my car to the previous manger, Christian, for AC work. He suggested to change compressor. I was okay with it. In the process, he ripped the AC controlling wire. But Christian told me that blend-door is broken and I need to find one outside since the company doesnt make this car any longer and dealer doesnt have it. I looked for it for six month without any luck. He told me until i find the blend-door, the mechanics can set the temperature either to AC or Heat. To change from one to another, i need to go to the mechanics to switch back. With 3 kids, not a easy thing to manage.Last time I went back, I luckily get to meet Pierre and I was told that Christian is no longer there. After hearing my cars issue, Pierre told me to find a controller wire NOT the BLEND-DOOR. I found the controller wire in the dealership in Florida and brought back to Pierre (AAA in East Brunswick). Next day both the AC and HEAT was working.If it was not for Pierre, I would have no choice but to buy a new car.Thank you Pierre and AAA, East Brunswick.Note: I almost never write any review; but it would unfair to Pierre and AAA if I didnt write this one.

I had 2 cars serviced there very recently and customer service was amazing, always helpful and honest. Both of my cars needed major repair/maintenance including a timing belt and the price was fair. They explained what needed to be done and why. I will definitely be going back there for auto services!

Santiago, the manager of the automotive department here, really went out of his way to help me!I was in the process of purchasing a used vehicle, sight unseen. The pictures and description all looked great, but it had some odd-looking maintenance history records on the Carfax report. The maintenance had been done at this service center. To be honest, I wasnt really expecting to get much help when I called, being that I wasnt the owner of the vehicle just yet, and was just trying to make sure I wasnt getting a bum deal.I explained my situation to Santiago, and he said, Sure, thats no problem, I can help you with that!. I was pretty shocked that not only was he willing to help me, but that he seemed genuinely happy to do so! Especially all without really any benefit to him - thats just so rare these days.Santiago pulled up the vehicles records, and explained to me what the services had been. I was very relieved and happy to hear that the unusually frequent services that were performed, ended up being that the previous owner was just very meticulous in taking care of the vehicle. I ended up purchasing a beautiful new to me car, that was cared for and pampered by its previous owner - a second owners dream!This is what excellent customer service is, imo. Santiago sees the big picture, in that if you treat people right and go above and beyond for them, even if theyre not a current customer, it will have a long-term very positive effect on your business and reputation. If I or someone I know is ever in need of a car care center in the area, this would be my first choice, without a doubt!Thanks again, Santiago! This place has always been one of the most professional Auto Care Centers I have ever been to. The staff are extremely helpful and care about the problems that youre experiencing with your vehicle. They also work with you to find the best, most cost-effective solution for your vehicle. As for their Road Side Assistance, they helped me out of a couple of jams when my car was experiencing problems at night and I couldnt get home. You cant go wrong with Auto Care from this place.

I went in to get tires put on and i came out with my brakes making a grinding noise and barely working. I never asked Maurice to touch my brakes, but he said he “checked them” and now all of a sudden i need new pads and rotors asap. My brakes were perfectly fine before he messed with them. Nobody let this dude touch your car

Do not come to this center! AAA is a rip off.I am extremely disappointed with the service at your 260 NJ-18, East Brunswick, NJ 08816. My teenage son had an appointment at noon for a tire patch. Service center staff tried to rip us off. This is evidenced by the tire replacement quote they gave my teen son was $100 over the MAZDA dealer price a few blocks away. I saved $150 by getting the exact tire installed at a tire retailer.My college freshman teen boy appears to be an Indian. In our region of NJ Indians are thought of as poor drivers and naive. Service center personnel totally took advantage of him. And they neglected to give him paperwork to document the proposed service. I further was disrespected as a Black Woman. Would your service center have argued with a man?They totally tried to steal from my NJIT college student son, by keeping the Yokohama tire and Mazda rim. The car has under 2000 miles on it so the tire was new. When I called and cancelled the order and informed the rude man who worked with him that I want the tire back, cancel the service order, shame on him for taking advantage of a teenage boy. His service consultant was rude and tried to berate me. I told him that the car had not been driven flat so he was lying to accuse my son of driving on a flat tire. More importantly, once I told him to the conversation is over, cancel the order and return the tire and rim, he should have stopped arguing. This was totally disrespectful.When we arrived at the store, the chubby black man refused me my tire until I talked to a manager. I informed him that I was not interested in talk, just my tire. I could get it cheaper installed for $100 less at the Mazda dealer down the street. He told me by law they had to document the refusal (an obvious lie). I informed him that I will file a complaint with BBB and NJ consumer over this blatant rip off a consumer. His sales pressure was disrespectful when I clearly stated no conversation, just the tire. It took me several tries to get him to stop talking and just give me my tire and rim. For the record, I was driving my Subaru Forrester.Hopefully, AAA will train their service personnel to honor a member’s request and just return their property. Once the member states there is no more conversation, just move on. AAA employees also show a need for cultural sensitivity training when dealing with young drivers and Asians heritage members. As a Black woman, I also feel my needs were ignored.This negative experience is making me reconsider continuing my decades of AAA membership. Roadside is free to us since we have new cars. Plus, GEICO is cheaper. Travel discounts are often better from the hotels and airlines. Hard to find a restaurant that will give AAA discount. I would not recommend using AAA service centers if they are cheating people.AAA has not lived up to its mission of providing good value and honest car repairs.SHAME ON AAA.

