Highly recommended! Nucleus is a must go. We had brunch on a week day, got seated right away. The service was warm and inviting. Super friendly staff. The food was delicious!!!! I will definitely go back. The portions are nice and big.

Wow! Fantastic fun food and a very trendy atmosphere! We had the Yeti platter, Lemon crepe, and two Americano style coffees. Split the breakfast entrees between us and thoroughly enjoyed them. We will be repeat customers.This place is popular so you may need to wait for seating, but the wait isnt long. Regardless of wait time, its worth it!

Wonderful place in Eau Claire for breakfast! Our server was very friendly and gave us great recommendations, which made for a killer breakfast! The cold press coffee was amazing, hash browns were cooked perfectly, and the omelet I had was incredible. They substituted goat cheese for me, and it really worked well with the bacon, basil and tomatoes. Will definitely come back here next time Im in Chippewa Falls / Eau Claire!

Never unhappy with my service. Sometimes there is a little wait to be seated but thats because they are always busy because they are amazing. During the little wait there is a beautiful view of water you can walk by.. The staff are always consistent and lovely. I would love to see vegan cream cheese be added to the menu for bagles! They do already have a great little vegan menu with great options. Great mimosas.

Me and my friends were on our way back from Rock Fest and stopped here for some breakfast. This place did not disappoint! It was busy and we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated but it was worth the wait. They also served us coffee and mimosas while we waited. I had the Peppered Bacon Omelette and Parmesan Garlic Hashbrowns and it was AMAZING. Hands down the best breakfast Ive ever had! My friends had the Strawberry Nutella Crepes and Stuffed French Toast which was also delicious. The staff was also super friendly and helpful! Definitely making this a stop on our future trips!

I absolutely love what they are doing for their employees by giving them a living wage. The food is quite good and very reasonable in price. Great staff who was hustling being short staffed. We will return when we get back to the area.

Everything was awesome!! We went for a late breakfast and I was lucky enough to get to try bites of 5 different dishes and they were all spectacular! The crepes are to die for and the guacamole was delicious, especially on the multigrain toast! And to top it off, our server, Denise, was the bees knees! Definitely worth stopping here!!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for brunch on our day trip to Eau Claire, and we were truly impressed. There was a 30-minute wait, but the scenic bike trail behind the restaurant helped time fly by. The staff was so friendly, too; the hostess even embraced us when we returned for our table! I’d definitely visit again, and maybe I’d opt for a large mimosa instead of a medium!

I was visiting for a college visit and we decided to stop here and I am so glad we did! We might have to make a trip to Eau Claire again just to eat here! We got a breakfast burrito, hash browns, and the cream cheese stuffed french toast and OH MY GOD! Super great portion sizes and huge cups of real whipped cream for the french toast! The breakfast burrito was not your typical egg and sausage burrito, either! It had black beans, fantastic pork, and eggs! Hash browns were to die for! Probably the best food Ive had in the past year! Also, the workers there were so friendly and personable! I cant wait to come back here to try other menu items!

Very good food! The crepes are insanely good, but the reason I am not giving this five stars is because it took about half an hour just to get out food. But in there defense it was packed to the brim, so it wasnt anything they could control. But great place to get breakfast!

We had a party of 10 people so we had a wait of 45 minutes. Well worth the wait. Had an inside and outside waiting area. The dinning area was open and had enough room around our tables. Service was really friendly. They kept an eye on out coffees and waters. Food was also a wait but we were in no rush. Very good food with a lot of verity. Would recommend to groups or 1 on 1 meet ups that arent in a rush.

Wow. 1st time here and I was very impressed. The server that sat us was incredibly friendly, and even came to fetch us at Racys while we were waiting for a table. The food itself was so go. I was so very satisfied with the entire experience.

Never fails to disappoint! Just want to say — their gravy for mashed potatoes? AMAZING! I’ve asked for extra before and they gave me a whole container full — on the house.Just ordered their vegan Breakfast Sammy for my partner, who said it was amazing and so flavorful. I ordered the two Biscuits & Gravy — again, so flavorful. The gravy was like velvet. I have a big appetite so I normally need more than one dish to satiate, but I was full halfway through! I got the $8 large mac and cheese, expecting it to be maybe the size of a mug given recent experiences at other places (small, small portions...) — but NO, it’s a pie pan full of mac! And it tastes great! What!?Partner and I were amazed. The Nucleus has been consistently fulfilling and cheap, in terms of small local, for what you get! Wait time was only 20 minutes ordering online and employees are always kind.

Food was outstanding! The Banana Stuffed French Toast and Lemon Crepes were great, and the Parmesan Garlic hash browns were also good. Our server Nate did a great job for only having worked at The Nucleus for 3 days.

