Just a brief note to share my experience with the owners of the Blue Ox Running Store. I was in Eau Claire on Sunday watching the marathon runners, including my adult daughter. I decided to run alongside her on Barstow Avenue to give her some encouragement. Unfortunately, I tripped and fell. The owner of the store was Johnny on the spot and helped me up and tended to my bruises inside his store. Thank you again for your kindness!

I’m currently suffering from peroneal tendinitis (almost 4 months now) in both legs/feet. I knew I needed to upgrade my shoes, and I read about Blue Ox and their experience with running, so I figured they may know what I was dealing with. I’m not a runner, which I explained, and also explained my current feet issues. The owner put me in a pair of shoes, checked my gait on the store floor, checked my balance, & then got me on a treadmill to get a closer look at my gait! He came out with three pairs of shoes, and the employee who took over was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure that I left with the correct shoes. Best shoe shopping experience I’ve ever had!

I highly, highly, highly recommend this store. I am post-chemo, and have neuropathy in my toes. Alicia, fitted me with a pair of Altra shoes, and thicker, warmer socks. What a difference! Great place to get new running shoes, the staff is really helpful and knowledgeable on their shoes in stock and have up to date shoes. They also have a treadmill you can test your shoes on. They also have a ton of other running apparel, accessories and more. A bit expensive but great quality, definitely recommend checking them out

I am a beginner runner and the first week of my couch to 5K program I started having heel pain. I decided to go to the experts at Blue Ox Running. The owners analyzed my gait and I found me some proper running shoes. They were so nice and I did not feel any pressure to buy any particular shoe. I had such a pleasant experience and will be back. I am 11 weeks into my program and no heel pain! Yay!

So I needed new shoes for track since my friend told me I had no cusion on my shoes and I needed new shoes ASAP (my feet were killing me, and I was complaining to him.) He said go to blue ox and I said ok. I looked at their reviews and they were all 5 stars. I thought that was sketchy, but when I went there, I could see why had only 5 star reviews. Literally got me new shoes that were perfect in less than 10 min. They pointed out what I needed, like how much of a cusion/how much support, and they were super friendly. Great people running that store. If I could give a 6/5 review, I would. I literally never gave a shop a review since I didn’t think it was worth it, but this shop is definitely worth giving a review
