Talk about big! This place will take more than an hour to go through. A wide assortment of both old and new - this is not a place to be missed by lovers of home decor and antiques, especially those oriented around a southern, country vibe. Be sure to check out the tea room in the back for lunch!

I want to love Chattanooga Mercantile. But I have to be honest and admit that it just doesnt float my boat. Tons of stuff, but most of it is very drab and samey. They have lots of devoted happy customers, so they are obviously doing something right. But it appears that the store mainly appeals to folks who want dull generic stuff. If you go for the safe look, this might very well be your new favorite store. But if youre looking for something cool, unique and exciting, you arent likely to find it here. This store could improve over time so Im not giving up on em yet...

Interesting place full of different booths -- flea market style but upscale. My wife and I just love to browse and get ideas for our own projects.

Love thus place. Found a beautiful patio set and a gorgeous plant stand. Lots of good stuff. Priced accordingly.

I absolutely love Chattonooga Mercantile. It is so inspirational. Amazing decor, furniture and so much more to choose from. The Tea Room is the perfect addition. However, a bathroom renovation is way overdue. Needs attention.Also, I was in there a couple of weeks ago and it was so hot we had to leave. Turn up the air so your shoppers will be comfortable and want to shop and shop!!!

Great selection of antiques and they have snacks! My only recommendation would be to add aisle numbers, because this place is huge.

We bougt there 2 big carpets and the gyus there were really helpful and willing.

The only thing Id change is that the ow er of the complex needs to redo the bathrooms. Theyve been woefully ignored. Ate at Mammie Carlottas in the back of the Merchantile for my monthly ladies lunch. The food, service, and atmosphere was perfect for us. We had so much fun. Then got to go looking through all the fantastic booths with antiques, repurposed, etc items. Will definitely return!

This is a must see place if you love antique shopping and farmhouse type decorations. It is quite large so expect to spend at a minimum of an hour walking the aisles. I can guarantee there is something here for everyone.

I dont even give this place 1 star. I made reservations for a party 1 week prior for today. Once we arrived we were told they ran out of food. The owner told me they generally run out of food by 1. So then why take reservations for people at 2 and considering you dont close until 3 is bad business.

I was blown away at the great selection and variety of merchandise available throughout the huge store of different shops. Ill definitely be back!

New and old. So much to be found here. The owners and their booth owners turned this place into a charming and intriguing business. The vibe of the building is now cozy and gorgeous.There is a lunch restaurant in the back. We had already eaten, otherwise we would have tried it. We will go back soon .The collective decor is so lovely.Truly, there is something for everyone here. In general the prices were good.Cant wait to go back and see the other half. We were short on time.

HUGE. Make sure youre prepared to stay a while! Great finds, different pricing per booth, so if you find something out of your price range keep looking for others that are cheaper!

I love antiquing. I like how many styles of everything you can find, from rugs to furniture. I do think the stuff there was way overpriced though. I mean, a table that costs over $1,000 is too much!

So we ate at Mammie Carlottas Tea Room that is located inside the Chattanooga Mercantile. It was delicious. I absolutely love the cheese quiche. I got the sampler plates with the ice ginger peach tea. The server was outstanding and very funny. The servers mom tends to the register up front and she is a delight to chat with. If you every have time for a quick lunch stop by Mammie Carlottas Tea Room for some lunch or dinner on Sundays.

Very surprised by the refurbished/modernized/customized...etc items and furniture they had. More surprised by the low price. Wife loves it too, multiple booths from different vendors that have basically created their own version of a kitchen,bathroom,living room set up...etc. aToya the closing manager was very professional as well. What a gem this place is. So many antiques to choose from just not enough money to cover it all. If you love and antiques or nostalgia memorabilia this place is a must.

The Tea room was delicious and it was a great experience. Wear your walking shoes when you go, its huge bit a great experience. Nice accommodating staff.

Very neat consignment space! Of course, prices are too high, but to be expected from the East Ridge south end antique merchants. The tea room eatery is a nice addition to the mix.

So wonderfully spacious. Walked thru every aisle and smelled wonderful sents of food coming from restaurant at back of store. So nice and seeing retro items bring back memories from the past. Courteous friendly staff.

Chattanooga is known for having a great selection of antique stores and the Chattanooga Mercantile is hands-down the best of all of them! The owners love seeing their customers get a great deal and they work closely with their vendors to make that happen. That’s huge, good business and much appreciated by the customer and the vendor.

I stumbled upon this gem of a store when I went online to look for a specific chalk paint line retailer. I went there thinking I was going to buy the paint and leave, but I walked in and saw a large store that was filled with the best selection of authentic vintage items. Definitely one of the best antique stores around! I’m sure if you go, you will leave with a treasure or two.

Items were unique, much of excellent quality. Large facility. Pleasant staff, most booths had reasonable prices. They had a restaurant and a small yummy looking bakery. A good selection of items ranging from cowboy slumming to palace elegant. A place worth the visit. You can easily spend a browsing hour or two.

What a find on a rainy day. The 3 of us all got separated because we were just lost in our own little world. Theres so much to see. There were many beautiful, clever and unusual pieces to keep us amused and intrigued for quite some time. Too bad I didnt find anything that spoke to me enough to take it home.

