First time customer. Impressed with the great service. Will definitely continue to use Orr to service my BMW.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.First, they are warm and inviting to any questions or inquiries you might have and really is a hand tailored personalized experience that’s hard to find, let alone beat. The shop went through every detail they find in person and what it entails which is above and beyond because half of the things they found didn’t require fixing and just comes to show they are truly in it for the customer. When it comes to pricing they are very reasonable and much cheaper especially when it comes to comparatively to other shops in the twin cities area. I was originally at another shop and when I brought it here they informed me I didn’t need to replace a part that I was told needed replacing at previous shop and price came out to a third of what was originally quoted. They have earned a lifetime customer and I couldn’t recommend them any more than I already have above.
Outstanding service and attention to detail. They stand behind their work and are extremely knowledgeable!
We use this shop 10 years for our cars and I trust them they will do great work. Always good communication and honest recommendations.
Orr Autosport cares about their customers and maintaining a good reputation. I brought my 2016 X5 in recently for new brakes as the BMW dealership said I needed new brakes. Orr was only 75% of what the dealership was going to charge so I made an appointment with Orr. After I dropped my car off, they called me back after looking at it and said I don’t need new brakes! The dealership tried to rip me off. I went back to pick up my car and they didn’t charge me anything. It’s nice be to know there are good honest mechanics out there. We are customer’s for life now.
The best BMW / Mini shop in the Midwest. Very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough from the technicians all the up to its owner. Advice you can trust at very fair prices.
I have been taking my MINIs here since about 2008. With BMW and MINI, once the dealership warranty expires, I would suggest that you go here for service. They are highly honest, competent, and professional in every way. They will not overcharge you for anything, or claim that your car needs any additional work that it doesn’t really need. The same cannot be said for Motorwerks! Ask me about the time Motorwerks claimed that my whole foglight housing was “corroded” and wanted $450 to replace a $40 bulb. You can always trust Orr. Prices are fair, as well.I have had nothing but 100% good experiences with this business. They’re great.
Orr Autosport inspected a used vehicle that I was looking to purchase. They went over their process and what the inspection covered. Part way through the inspection I received a call outlining numerous issues with the vehicle. With the information from the partial inspection, I decided to pass on the vehicle. I am grateful for the team at Orr Autosport and for saving me potentially thousands on repairs on a new to me vehicle.
THE BEST IN MINNESOTA HANDS DOWN!From low competitive pricing to outstanding customer service. You dont get this type of service and experience at many places even outside the auto repair industry. A+++These guys truly specialize in the cars they work on. I own a 2009 BMW and will only take my car to Orr Autosport. Less expensive than dealerships and definitely no other customer service from any other local auto shop or dealerships could even compare to Orr Autosport.Very good with communication. They work on your car as soon as its brought in and call you back the same day with updates. Not only that, their shop is extremely clean and well designed. I love the fact that it was designed with the customer in mind. Probably the only shop Ive seen where the garage bay has a full glass display so you can see how many techs and cars are in their garage being worked on. I love the older BMWs that are parked inside their shop for display. They have a super friendly dog that chills in the lounge as well! (Can I pet that dog?)Brian and Chris are very very polite, knowledgeable, and take care of your car like its their own. These guys even answered my call one evening after closing time to help me troubleshoot my car problems. They go the extra miles to take care of you. Every penny I spent at this shop was well worth it and I will continue to do business with these guys and continue to recommend their shop.Honestly, I was ready to get rid of my BMW and purchase something else but with them being local Ive decided to keep my car for as long as it can run because I know I have a shop that will take care of me if I encounter future issues. If you have a BMW, Audi or MINI make sure you call these guys first!
These guys are great.
Brian and the service group got my car in and out. I thought my vehicle needed an alignment but upon the alignment check the car was still in spec. Honest service is the best kind of service. Would recommend.
Excellent experience all around. Chris is super nice and personable, he was very accommodating to my situation. I usually turn wrenches myself, but just didnt have time to address a big problem. I was sure it was a specific problem, turns out I was wrong and they pinpointed it right away. Very impressed. Labor was extremely reasonable, especially for something I didnt want to fix myself!Orr Autosport has my trust and I will be calling them again in the future.
Honest automotive repair for our BMW! These guys are patient and listen to your problem. They have even suggested to me that certain items can wait to be fixed. The shop is clean and there is a large viewing window in the waiting area. They have a great golden retriever that will happily wait beside you while your car is fixed. Courtesy cars are available for a very modest fee. I would recommend them to anybody looking to have their BMW serviced.