Grace, the travel agent deserves kudos. She was helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to give me additional information to make my travel plans a much more exciting experience.I had my car repaired in their Car Care Center.I was given a competitive quote over the phone for the specific work. It included a 10% discount as a AAA member.I was greeted by friendly employees who were concerned for my issue.The repair began at my appointment time. I paid the quoted price. I was surprised that as a AAA member my repair came with a 2 year warranty. My car works well now.

I had my car towed to this location after it was totaled in an accident. A manager named Pierre helped me beyond what his job called for I believe. I had already been resigned to getting anything from 0-100$ for my totaled car(which I couldn’t find the title for). Pierre ended up finding someone to pay me $500 that very same day! Not only did he help me beyond what he was professionally required to but he put much need money in my pocket in this time where I’m struggling after losing my only transportation ( with two young kids) I’m so grateful for Pierre and he wouldn’t even allow me to tip him(which I thought he much deserved)

Thank you to Aigner and the staff at AAA East Brunswick! I had my car towed in due to a tire rod issue (or what I thought). In my years of car care service I have never had a group of people who were so helpful, honest, and genuinely kind.Aigner was transparent, informative and honest.He literally walked me through the details of what was wrong with my car. I have had my car worked on a numerous amount of times and not one mechanic told me the amount of damage my car was in and the danger I was in driving it. Absolutely crazy.Even though he had to deliver bad news about the life of my car, Aigner managed to lighten it up and make it hilarious! The staff worked with me so that I was able to arrange my business for the car. I am super grateful and thankful for their kindness. I strongly recommend their services.

Excellent honest service. They fixed our car which we had towed there because we had AAA. It was actually caused by a broken bracket holding the transmission dip stick tube which had come out and was causing the tyranny to slip. They fixed it temporarily at no charge so we could drive home. We still need a part, but we drove home safely.

Pierre was extremely nice and helpful! He was honest and helped me and other customer’s immediately. I was very happy with the work done on my Jeep and would go back anytime. I didn’t have an appointment and he was able to do my battery test immediately to let me know what my issue was. My vehicle was completed exactly when he promised and the waiting area is very nice and accommodating if you decide to wait there while getting repairs. Not to mention my entire battery change was covered by my AAA Premier membership! Definitely worth the money just for the battery with 6 yr warranty!

Interesting place. AAA sponsored car repair. Tire sales. Insurance sales and trip planning. Right on RT 18. Entrances on RT 18 N and from Old Bridge Turnpike. Clean open waiting area w large screen TV and comfortable chairs. There are a couple small meeting rooms in case you need privacy. Prices are reasonable for repairs but waiting times are long even when they say it will be 1 hr it turns out to be more like 3+ hrs. The staff is courteous.

Ive been a AAA member for 20 years and know the value of membership. Between myself and my family weve had to use their towing and road side assistance numerous times. Its cool that they will call you giving you an estimate with how long before help arrives. One use a year pays for the cost of the annual membership. Ive gone to this location for travel info and assistance. They also offer car repair service at this location. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly with travel travel plans. The hotel and theme park discounts also make membership worth the cost. Highly recommended

