Best Place in EPA, this store has everything you could possibly need. Theyve been in the area for 25+ years! Theyre truly part of the community in EPA and theyve been around and seen the gentrification happening around us. They started out on University and Donahue Street back in the 90s and have been a contributing factor to our community ever since. They were kicked out of their old building along with everyone else from the Donahue street local businesss. There were taquerias, convenient stores, and barber shops. This area was the area to be. As a family owned and run business, they took a chance on East Palo Alto when no one from out side our 2.5 sq mile town was even willing to step a foot into. La Familia was the first clothing/electronics/housewares/toys business to open in those times. A Declining city it was, due to drugs and a soaring crime rate this place held the peace together when gangs and drugs ran the streets. La Familia was a safe ground territory where if you were crypt or blood it was known that when you stepped into Lafa, this was a place of neutrality. Although my review is long, this is what people of East Palo Alto have to know about this place. Is it pricey? Sure, it can be, but its a mom and pop run shop. When I say Mom and Pop, I really mean it. Its a place thats run by family. Theyre employees are their family and they take care of them really well. With ever so increasing Leases/Rentals Lafa tries to be fair in their pricing. But just like everything here in the Bay everything is expensive.

Has Always Been The Best Place To Get Clothes Shoes And Music Installed In Your Car. Sadly They Closed, But Theyve Been Around So Long And So Nice They Seemed Like They Were Family And Knew Everyone After Almost 30 Years(That I Can Remember) In East Palo Alto. They Were Around So Long That Everyone Treated Them Like Family Also. Knew Everyone Well Enough To Know What I Was Coming For When They Seen Me Coming. Good Prices For Decent Clothes Shoes Hats Jackets Etc.

Great place for hella different things, I mean that store is filled to the brim and setup like a maze!!!! Lol, like everywhere you turn you run into something else eye catching. Just like most any mom and pop shop the prices are higher.

I did not feel comfortable with the owner he went to get a piece that I was buying but because he thought that I was going to steal something he call up one of his workers on me so she could be there watching I dont think I will come back again.
