I have been coming here every Sunday for years. The service is impeccable and the food is even better. The bombolone is one of my favorites and the gelato is perfection. The owner takes pride in his work and it shows!

Being Sicilian and nostalgic about the well known taste of my childhood memory of the unique pastries, I was very disappointed about the quality of their food.it is a shame, asked for a Custard bombolone, the owner went on the back. It took about few minutes, came back with a warm outside oily and cold custard inside. Most likely took one from freezer and put it in the microwave.It is a disgrace to Italian reputation for freshness and authenticity.

Really hit the spot on a hot day!

We came for our gelato cravings and we were very disappointed at what we experienced. The gelato was pre package which is weird because it was really over priced. My daughter got the mango and once she took and bite she put it down. I took it and it tasted like stale and expired mango and it smelled like cigarettes. I was very disappointed!!! All our flavors tasted like it was expired and didn’t taste good. This ruined our experience.

I love this place. The couple who own and run are so genuinely nice, and caring about their customers. They will greet you coming in and wish you a good day on the way out. Everything is either imported from Italy or made from scratch the traditional italian way.This place is better than similar places in the city.Highly recommend it to everyone.

Pane & Gelato is a wonderful Italian bakery and phenomenal gelato cafe. We have often visited and every time we have gone, I can’t believe how delicious their homemade gelato tastes. I ask myself, why have we waited so long between visits? This afternoon I took a ride and as a result of the Coronavirus, they have instituted new rules, you cant even walk up to the gelato freezer. You have to stand at least six feet away and place your order for small or medium repacked containers . I had fun picking lots of different flavors including pistachio, coffee and vanilla gelato! They also have great looking boxes of fresh pasta and bottles of olive oil. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Real Sicilliano makes authentic cannoli and gelato!!I take cannoli seriously. A short trip would be to travel several hours for one - on public transportation, to another borough. A long trip would be to fly to Italy. Paolo makes one of the best Ive ever had in my life. The gelato is beautiful as well. Pane & Gelato is an institution dedicated to quality and the love of food, you can taste it in every ingredient. Bravo!

Nice place and calm place, gelatos are delicious but I had better before.

To be honest, the gelato is ok !!! when you are paying $10.50 for a large container filled with a scoop and a half of gelato! Not very pleased with the flavor, gelato was extremely sweet and stracciatella was more like vanilla with chocolate chip! Again almost $11 for a scoop and a half of “Italian ice cream”. PLUS, On the menu here online mentions cones, and there were none, and gelato was not scooped fresh, pre scooped in plastic container! We feel robbed! If you are looking for an authentic gelato place, this is definitely not it ! Super disappointed, we will never be back !

Felt like we were back in Italy. Delicious HOMEMADE gelato, HOMEMADE pastries, and authentic Italian espresso/cappuccinos. The couple that runs P&G are super friendly and welcoming. Well be back....sooner than later, especially since on our way out we saw they make fresh squeezed orange juice with what I believe are Sicilian oranges.

The gelato was fine but not great and was very overpriced. We were in the area so we tried it but would not go back.

It is always a jo to come here for a latte and Italian cookies. They also have pastries and gelato, so the only challenge is which treat to choose. Enjoy.

This is one of Eastchesters hidden gems. It is family-owned, authentic, affordable and really tasty. Skip Dunkin or Starbucks and go here instead!

We decided to get coffee run and looking at the ratings. But the coffee is not worth the money at all, and the service wasn’t that good either. He didn’t make my coffee as asked and when asked to fix it he charged me 2.75 extra to add even little bit of coffee. After Spending 5$, i had to to pay extra to fix it that close me $7.00. even after fixing it it was horrible. You rather go to Nutmeg close by which has amazing coffee. This is a good Gelato place but not anything else.

We have a meeting here. I definitely paid for two cups of coffee. I gave the lady $10.59 cash and got $3 cash back. And I didn’t get any receipt. I can’t pay by bank card because our order less than $10. The boss told my friends that I didn’t pay them after I left. Its disappointing to say we didnt pay after we left. I felt discriminated against.

Exceptionally warm and courteous owner. I was locked out of my house not too long ago and had to wait for someone with keys to get back. It was a Sunday around 5:30 and everything in the area was closed except for this place.I had just returned from NYC where I lost my bag (wallet & keys), and was with only a few bucks I had in my pants. I ordered a small coffee and later a small gelato. Nobody once pushed me to clear the table or leave. The coffee tastes bold and rich which is rare in most American cafes.

Without exaggeration, its likely the best homemade gelato Ive ever had outside of Italy. We come at least once a month for the extra dark chocolate. Its basically creamy frozen fudge and its fantastic. Go here.

This is one the best gelato places I have been to. They have many unique, amazing and absolutely delicious gelato flavors here. We go here often with our 3 kids and the service is always courteous and kind. It takes us about 45 min to get here from home - but its worth the trip. Keep up the good work.

Place was awesome...I had just been to Italy for a month, and wanted gelato. Found this place out of nowhere.Went with my girlfriend, AND it was spectacular! Like being in Italy again. I had the tiramisu, it was to die for. Ill be back really soon!

I really want to love this place. There arent many coffee joints (aside from Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks) in the area that are open for an after dinner drop in. Pane and Gelato is nice, but I just cant say its great. They do have a nice selection of gelatos and Italian pastries, but it just doesnt wow me. Very generic setting. The staff is helpful but seemingly distant. They just seem to go through the motions. Tonights cappuccino was luke warm. (Much like the service). Dont dislike, but dont love either.

Worst experience so far in the US. and feel disrespectful. they should double check before telling clients they dont pay the bill. I wanted to pay with credit card but they said minimum payment with card is 10$ so I went back to my seat for cash but they told my other friends that we didnt pay. lmao. wont go back again that disgusting place!!

This place is absolutely disgusting and racist. I am an African American male and I must admit they have delicious Ice Cream. Unexpectedly, the woman there was nasty and blatantly racist. The first time I visited Gelatos the woman did not greet me and rushed me out the establishment. However, she happily attended to the white customers. On my second visit the same woman wasnt friendly once again. This place wont ever have to worry about my services EVER AGAIN!

I had the most unusual experience. I was hassled for requesting a taste sample and asking to buy more than 2 flavors. It was the strangest thing. I will never go there again. I have been there twice and frankly their gelato really is not that great. I can assure you most gelato places have better tasting gelatos. It is also evident that business is pretty slow which I am not at all surprised despite being on a busy road. I seldom write reviews but I was struck by the manner of the clerk in the store and I presume the owner or baker who frequently came from the back. I dont enjoy saying this. A bit of a disappointment.

I tried the broccoli rabbe and 2 types of gelato. Everything was delicious, and the staff was amazing, very courteous and pleasant.