Visited for the first time during the last week of November. The store is full of vintage, antique, and also awesome new items. There is literally something for everyone. There are aisles and aisle of different vendor booths which gives you so many different things to see and different price variations. Example: At one booth, I saw this gorgeous yellow Moroccan light fixture for $30. In a booth on a different aisle, I saw the same fixture for $279. So, take time to browse the entire store before settling on a treasure. You might get lucky and find it cheaper at another booth. At checkout, the staff was very friendly and nice. We look forward to visiting again.

Chattanooga Mercantile is a large antiques mall. The shops are good looking with a nice variety of furniture and accessories. There are even places to eat! I highly recommend visiting it.

I always buy something everytime I go in but today I had a terrible experience. I picked out a glass cake saver after I first started shopping and I took it up front so nothing would happen to it and the man at the counter gives me a very rude response to why he cant hold it and to just get a buggy. Im sorry but if I am going to buy something that can break very easily I would want it somewhere safe and there was plenty of room behind the counter because they just opened. It almost made me not purchase the item and I just wanted you to be aware of how your employees treat your customers.

Was pleasantly surprised by all this place had to offer. It was huge, very well organized, and we could have easily spent hours walking around looking at all of the unique booths.Only complaint was that the womens bathrooms were utterly disgusting.

I loved seeing all of the different collections of antiques and crafts that would be a lovely pairing with anyones decor. Truly a very special place with anything youre looking for to make your home beautiful.

This is such a warm and inviting place with so much to look at and choose from. We bought a slice of strawberry cake from the little bakery and some costume jewelry from the Black Magic booths. Earlier in the year, after many unsuccessful attempts at finding a small white desk online, we found the perfect one at the Mercantile for much less than the badly made ones online. Get away from it all and rewind back in time at the Mercantile!!!

A lot of it is overpriced. Some good looking quality furniture though and tons to see.

It was great I love the food.

Its a little warm, this time of year. But other than that, it is an extremely cool place. Like a bunch of little antique shops under one roof. There is something for everyone. It even has a bakery. And there is tea. So its like visiting grandmas sprawling theme mansion. If your grandma didnt have one of those, then take my word for it. But the best part is that instead of having to worry about her sending some weird item you never wanted home with you, or having to play dibs with your relatives for some prized family heirloom, if you see something you like, you buy it. And there is enough there, youre going to see something you like.

I got overcharged and did not get my refund back what they said they were going to do. And still they took more money off my card. You dont run a business like this.

They have really cute merchandise and good prices on some items but a few of the men who work there are very rude/ have poor customer service skills most of the time. Also, only 2 out of 6 employees I saw today had a mask on and only one of the two had it on correctly.

My wife loves this place. My wallet fears it. They have a lot of nice booths. Lots of quality antiques and furniture. They even have a little tea shop inside where you can get a bit of food. There is also a small coffee stand with tasty treats. Highly recommend this place. Top notch.

My mother bought a piece of furniture and when we went to pick up next day for her they couldnt find where she purchased. They ended up calling her to see what booth it was in and then found the receipt in a separate place. They went to get the furniture with her name on it and we took home. Turns out it wasnt the correct piece she had bought. I didnt know cause nobody went with her to purchase. She called and told them about it and got no apology, all they said was that booth was empty and they think everyone got the right furniture. This is no way to run a business and take advantage of a 80 yr old woman. We will let all our friends and family know Not to shop here. Very upsetting they dont care about customers only money.

Great place to go for unusual Christmas gift ideas. Lots of vendors with a good variety of items. Right now the place is beautifully decorated with a country Christmas feel to it. You can even enjoy lunch in the tea room and the best chocolate chip cookies in Chattanooga at the bakery.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I travel hours away to go to different events and festivals all year to find cool and unique handmade items. I love everything handmade! I also love looking at vintage stuff (though, I dont buy it as much as handmade stuff). This is pretty much my new favorite place in existence as its like a huge festival every day! So many things to see and explore and theres new items brought in every day! I love the layout of the store as booths as it makes it much more organized and not as overwhelming. Youve gotta check this place out!!!

Being a guy I dont usually get into antique stores, but this place awesome!Ive been in a few times over the last few years and its totally different every time. The overall experience is warm and friendly.

This place is AWESOME! Its the premier destination in the Chattanooga TN area for all things related to home decor. They also have an excellent bakery, tea at the front door, snacks, gift shops, flat screen TV room and more. You can literally spend hours at this store and not get bored. Theres something for everyone at this place.

This place is amazing ! The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. It’s my new favorite place to shop in Chattanooga. I Have never seen such a wide variety under one roof. Antiques, REAL ANTIQUES!!Vintage, Handmade one of a kind, and just the right mix of home decor . Prices for every budget.Plan on spending the better part of the day. Every thing is well designed and displayed. I promise you won’t be disappointed. My girlfriends and I all left with some wonderful treasures. And they even helped us out to the car with all our loot . We are already planning or next visit.

If you are looking for a destination antique mall then this is the place. You can spend almost all day here. Unique booths with goods for all styles. Bakery with great treats. Tea Room coming soon so I bet it will be great too. Don’t forget to buy your tea before you start shopping. Great staff. Convenient location and lots of parking!

Nice little collection of shops. Lots of home decor with a few antiques shops, clothing boutiques and specialty stores. Think indoor craft fair. They also have a quant tea room/restaurant in the back.
