Been going to this shop since I was a kid and I think all but one set of skis has come from them.My experience was no different this time. Same guy helping me after all these years, I told him how I planned to spend my time on the slopes and he pointed to a pair of skis that I was thinking of after doing research. To top it off, he gave me a great deal on them and had the bindings mounted and skis tuned in less than an hour. Seriously premium service!Knowledgeable and straight forward, this no nonsense shop will get you good to go in no time!

Brought in my bike to get tuned up and was charged $65 with the notion that the bike would be all set moving forward. I later that month, after not riding it, sold it to a friend because it ended up being a little too big. The friend noticed some issues with the bike and asked for another opinion on it to which they told her the bike looked like it hadn’t been tuned up at all. She took it into the Competitive Edge, yet again, where they told her it now had several issues after charging her for another tune up. Inevitably the bike was now “not worth being fixed” after paying for two alleged tune ups.Don’t waste your money getting your bike serviced here.

I have been a customer of Competitive Edge Ski and Bike since they first opened their store down the road from Mt. Tom many years ago. I have always been extremely satisfied with their friendly, helpful service, and great quality skis and clothing. I bought a pair of Atomic skis last year and I absolutely love them. They always know how to fit you to the right ski for your skiing ability. Today, I bought myself a new ski outfit and I cant wait to wear it on the slopes next week. I was very happy with the help that I received picking out this new outfit and the price was great. I highly recommend that you shop at this wonderful store!

Grew up going to this place for snowboard gear. Today I called about a wax that I used to purchase from them. The woman that answered was friendly but didn’t know what I was talking about so she put me on hold to ask one of the guys. Then a guy picks up and is very short with me and completely unhelpful. I was pretty shocked because this isn’t what I used to experience, but good to know calling them for assistance is useless.

They have 4F winter jackets and pants which I love. A lot of skis, ski shoes, snowboards, and clothes in the small, two-floor store.

Bought my first mountain bike from them when I was a teenager and they were in Hadley. Purchased a pair of skis in my 20s. Now I bought my daughter her first bike there. Great service and they have another store in East Longmeadow with more inventory. They also sell throw back Mt Tom Ski Area t-shirts.

A local owned and operated shop. Owner is great and very helpful. They dont sell junk here like you find at the big stores.

Had 2 new tires and a set of forks installed on my sons bike. Matt (I believe) did the job in a few hours (during busy crazy covid time)! I brought in a strange ebike that had odd wheels and a strange hub.... this is not something anyone in Western mass has ever seen I promise. He managed to take care of business perfectly in short order! Props to him and the shop!!

Honestly one of the WORST sales experiences I have ever experienced. From the very beginning- My fiancé called to discuss bike prices and the older gentleman just seemed super annoyed on the phone. Against my better judgement we went anyway and were misguided on pricing and met with short demeaning answers the whole time we were at the shop. At the end when we were ready to purchase- the pricing suddenly changed. It’s a shame bc we frequent your other location for our ski and snowboard needs and so do many of our friends. That will no longer be happening. You let over $1,300 in sales walk out of your shop today- from two people who were more then good for it. We will be “buying small” elsewhere.

I went in last Saturday to purchase new ski boots. The expertise of Jim and his staff was unmatched - along with their patience and They knew their products and which ones that would best work for me, my skiing level and my foot anatomy. The entire fitting process was smooth and enjoyable. HIghly recommend.

Visited this bike shop, the owner or employee after spending 300$ was not a friendly person. He offered no help just take the money and one to the next. I also asked for air in my tire hands me a pump, this is a bike shop where is your compressor for those people who needs air? Customer service was very poor and TRUST AND KNOW THAT I WILL NOT BE GOING THERE EVER AGAIN.

5 stars easily. Bottom line. Jim is the owner all knowing and, Peter and Will would never do any harm. If there was one place I could work the rest of my life, it would be in Easthampton for Jim. The little dog makes the ambiance of the shop. The Dog is a dog right out of the Preppy handbook and the shop is on the way to Vermont, via the Preppy handbook. So any preps rolling up I-91 with the mountain bike or the skis. Take it from a local from Holyoke. Stop in, get a tune up and a weather report, even if your running a downhill course in the Berkshires and coming from I-90. Stop in say Hi. Leave your business card stapled to the ceiling and have a great Cycling/Skiing season.