Had the Lemon crepe, crab omelet, and Castro sandwich. Dont forget the mimosas! Everything was SO wonderful! Generous amount of filling in each entree. It took a little longer for get the food, but it is definitely worth the wait. Kind servers, and you can hear the cook/dish washer singing away. Love this place!! Husband and I stopped here by recommendation on a day trip to Eau Claire. Wait for a table was 45 mins, which was fine as we were expecting that. What we weren’t expecting was to wait ANOTHER 45 minutes for the food to come out after ordering. Our food also came out at the same time as two other tables that ordered 10-15 mins after us, which makes me wonder how long it was sitting out before brought to us. At this point we had to take our food to go. Would maybe consider giving this place another chance if we visit again but seems like you need at least 2+ hours of time to dine here (1.5 hrs of which is waiting).

Your sign and webpage should be taken down about the new wage. 1. Its no ones business how much they make.2. blaming price hikes on them is low. 3. Telling people not to tip creates a thought process that maybe they shouldnt tip the pizza guy since he might make 16hr. I assume your good waitstaff who made more than 16 by being nice and working hard will leave.

Ive eaten here several times and this is definitely one of the better spots in town to eat breakfast. Last time I had two eggs over easy with hashbrowns and toast and it was good. My mom had the apple fritter french toast which she lived and my aunt had the lemon ricotta pancakes which were really good too!

Went here this last Sunday and it was pretty good! The menu was a good variety and plenty to choose from. The service was just okay and it took about 15 minutes before we got to place our drink order. My coffee ended up having lots of grounds in it and didn’t taste the best. I got the chocolate caramel crepes and one friend got the lemon crepes. Both were very good. My other friend who go the breakfast burrito though had the best dish hands down. Loved that one. We also finished the meal with peppermint mochas which were delicious. Would consider going back if I’m ever in Eau Claire again

One of my bf coworkers highly recommended that we should go here for breakfast and wont leave Eau Claire. Oh boy he wasnt kidding. I literally extended my flight to try out this place The Nucleus. Since the holidays season are over the outside of the building is still decorated with holiday vibes. Anyway, the place is spacious and cozy at the same time. The employees are friendly and their service is great. We actually barely made it before they closed ( 2pm) so it was more like a brunch than a breakfast hours for us. So for our breakfast we ordered there famous El President, orange zest french toast and I ordered an omelette with hash brown.( IDK what my omelette was called but it had bacon, peppers, cheese, but it was good) . Their El Presidente is a must try and orange zest toast was simply outstanding. Also the amount of food they serve is great and towards the end we were full and had to ask for a to- go box which we ate the next day for our breakfast. But yes I will recommend this place for a good breakfast. Now I m back to NY and I just noticed now that they do serve dinner from 5-10 pm on specific days. Bummer..but I will be back for more on my next visit. Also if you go super hungry then you wont be needing a to go box.

Steak better than street tacos tacos!🤤 The best Brassica Oleracea I have had in my life on my life and mouth watering mac n cheese to make it one of the best meals I have ate hands down in awhile!!! Very good vegan options, happy we decided to stop on our road trip. The food was great and affordable.My only issue was the Koi in the fish tank as the tank was too small for a Koi to live healthily. Not knocking the restaurant as some people are given Koi on accident when they think its a Goldfish.

Ive heard this place is good, but unfortunately I havent been able to eat here. The lines are long and we waited for over an hour and a half before going somewhere else both times.

I finally got to the well-loved Nucleus and really enjoyed my experience for two main reasons: amazing wait staff and cool atmosphere in the one room (with all the couches). I also really enjoyed my food--pictures attached (which I finally remembered after all this time, before eating).Super A+++++ rating to wait staff: what I loved about all the staff is that they looked out for each other and seemed to work as a big, awesome team, not everyone out for themselves. I eat out a lot and this is rare.Atmosphere: Really amazing and comfortable--really enjoyed it a lot.With the beverages, I had a mocha which was delicious and also amazingly tasty.For food, I completely enjoyed the cream cheese/banana stuffed french toast with chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, etc. It was super great and the one thing that would have made it better is if the cream cheese was more whipped or a mixture like a cheesecake would be (think pastry).My husband had the blueberry pancakes and peppered Parmesan garlic hashbrowns. The pancake was a bit skimpy on blueberries and the hashbrowns would have been more awesome if they werent actually peppers for the peppered. We had both assumed black pepper, which is simply a misunderstanding. But they do taste very vegetable pepper. It almost took away from the Parmesan garlic aspect.

This is the hip place to go in Eau Claire, although it recently has found new owners. There is a long wait and I mean a long wait on weekends. So come prepared to stand and wait for many minutes before you will even get a chance to sit on a table. Long wait until service as well. But in the end it all seems worth it because of the food. Food is amazing. Coffee is ok. Or maybe I have yet to find the right toast. I would go here often if it was not for the wait time. One can easily spend an hour waiting for the food. The staff are friendly but rushed because they are busy. All in all very good place to eat breakfast/brunch

Decor is very hipster-vibe in my opinion but makes a great place for some intimacy between friends, family, or even that special date.The food is excellent, I had the stuffed french toast with bananas and cream cheese inside with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar ontop and whipped cream all around! Absolutely delicious!!

I almost dont want to share how great this place is because I want it all to myself! I have been getting the breakfast burrito for years. The only drawback is they used factory farmed meat so I substitute that for extra eggs beans and veggies. It comes with a fruit bowl. They have FRESH squeezed OJ. Great coffee. My date got a chai latte that was amazing and some new triple decker sandwhich and they had roasted red pepper soup as a special and it was special. I ate the first half of my burrito before I remembered to take a pic.