This is the second time this office has completely dropped the ball.I broke down in rush hour in the center of an intersection. Not the side but the center. Im now blocking everyone. I tell AAA this several times that the police need them now or they will have their own contracted company tow me out. They assure me it is a priority call and they will come asap.Fast forward an hour and forty minutes the driver shows up. He sees where I am and asks why I didnt tell AAA that Im in an intersection. I tell him I did, every time I called. He shows me his call information that in all of the sections dispatch could have written this, they left blank!He is quick and professional, Hands me an ice water, and gets me where I need to go.Bring us to today, I call at 8.35am. They give me an estimate of 9.32 but since long tow they want me to go with the driver. I have my mom rush over to take my kids and wait. 9.45 comes and I call. This is the ACTUAL STATEMENT THE REPRESENTATIVE SAYS:We cant find a driver willing to bring you 63 miles.Are you kidding me? Every single time you call AAA they beg you to upgrade. Every. Single. Time. I have now upgraded to their top tier program. I cannot go any higher.Now I want to use this service I have paid for for years but have never used.And the DRIVERS dont feel like DRIVING.Imagine you told your boss you dont feel like doing your job?!

This is your typical complete rip-off take advantage mechanic. Started with a check engine light and engine sputtering, but running and driving. I was told I needed 4 ignition coils, but needed 1. I was told my spark plugs needed to be replaced, but they were actually in great shape. When asking the manager, Christian why I was being charged higher than the dealer he told me this is how I make money. Luckily I was able to keep my unbroken parts and sell on eBay to recover some of the 6-7 hundred I was ripped off.

Got an oil change yesterday at AAA, East Brunswick, took them 3 hours to do it, 4 bays open. I checked my oil a day after and I was missing a solid two quarts. My car down not burn oil or have leaks. The sales person was S.Carmargo, I guess that is the tech. If you go here for anything especially oil changes I suggest making them let you watch what they are doing. I suspect they didn’t even change my oil filter now.

Had my car towed here because it would not start. They did a full diagnostic on my car and said it was the starter. They quoted me $600 for a starter repair, and the part was remanufactured! I declined immediately and said I would tow my car to a different shop. While waiting for the tow, I was called and told that it was going to be considered a convenience tow and charged $80! I am a Plus member and am allowed 5 tows per year. This was my first tow ever with AAA to get it to the shop. They wanted to change me for the tow AND count it against my total number of tows for the year! I got it to another shop and was told my starter was fine and the wire was just loose. The shop didnt even charge me for this! Stay far away from this shop and AAA all together. I am filing a complaint to corporate and the BBB. Take my advice and do not use this shop or AAA.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. Took my Honda Pilot in to get an estimate for just front brake pads and rotors. Waste an hour and a half of my time for them to tell me what I was already aware of that my brakes and rotors are shot. Heres the kicker they throw in a costly brake line flush and the total bill was $530+. Took it to the HONDA DEALERSHIP of all places and they just charged for the brake pads and rotors took an hour and a half and 320$. Mind you Im a premium member with AAA. The best discount you guys could do was 10%?! This place is a joke and a RIP OFF! Take your vehicle for repairs elsewhere!

Complete rip-off. My radiator hose had failed and needed replacing. 270 was the price I paid for a 30 dollar hose and coolant. After the installation, the front-end guy tells me that the mechanics found that my radiator was cracked and needed to be replaced. I asked for them to show me because I did not believe him one bit. For 30 minutes they tried to convince me of the issue yet could not show me a crack. They told me for them to take out the radiator to locate the crack I HAD to buy a new radiator. I refused of course, took the car to an independent mechanic and he assured me that the radiator was not cracked. LIARS AND CHEATS!!! I will never come here again.

They broke something under my car and then tried charging me to fix their mistake. The manager told me theyd fix it or the max price theyd charge me would be $100. The next day I was told they wont cover their mistake and it would be about $500 not $100. Dont trust the prices they give you verbally, make sure everything is on paper! They just lost 4 cars worth of future business.

I had a 9 am appointment for a basic oil change my car only had 5000 miles on it dropped it off early too around 830 am. Didn’t get a call until 1140 am ( keep in mind I called them an hour before they told me they would call back in 20’mins) what was the point of even having an appointment then the service advisor argued with me when I said does oil changes take this long normally he said well your cars been ready for over 4 hours which wasn’t true it was 3 hours and sorry I didn’t realize an oil change takes over 3 hours. And I was busy when they called but didn’t think I need to explain that! Needless to say I will stick with going to the dealership from now on. This was my first and last time at a aaa service center. What a waste of time and money! They should learn to treat there customers better than arguing.

I got very timely service w getting a tow on a Sunday night which was a blessing but the service center is the biggest rip off ever! My alternator went and I was given a quote of $689. They told me my belt was broken as well. Had a flat bed pick it right up and bring it else where. Was told my belt was brand new. And paid $400 less then what they wanted!