Vehicle: 2014 X5 issues: leaking oil, heads up stopped working, intermittent electrical issues, rain sensor activated wipers stop working. (Being a BMW owner for a while I’m expecting not such good things)However, Brian patiently listened to my self diagnosing rant, took my keys put me in my loaner. Within a couple hours, I had a call with all the issues solutions plotted:- Oil change to stop the bad gasket on oil filter- New Battery- fix all electrical issues- Get sensor reattached to windshieldRUNS PERFECT! Great service and quick, they have a new client for life!
These guys are great. Had weird issue another shop worked on for 2 days before giving up, I got a call within a hour after Orr checked it out. Very impressive shop.
Don’t waste your time here. I spent a few hundred dollars on diagnosing a problem with my bmw. They were unable to come up with a fix. Another time they said they can’t fix a very basic well known engine gasket leak problem that bmw has. Whenever I call, Chris seems very bothered to take the time discussing maintaining my cars. The prices are on par with the dealerships. Bring your car anywhere else.
Great folks and never a problem with their work. I had a high mile modern BMW, so I was no stranger to the place. They fixed every issue I had reasonably and referred me to other specialists when certain work was outside of their wheelhouse.I wish every car manufacturer had a specialized indy shop in the twin cities on Orrs level.
Knowledge staff, great prices, honest assessment of the problem. As someone who does my own repairs, I dont generally deal with mechanics, but I decided to bring out in for repairs this time. I left with a lower bill than I expected, along with a list of things that didnt need to be done now, but I could work in with my next oil change. I highly recommend them.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always very quick with basic services and let me know when/if to expect other repairs on my older vehicle. I feel like I can trust them to tell me the truth about repairs
Ive had a couple services on my Audi done at Orr. Chris, Brian, John, Joe, all the guys are really friendly. The work is top notch, and they use super high quality parts. Im a nut, and I love my car, and these guys get that. John, my mechanic seems passionate about cars, Audis in particular, which is awesome! I feel like I can trust them more than the dealership, I know Im not just a number, and theyre going to do the job right. Whats more amazing the personalized service. They get to know you, your name, and your car. You can actually talk to the mechanics and not just an advisor. So glad I found them! Super cute dog in the lobby too!
Fantastic place! I recently started getting my BMW serviced there and it is by far my favorite place to take it. The staff is the best Ive seen, very friendly with an extensive knowledge about BMWs and performance cars alike. Every time Ive taken my car there, they have always done a great job of repairing it and making sure everything was working properly! I dont normally post reviews, but the level of great service here made me feel compelled to do so for these guys! Definitely would recommend to anybody looking for a great place to get your car serviced and for car enthusiasts alike! And by the way, that golden retriever is adorable!
Ive had minor services completed at Orr before and Ive always really liked the place. My experience today cemented my positive opinion of the shop. I replaced a number of parts on my car and needed an alignment so I naturally chose Orr.John was my technician and he really went above and beyond while servicing my vehicle. He noticed a few things that I hadnt done properly and quickly righted the issues before performing the alignment. My car now drives better than it ever has under my ownership. Everyone at the shop has an eye for detail and it really shows.I noticed my license plate bracket was crooked and loose when I dropped the car off so I made a mental note to fix it when I got home. It looks like John caught that and fixed it for me too because now its perfectly level and has been tightened up. This is, of course, a really small detail but it says a lot. Youd be hard pressed to get this kind of service at most shops. Orr rocks.
Excellent. Went in to get my breaks checked because it was an older car and I just wanted to make sure everything was all good. My brakes were fine and ORR did not charge me anything! Great people, great service.
Great service, and great prices
I normally do not write reviews but Orr Autosport deserve it! Brought in my 2007 BMW to get repaired here and I had the best experience! THANK YOU Chris for the honesty!!!
Extreme levels of professionalism take place at this shop. Oh, and they have a dog. His name is Mika, youll love him - I love him, we all love him.If you have a BMW or MINI, taking your car anywhere else is truly the worst mistake youll ever make while owning that vehicle
This is the only place I will ever take my BMW!! They were straight forward and honest about what needed to be repaired on a my car and gave me a plan to complete future repairs. The best thing was they were about 45% less in cost to BMW of Minnetonka. Thanks
Quick, easy, cheap. I sent my girlfriend in with my 525i. There real straight forward and do what they say there gonna do. Thank you for everything!
Thumbs up! I found them through Tire Rack as I needed new tires for my 2011 535i Sport. In the week leading up to the tire appointment the engine fan was going crazy so I had them look into that which turned out to be the water pump which I had them replace. They didnt push me on a few other problems they found, instead they alerted me to them so I could plan ahead. Those were common problems in that model (oil filter housing gasket, and another gasket too). I have no problem with the big box BMW dealerships but I feel Im paying extra for the fancy showroom and pastries in the waiting area which I dont need. The individual attention and knowledge that I get from Chris and Brian at Orr Autosport is why Ill use them again.