I have not found any place served good Lemon crepe as this place. The atmosphere is really nice and comfortable. Beautiful paitings arounds. Perfect place for a special breakfast with a special friends, guest, or family. The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly.They dont just have sweet breakfast but also have protein riched, sandwhich, special breakfast section on the menu.It is always packed ! So go early to save the spot!Everyone who lived closed to here definitely already knew how good the place is! But if you are new, just have to go and check it out for a nice breakfast on a beautiful weekend morning.

Very busy, perfect service, excellent food, good value for the money. It is three separate restaurants and a coffee shop under one roof. The food was expertly prepared. Delicious coffee and a fair price. I will be coming back. Parking leaves a lot to be desired and seating is cozy, if not cramped.

This is my favorite place to eat breakfast anywhere in Wisconsin...I mean Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes 😍😍😍. If those are gone, the omelettes are also fantastic. We split the strawberry Nutella crêpe as a shared breakfast appetizer. The place looks small, but it winds back far and is often busy (for good reason!!) If theres a wait, its worth it.

Our family was visiting eau claire and decided to give this place a try. I sent my boyfriend to pick up our order. Fist id like to start off with the service. From what he told me, Its impeccable. Second, I ordered a sandwich that included two Portobello mushrooms caps on it. I dont know what compelled me to order this because I Dont like mushrooms lol but WOW the sandwich was so good! I didnt even take the mushrooms off lol. My boyfriend got a salmon bagel he wasnt a huge fan. I finished his sandwich lol but heres the kicker I Dont LIKE FISH EITHER. But his salmon sandwich was delightful. The salmon tasted like it was fresh out of the water. I still dont like fish or mushrooms but every time im in eau claire I will be eating here.

Ill admit that we planned a bit of our accommodations and location selection around Eau Claire just so we could try this place. It did not disappoint, even if having to do takeout wasnt nearly as memorable as dining in would have been.I had the lemon-ricotta pancakes with the whip cream and strawberries, and they were delightful. The pancakes were moist (sigh, had to say it) and flavorful plain and could have been eaten that way, unlike your average pancake that doesnt include fruit. I think the lemon could have even been punched up a bit, but thats for my attempt to make these at home :)So many good choices, we have to return so that we can try the others. The fruit crepes are on my short list.

We love the Nucleus. I tend to get the bagel sandwich, it is a million times better than the bagel sandwiches from Einsteins. My husband loves all of their skillets. The food is filling and they are pretty fast at preparing it.

Im trying to order take out and Im out of town an hour away. There is nothing but a busy signal and this is the only vegan option in the area.

Probably the best spot for breakfast / brunch in Eau Claire. Excellent food and a menu with nice variety without being overwhelming, and since they share a space with a top notch coffee shop you can also get that with your food. The downside: the place is usually packed during peak hours, specials usually run out if you arent there early, and youll probably wait 45-60 minutes for your food... but it will be worth it.

Came here for brunch while in town. The atmosphere is modern, but welcoming. Improvements can be made in the way of service, but the food more made up for the slow, meh service we received!

Really cool place for brunch. The wait for the food was decently long. Big portion sizes which is good for the higher price point. Got a coffee which was kind of expensive for the small cup of cold brew. Overall cool place and good food.

I came here for breakfast with my girlfriend since its a well known place near campus. I got the 1st prize meal and was seriously let down. It came to my table cold the butter on the toast was not melted. I then tried the sausage which I would truely compare to McDonalds after giving it to my girlfriend we concluded it was a mcgriddle patty. The eggs were of the same quality tasting like the mcdonalds breakfast platter meal. She got the French toast which tastes like it has been doused in Lemmon juice and she couldnt even pallet. We left with much of our food on our plates sadly let down. With the meal price coming to 20$ with 1 coffee I wouldnt reccomend this to anyone looking for quality breakfast. The atmosphere wasnt bad the servers were inattentive.

Atmosphere was awesome, good selection was very nice. Kid friendly. There is a wooden changing table in the restroom that had extra wipes for babies and a nice cloth/paper liner to lay down. Very nice.

I would give this place zero stars if I had the chance. Being from a big city and moving to Eau Claire for college, I was excited to check out local businesses and restaurants around the town. Everyone recommends this place for breakfast, but I think it is overhyped and underwhelming. No matter what time you get there, it is always packed, due to the small seating and poorly organized tables. Was sat in a corner directly next to the kitchen where my friends were pushed up against a wall, and I was in the aisle next a corner leaving the kitchen. They seem to always be out of one or more items, and you will have AT LEAST a 45 minute wait for food, if you get seated. The waiters try to be spunky, but come off as rude and unapproachable. The food is overpriced for a waffle or crepe with some fresh food thrown on top, and they refuse to cater to allergies and dietary needs. I have given this restaurant multiple chances, and each time they disappoint me with something new. If youre looking for a good breakfast spot in Eau Claire, try anywhere else.
