I was really impressed with Sterling Fence! They took in my yard when another company left me hanging and they did fantastic. I love our California style fence. Within a couple weeks of the spring thaw they came to put in posts then less than two weeks later my fence was complete! They even said they’d come out to fix the orientation of the gate because my husband guessed wrong. All in all, I had a good experience contrary to the other reviews I saw and I’m happy I decided to give them a shot!! Very pleased and will recommend.

I cannot recommend Sterling Fence. We had to replace a fence because we have an autistic son who is prone to elope, and he could get out of our previous fence. They came to take down the old fence, left the old footings in the ground, took two weeks just to get the new posts up, and then another two weeks to get the panels up. A month. A month to install a fence, leaving our vulnerable son in a dangerous situation. Unacceptable. Communication was terrible - no shows on days we agreed they would be here to work, no phone call to let us know they had to reschedule, days to return phone calls, I had to call to get the schedule of when theyd be here, they never offered the information, etc. Quality of work is completely irrelevant when the professionalism is this bad.

Called three companies, two of them said theyd have a sales rep call me back, I was able to make an appointment with Stearling on my initial call with them. Sterling came out two days later and gave me an estimate on a new wood fence. I was impressed with stearling and decided to go with them and not wait for the other two to call me back. That day I applied for their no interest financing and was approved. Fence will go in in May, never did hear back from the the other two companies. Overall experience has been great!

I saw some bad reviews on here and thought I would give them a try anyway, because my neighbor suggested them. I called and they were very responsive and came out to give me a quote right away. I had them install a privacy fence and it turned out beautiful. I would recommend them.

Sterling was one of the few companies willing to do a small job at my new home that other companies did not want to bother with. I needed a single gate turned into a double on my existing chain link fence so I could store a boat in my backyard over the winter.Office manager, Dhea, was very responsive with her communication, answering my questions, providing a written quote, and keeping me up to date as to the timing of the job. My job was not urgent, and I able to give them an 8 week window to work in -- my only request was that the job be completed by the end of October, and it was. The final bill was for the exact same amount as the quote -- no surprises there.Pedro did a great job making the new gate and installing it. He even called my attention to the rust damage on the bottom of my existing gate (that I was unaware of) and checked with me if he should continue or if I wanted to pause the project to fix the rusting gate.I am very pleased with Sterling and will be doing another project involving plastic fence panels with them in the spring.

No call, no showed an estimate appointment.If you cant respect a potential customer enough to call and say youre running late or have to reschedule you shouldnt be running a business.After not showing-up to our appointment, I called their office and spoke with Dia. She said she would figure out what was going on but got side tracked and I had to call back again only to hear about truck troubles from Dan.Whether thats true or not, there is no consideration for clients schedules. I would not recommend them.

EDIT: Consumer beware! A lot of the 5 star reviews here are from employees and the owner.The lack of communication and customer service is appalling. My wife and I wanted to get an estimate for our fence to be repaired. They gave a rough estimate (based on pictures only), but they never came out to do an actual estimate. We fell off their schedule to get an estimate, so when we didnt hear anything from them for 3 weeks my wife called them back and we didnt hear anything from them until one day I came home and the work was done.They replaced a post of our fence (part of the work we were going to have done) without telling us they were going to be working on our fence. They didnt align the top bar of the fence with the top of the post. The work that was done was not work I would call quality.The only time we heard back from them is when we contacted them. Ive never dealt with such an unprofessional service company. I am recommending to all of my friends, family, and colleagues to NOT DO business with Sterling Fence Inc.

I called because of the lack of communication regarding the installation time frame and asked to speak to owner but he was not available. A few days later I called because my 50# dog could escape - fence did not extend to the bottom of my property. The next day another call because my fence didn’t pass inspection. I was told I would be kept up to date on when the fixes would happen but did not receive any calls; I had to continue to call to ask when it would all be taken care of. I did finally get a call from the owner asking for the remainder of the bill to be payed!

Sterling Fence has done work for me in my last 2 homes. I never hesitate to call them. Consistency of service is important to me and I get it with them. The material they use and the quality of the workmanship is topnotch, I just place an order and it is never a worry. I feel fortunate to know of a company like this. Its not easy these days to find that in a service company.

