They seem to come through with what I need and when I need it. Have 2 kids that love artsy crafty stuff and weve usually found more than we went for. Always clean and friendly service. A shame theyre not a bit closer to home...its almost 1/2 hr one way into traffic mess.

I go mostly for yarn, I feel they can have a better selection of yarn, that way I dont have to go to Manchester

Fully stocked with great crafts. When asked, employee took me directly to the item I needed.

They apparently no longer carry big straw baskets and I literally went there to get supplies to make a basket so that was unfortunate. However I did get the other basket supplies so the trip was not a waste.

We recently purchased a picture frame and the hook was defective; it loosened and the frame crashed to the ground. I called the store & the manager was very kind & understanding. Not only did she replace the frame, she attached some new heavy duty hooks to the back so I wouldn’t have the same problem happen again. Excellent customer service.- Sarah P.

Michael’s has a great selection of hobby and craft items. If your into painting, crafting, framing, etc this is a great place to go. They usually have a coupon on their website.

Michaels in Glastonbury always has great options when putting together activities for family projects or activities. This location is well organized and never crowded.

This Michaels is good. The staff is polite and helpful and you always get what you are looking for. However, I never shop at Michaels without coupons. Why not save when u can.:)

The store is ok, but we just had a big storm here and I was wondering if the store was open. I called and pressed 3 to be connected with a team member. When I got connected, a lady answered the phone and immediately said bye in a creepy voice. Quite strange if you ask me.

Still open during a global pandemic! SHAME ON YOU, MICHAELS. Close your store and let your employees stay home. You really want to be known as the company who has someone die working for you, or a customer, because you couldnt handle not selling yarn and paint for a few months. Shame, shame, shame. I hope people take notice. This is a disgrace.

They have EVERYTHING!! Watch for their sales they are good! They are not great with coupons tho they dont even honor their own never mind competitors as they say they will. I just watch for sales or buy online.

Michaels have lots of the seasonal items on display before each season starts every year their hours are Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm and Sunday 10am-7pm. The Michaels is formerly Ames in East Hartford.

My experience with Michaels framing at the East Hartford store has been one of severe frustration. If you actually have a painting that needs care, this is not the place to have it framed. I took two of my pastel paintings to get framed. The store manager had to help me since there was little help available. She was constantly interrupted by messages and had to leave me to help others. My painting was actually a 9x12 standard and it still was messed up. They even covered my signature and I had to buy chalk at the store to re-sign.The mat looked like masking tape. I realize now I could have just bought a standard frame. Awful. Michaels said they would reframe it and get it right. A month has passed. Ive tried to call and all I get is muzac and the phone hangs up. Finally, I got the manager and he switched me to framing. The woman stated she had sent out for the right measurements and that they had to resend it. How complicated can this be? Further, when I realized they dont it themselves, I was disheartened. She then offered to just give me back the painting. I told her to please finish the job! She wanted to spray it with fixative and I told her I dont do this. Can you put in a spacer so pastel dust doesnt leak? Isnt this why I took it to the pros? She acted like this was too complicated for her. Huh? How many times have I gone to Jerrys Artarama where this is no problem?She told me she would call me the next day. Two weeks later, I have heard nothing! Geez, Michaels if you are going to offer framing, do it right! This has been a very frustrating experience and all I want is my framed standard size painting back!