They are definitely nicer than going to your local Midas. I personally didnt have a choice because I was towed here by AAA, but I didnt mind the waiting environment that they had set up while waiting for my car to be repaired. Theres also a Wawa that is walking distance to here, so I couldnt really complain. The prices were fair and there is a very small discount for AAA members.

Dont waste your time and money with AAA East BrunswickTowed my BMW 525i on 9/21 (Saturday) due to engine malfunction, car was hesitating even when idle. AAA advised me first hour diagnose is about $56.50. By Saturday afternoon they called and asked for permeation for an additional hour of diagnoses another $115. Before the end of the day they couldnt remove the ignition coil.... Then they were able to diagnose the problem with a bad Fuel injector # 6 need to be replaced for $300. Also, advised me to change the remaining 5 fuel injectors as they can go bad any time. I refused to change the good fuel injectors and only replace the malfunctioning injector. AAA was able to find me an OEM part for $175. Finally received the car on Monday 9/24 with a $543.00 invoice....! Before I left AAA East Brunswick parking lot passenger restraint system and airbag malfunction warring came up. They asked me come back for more diagnoses to fix a problem which I didn’t have before coming to their shop. Week later exactly on Saturday 9/29 afternoon I got engine malfunctions warning sign car was hesitating while driving and at idle. I towed this time to my mechanic on Monday morning 10/1, my mechanic examined the car and it turned out it is simply bad / worn out spark plugs for $10.00 ea. He changed all spark, car is running smooth now.Not only AAA didnt know what they are doing but they ruined my car with the passenger restraint and airbags malfunctioning warning signs on.Do yourself a favor save your time and money and go to a good mechanic. If there is an option for zero stars, I would give it to AAA. They should stick with towing only...!Dont waste your time and money with AAA East BrunswickUpdate:Thank you for your attention to this issue.AAA East Brunswick contacted on on Friday 10/12 evening by Service Manager in this location.Unfortunately this was a very frustrating conversation. Mr. Christian totally dismissed any finding by my mechanic (Owner) of Gibraltar Transmission. AAA Manager told me they checked spark plugs and they were in good condition. However my mechanic when he examined them they were totally shot. This was the main issue not misfiring of fuel injector. AAA Manager kept on asking me technical questions about the car performance which I was not able to answer, as this is not my expertise. AAA Manager used his technical knowledge of cars more than me to prove he is correct. I asked him to contact Gibraltar Transmission to get answers to his questions, he refused to do so.I have problems with AAA for the following reasons1- AAA service manager used his knowledge to his advantage where I could not answer him and therefore, he is correct and I’m not entitled to a refund.2 - When I went to Gibraltar Transmission a week after the car was serviced at AAA East Brunswick due to engine malfunction again, Gibraltar Transmission checked the car using his computer and it had the faulty misfiring of fuel injector # 6 again. This was the same diagnoses by AAA East Brunswick a week ago p and supposedly they replaced this fuel injector. This leads me to believe AAA East Brunswick have not done their job which they charged me for. This is very disappointing to learn the hard way, such a reputable corporation how they are treating their clients.3- Gibraltar Transmission was able to diagnose the misfiring of fuel injector using computer in 5 min., why did it take AAA one and half hours to diagnose by AAA East Brunswick. Total labor charge of $171.50 for only diagnose plus installation labor another $172.50. Is this because I was not in the shop watching over their shoulder what they are doing?I would like to have answers to the above questions and a full refund as clearly per my above points you have not done your job and cheating your customers.Thank youEhab

Being associated with AAA is a huge letdown. This mechanic/service is has upcharged me multiple times for parts. I unfortunately need to used them due to emergencies related to car care. I was upcharged ~100 for a muffler for my 2008 Nissan Sentra back in December of 2016. Most recently I was upcharged over 200% on a headlight for my car. I had asked why the charge was so high, the mechanic told me that was how much their vendor chose to charge them. They then informed me they were going to have to go out an purchase it. When I inquired why they would knowingly chose to purchase something more expensive and then pass those costs onto me, they said it was their policy and thats what the protocol was. I had asked if I could purchase the bulbs and have them install it, they declined and said they would not do that. Overall this was a very bad experience and I will not be going to AAA care care centers in the future.

They charged me over $700 to fix things that didnt solve the problem. The day I picked up the car it broke down and had to be scrapped. Even the Wayne PA AAA store thought I should have gotten a refund but they didnt give me one.