We have an excellent rating with the Better Business Bureau.When you called on July 1, you spoke to our repair department and said 10 posts need to be replaced due to rotting. We sent you an estimate for those 10 posts stating that if more posts are required we would charge 175.00 each.You placed the order on July 18, with your down payment on Visa card. You sent the proposal covered with notes written with a magic marker, which stated Est OK per Aaron Burr. We processed the order and sent a foreman to your property to see if there were obstacles to schedule the job. He saw that the fence lines were overgrown with brush that needed to be cleared in order to do the job. We talked to you and you cleared those areas. In disassembling the fence, 3 additional posts needed replacement, which we did.Our understanding was that you wanted the posts replaced that needed replacement. We always want to do the best job we can and do repairs in a complete and thorough way. We didnt have you sign a work order for the additional work so legally you are not required to pay this part of the bill.Again we apologize for any disappointment that you may have had with our service or product. Just had a privacy fence put in, it looks great. We have used Sterling Fence in the past and they always did a great job. The work crew was professional and courteous and fast. They didnt stop working and were done under 3 hours. I would recommend them to anyone.

Sterling did a lovely job on our fence. They were prompt and the installation crew were very communicative. They build on site which is such a plus because they can make tweaks with your permission as they build. Communication was prompt from all of the employees I had contact with.

Horrible costumer service. You dont show up when you say you are going to, and you do not complete the job on time. And your workers are extremely rude. It is so bad I am not sure how you stay in business.

Returned call. Came to house. Called to say they would call in a couple of days. That was 6 weeks ago. Still waiting. Terrible follow up. Would make soneone think twice about using them for an installation

This company, man oh man. Steer clear of them. We had heard bad reviews but decided to give them a chance. They not only messed up causing a lot of time, hassle, headaches and ruined part of our yard (they never talked to the city about the set back- so no, they dont do their homework!) but they also have written 3, yes 3! different bills. They want to recoup some of their lost income due to their own issues and are trying to pass it onto the customer. After multiple calls and emails we decided its best just to let others know. Sad, we tried hard to work with them but they werent willing to do that. Watch out, Sterling Fence doesnt have customers best interest or care!

I needed some fence parts to fix a damaged fence. I ordered the wrong size parts and Sterling happily corrected my mistake. Nice folks to work with!

I had a great experience, a fair price. They were fast sent 3 men out, the 2 guys worked fast. What was awesome is that where most companies that wont do smaller jobs sterling did. Called other pkaces for quotes they said the job wasnt big enough and is not worth time. They wernt the cheapest by all means but definitely no most expensive. Also needed something repaired don had someone come out 2days later which was great. Dealing with them was a good experience.

We needed some fence posts replaced and Sterling Fence made every effort to get the job done to our liking. We received prompt service, and are very satisfied with the outcome.

I would not recommend Sterling Fence at all. We have received 4 different invoices and all of them have different footages and price points. Daniel Dosen has been out to our house 4 times to measure. They had to remove 16 posts from our yard causing damage because they did not follow the city set back on the fence law for city guidelines. Their customer service is absolutely terrible, and the owner does not want to work with his customers if they are unhappy, since the issue we are having is Sterling Fences issue. They do not follow city guide lines nor check with the city before installing a fence, they cause damage to your property and they dont care to make it right with the customer, their billing and invoicing is incorrect as they are trying to get more money from us for their mistakes. We will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well since their business practices are not completely ethical as well.I would HIGHLY recommend not using them for your fence project and save yourself the time, money and headache to choose a different company to give your business to.

Horrible customer service! Once they install your fence, any issues, your on your own. Scheduled a repair and they never showed! Bad!!!!

Their Sales Rep Daniel Dosen was a complete tool. My fence was destroyed by a driver and Daniel quoted me for the replacement of 55 of fence. The insurance adjuster stated that they will replace 135 of the fence which is probably still on the low end. When I reached out to Daniel to provide an updated quote to reflect 135 of fence replacement he wouldnt return phone calls or emails. Here we are two weeks later and I still havent heard from him or anyone at Sterling with an updated quote yet my fence is still laying on the ground needing to be repaired. Stay away from this ridiculously unprofessional company at all costs. Theyll low ball your quote to get in the door, raise the price after the fact and their customer service ranks among the worst Ive ever dealt with.

I contacted Sterling Fence through their website and was called right away. That earned a star. But after saying they would contact me with a quote, I have heard nothing from them. Its been weeks.
