Geoff designed, built and installed a mudroom cabinet and bench. Its just gorgeous and functionally exactly what we needed for the space. Geoff worked so hard to get the color we were looking for just right and the piece had lovely details that show what a craftsman he is. I recommend Geoff highly.

Geoff generously took on a very unusual custom project to make a traditional large instrument, called a “yay” in Turkish, which is used to card wool prior to making wool felt. The instrument/tool has been used for centuries in the Middle East and Far East . This yay is likely to be the only one in North America and has been crafted by Geoff with unquestionable skill and equal modesty.

We just took delivery of 6 stools that Geoff designed and built from white ash. Its not our first time working with Geoff; my wife Rebeccas review of a table he built a number of years ago is listed above. I dont think I need to say much about Geoffs design choices, the overall aesthetic, joinery, or cleverness of the furniture he creates. His portfolio on the website makes all of that plain. Instead Ill say that Geoff is thoughtful about the process of working with a client, and this experience will draw you closer to the furniture you bring home. Well worth the commitment.

We have limited space for dining so we were looking for a gate leg table that would seat six comfortably.  We searched the internet but couldnt find anything at any price that would meet our needs.  Consequently I started looking for furniture makers and sent emails to several describing what we wanted.  The only response we got was from Geoff and looking back we were lucky because I couldnt imagine any other maker providing the responsive, professional, and creative service that Geoff provides.  Initially Geoff came to the house, looked at the space constraints and came up with a design that was perfect.  He walked us through the design, provided a detailed estimate and really sought out our opinions on many details.  The finished product clearly shows his amazing woodworking skills and was obtained at a price competitive with many of the commercial non-options we found during our initial search.  We have just started our second project with Geoff and can recommend him without hesitation for any of your woodworking needs.

Geoff repaired a Danish modern teak chair for me. He clearly communicated the cost and completed the work timely. The repair looks amazing. He even picked it up and delivered it. We were so pleased with the first piece of furniture that Geoff made for us (a gorgeous dresser in re-claimed walnut) that we went straight back for more as soon as we could. He recently built us a cherry wood bed with matching dressing tables. We described our aesthetic to him and what we were looking for in terms of style, function, and price. Geoff was a great communicator, and happy to involve us in each step of the process. However, we trusted him to make the best artistic decisions, and we couldnt be happier.

Geoff designed and built a dining table for me, a combination of wood and metal working. He coordinated the project seamlessly and was a pleasure to work with during the design process. He offered creative design ideas; listened well and responded quickly to changes and questions; and, crafted a piece that I will cherish for a lifetime! I could be that I just have a sense of aesthetic that is completely aligned with Geoffs design style, but I cant imagine a more creative, tasteful, and inspired furniture designer to work work on a custom project. His execution matches his inspired ideas.Geoffs sense of honesty and logic, mixed with the creativity and care he brings to his work make him exceptional, innovative craftsman and a pleasure to work with.

I have several pieces of furniture created by Geoff and have been extremely pleased with the results. I allowed him to use his own creativity and eye for detail.