Nothing but good things to say here. I am very particular with my BMW but have no issues handing over the keys to them. Just bought the car and brought it in for an alignment, but it all checked out so they told me it was not needed and paid much less.Bottom line, if you own a BMW and you dont go to Orr, you are making a mistake.
He good service.
Orr Autosport has always given me honest, affordable, and quality service. They can and have given competitive quotes when compared to the dealer, and I thank them immensely for this. Owning a BMW can be expensive but they make it affordable without sacrificing quality or customer service.I brag to my friends whenever I get to come and work from Orr Autosport also because I get to hang out with the golden retriever while my care gets fixed. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Easily one of THE best foreign car repair specialists in the area. Always easy to deal with, and they get the work done extremely fast.
Orr Autosport has been servicing our cars for a number of years. Very knowledgeable, very professional. They have solved many problems for us. Id highly recommend Chris and his staff.
As expert and fair as Bimmer repair gets
Great shop for European cars.
A very good and capable shop, especially with mini coopers.
They seem willing to talk and are very nice. Not too common for the car business. I will be taking my business here from now on!
I have been working with Chris and his team since 1995, and wouldnt go to anybody else. Not like the big dealer experience, we talk cars, they explain the issues, and fix it right every time.
Best place to bring your BMW or Mini. Service is phenomenal and they have actual BMW techs that know what they are doing and are passionate about BMWs. I will not go any other place with my BMWs except ORR. And Lola the golden retriever is the best part about bringing my car here:)*update 8/14* Orr has a new customer service rep and I am thrilled to have met him this morning during my oil change. He has some big shoes to fill:)
Purchased a used BMW a 2004 ZHP. Had a PPI done on it at a shop in SD and the mechanic said I absolutely had to repair a few things. Decided to purchase the vehicle and brought it to Orr to do the work. They called me within an hour and said I dont need to replace the major fix at all and another thing could easily wait a year. They easily could have taken my money and I wouldnt have known. I had them do a couple preventative things because I appreciated the honesty and needed them done anyways. I will bring my zhp to them for as long as possible. I am very impressed. Also I never write reviews, I was compelled to do it for this business.
Great service! No work is small, very helpful.
Have done one service so far, looks good and professional. Will go to them for more in future.
Good value and great customer service!
Ive been taking my car to Orr Autosport for almost 10 years. (even before they moved to this location.) Most of what they have done for me was for track / autosport. Ive always received great service, and great advice from Chris who knows cars and racing. The free wi-fi and ice cream are just a bonus at this good shop. If you have a BMW or Mini I would recommend going here and getting it done right.
I have been using Orr Autosport exclusively for the past several years for my E46 BMW. Finding an independent shop that is trustworthy, responsive, and knowledgeable is not easy, but Orr Autosport has always met and exceeded my expectations. You get the opportunity to really understand what is going on and why any repair is being completed. Try getting this from a dealer! You also get the chance to talk to the tech who is working on your car and also see what they are talking about. Their techs are enthusiasts, who know BMWs inside and out, and who really care about the quality of work being done.Orr has built a long reputation for being one of THE go to shops in the twin cities for BMW and MINI. They do everything from basic maintenance to performance work, and have done both for me over the years with great results. Their pricing is competitive with other independent shops (some of which do much lower quality work, ask me how I know!) and much lower than the dealer alternatives.Going to Orr Autosport means getting it done right, for a fair price, by people who truly care about what they do. That is why I would highly recommend you stop by the shop and check it out for yourself!
Good option compared to BMW dealerships
I brought my 2003 BMW 330i ZHP to Orr for the first time yesterday. After hearing good things about them from many people, I had to try them out for myself. Every aspect of my experience was fantastic. First, I was greeted by Brian, who was friendly and very professional. He explained what was going to be done to my car and said I was welcome to wait in their waiting area. While waiting, I was able to make friends with Lola, the owners beautiful golden retriever. Chris Orr, the owner, came in shortly thereafter and introduced himself. While waiting, I made good use of their free wifi, which was very fast. A few minutes later, the technician (John) brought me back to the service area, and he and Chris explained the work that needed to be performed on my vehicle. They were both very knowledgable and willing to answer the questions my questions. John explained that he currently owns an E36 M3 and recently (regrettably?) sold his E30 M3. Needless to say, I felt that my car was in very capable hands. When the work was completed, John again retrieved me from the waiting area and showed me everything that he had done. While he was pulling the car to the front of the shop, Brian went over the bill with me. Everyone there was very professional and friendly, and the fact that the shop was filled with BMWs also helped put me at ease. Overall, I couldnt have been more impressed with my experience.
Great service!
Very trustworthy. Very knowledgeable.
I asked for a quote over the phone. The gentleman on the other line Didnt seem to want to help me.all take my money else where.
Great service, honest business
Cool people, fair prices
