Went to matcha Love by Ito En for green tea and black sesame soft serve. A small cup is $4.25 and dont be mislead, a small cup is still massive! Unfortunately because of COVID precautions, they dont offer cones but they offer waffle cups. The wait does take a bit of time but I think it was totally worth it!
One of my favorite places to get bubble tea (boba tea). All of them are excellent. I also enjoy the ice creams here as they are full of flavor especially if your interest is in Asian flavors of ice cream. You can get some of the latest ito en flavors and loose leaf teas. They have nice tea equipments and glassware but they are pricey. You may get a better deal online or off itoen.com. I always get something here when I come to Mitsuwa
Literally the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. It’s sooo creamy and thick and buttery and smooth, but also light and airy in your mouth, and somehow not too sweet. Really great sesame and matcha flavors. I don’t know how they do it, my only guess is maybe they use full fat heavy cream instead of cutting it with milk. I wish I could give this place more stars because it’s actually ridiculous how good it is.
Very nice green tea matcha boba shake. there is not any seen matcha powder. The matcha taste not sweet and not bitter, very smoothly. I like this shake very much. the boba is good too, not too hard and not too soft. Hardness is just right.the only thing I want to complain is that the shop is too far from my home
Love their matcha drink! Would love to try ice cream next time.
I didn’t know soft serve ice cream could be this creamy!! First off, don’t be scared by the line. Service is quick here so it only took us like 8 minutes to place our order and get the ice cream when we thought it’d take 20 mins. Also! The matcha and black sesame twist is to die for. So creamy. The portion is great too! Would definitely come back next time.
Nice ice cream place located inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. A great place for boba tea, shakes, and some soft serve ice cream. They also have a variety of different teas. Depending on the season they can have special varieties like sakura blossom tea.Their hoji ice cream is some of my favorite: it is roasted green tea and it is smooth and phenominal. The staff tends to be friendly and the service is quite quick. If youre visiting Mitsuwa and want some nice ice cream after id definitely head to this location!
Go-to bubble tea place. So yummy, especially the mango one!
One of my favorite matcha place that I would come buy a grab a cup drink for every visit! The drink taste so delicious.
The Matcha Love is the original and still the best.
Best matcha ice cream I have, I always drive from brooklyn whenever I crave for matcha ice cream or shakes
Tiny little counter serving yummiest soft serve icecream. Matcha is good, but I like the black sesame and hojicha (roasted green tea) flavors as well. I try to stop in whenever Im in the area.
I always stop by here whenever Im at Mitsuwa. I highly recommend the matcha latte and the soft serves. They close thirty minutes early sometimes, so just keep that in mind when you stop by.
Matcha Love is definitely one of my favorite places to buy a matcha latte and matcha ice cream.
First time visit. Id give it more stars however, the person that was behind the counter was incredibly rude when I asked what time theyd be open. Based on Yelp, I thought they opened at 9:30AM so my friends and I could start with matcha lattes and wait in the marketplace food court area for the other food vendors to open. Unfortunately, the closed sign was still up and when I asked the person behind the counter what time they opened, she snapped at me and said 11AM.We ended up going back later in the day and waited in line. Thankfully, there was a nicer older woman at the front giving out samples of their milk tea that was on sale. Then, a younger guy behind the counter at the cash register that was super friendly. My friends and I each got the matcha and black sesame soft serve twists. Very tasty. Not overly sweet. The matcha was a lighter flavor than expected so it really let the black sesame flavor shine.Id go to Matcha Love again, but probably would want to find a different location.
This place serves the best boba shakes. If you are do try the hoji boba shake -its the best
LOVE their green tea & black sesame soft serve. I would literally take an hour drive just to get their ice cream. Not the friendliest staff but giving 5 stars just for the ice cream.
Horrible customer service. I ordered half matcha and half sesame flavor and they mixed them together!! What the hell is that mixture!? They refused put half on the bottom and half on the top because its against company policy. Never going back to a company whos policy is idiotic as that.
Disappointed by its name, but its still ice cream. Its ironic that this place is named Matcha Love, maccha is probably their weakest flavor. If youve ever had good Japanese style maccha ice cream or soft serve, youll know they dont put enough maccha powder into the ice cream here. The hojicha ice cream was pretty good though. Next time, Ill try their black sesame, its hard to go wrong with that flavor.
Delicious black sesame ice cream.Service is great!
Hoji is my absolute favorite, cant wait to try their Dallas location when we move
Matcha heaven!!!! Delicious. Lines are long during weekends so prepare to wait for your soft serve.
Soft serve is awesome but they keep reducing the portion sizes :(
Softcream is only reason why we come here we like their hojicha.
Im a matcha fanatic. In fact, Im writing this review while sipping a matcha latte. So when I found out that there was a Matcha Love less than 0.5 miles away from the tennis club where I was watching a few matches, I was stoked to say the least.Matcha Love by Ito En is located inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Edgewater. Mitsuwa is a Japanese marketplace that has lots of food stands, bakeries, bookstores, gift shops, and a supermarket. Matcha Love is located right in the middle of the marketplace. The line was long but it moved quickly. I ordered the triple ice waffle bowl with matcha, black sesame, and Madagascar vanilla. For $5, there is plenty of ice cream! I love black sesame ice cream too, so this was the perfect treat for me. They put a waffle in a small bowl and then squeeze out matcha, black sesame, and vanilla ice cream from their ice cream machine. In addition to soft serve, they also offer bubble teas, lattes, and hot teas. You can even purchase ceremonial matcha powder, loose leaf teas, and various tea tumblers/teapots/cups here.Staff is friendly and quick. The ice cream is delicious, especially the matcha and black sesame. If youre nearby, Id recommend stopping by for some dessert. All hail Matcha Love!
Best Matcha Ice Cream Hands Down
Best matcha bubble tea ever
Hojicha is my favorite
The bubba here only comes in 4 flavors and the tapioca balls have a horrible consistency
Great Japanese style soft serve
Great
I like Matcha soft ice cream.
Sesame ice cream is delicious
