Me and my girlfriend frequent this store. That being said, this place always has a great selection of goods for great prices. You also cant beat the food court lunch box. They are very generous with their servings and the price cant be beat. The other stores there are worth a look too, as me and my girlfriend almost always get bread when we go after making our rounds. Love this place
I bought big tiliapia today & had them fry it for me while i shopped around. After few mins i came back & still my tiliapia was not done. And when the guy finally handed me over my cooked fish (and so i thought) after 45 mins, it was 3 cooked crabs instead. The tickets matched but the item did not. Of course i discovered this at home & it ‘s not worth it to drive back. The crabs had no meat & what a waste of money.
If you enjoy cooking, this is your place. Beautiful cuts of meats, tons of variety, edgy and adventurous options in every category. Really fresh food.
Nice grocery store. Good quality fresh produce.Wide variety of Asian products as well as familiar American brands.Located in Wicks Plaza where Pathmark used to be.There is a Cricket store inside, a bakery section, and a ready made food section.Lottery is available here, but they dont sell scratch offs.🛒👍$$
Came here to grab some spicy noodles they offer many different brands and favor. This is one of my favorite Korean /Asian market. Prices are convenient and they always have great deals. My favorite thing about this place are the wide varieties of different snacks from Korea. Inside they have public restroom, a beauty store, and a Korean restaurant. There is handi cap parking. And this store is not overly crowded. You must wear a mask to enter !
As a grocery store, this place is great. The food court seems to be in decline, though. Only 2 of the places in the food court were open around 5 PM on a Friday. The prices in the grocery store were really excellent for imported goods and the selection was very good.
Convenience is key here. Lines are short, bagging is fast. What more could you want?
Great variety good prices. Food seems to be fresh. I go here often
Perhaps the best Asian supermarket in this town. The prices are a little higher but well worth it because everything looks fresh. All the shelves are very well stocked and it offers a wide selection of choices. The best thing is if you spend over $20 it gives you a $1 coupon. $10 after you get $1 each. My family use the coupon and exchange for breakfast breads and buns.
Good to see the lunch bar is open again. Steamed fish in ginger scallion sauce, fried jumbo shrimp, steamed veggies. Great value & yummy lunch deal.
Super clean, huge market with lots of selection. It does get a little busy on the weekends but during off hours, its empty and you can take all the time you need. The lines are always short even with multiple registers. Ive been coming here for about a year now and I would recommend to anyone.
Great assortment of snacks and groceries, but be careful of products made in China! Its getting to be too many, but were always sure to look at the label before buying.
I love to shop here. Lots of hidden treasures. The only reason I am giving four stars is for the language. There are some food items which are marked only in Chinese which sometimes make you pick some random stuff.
Nice layout and display, goods are in order. Location is also great.
Did you know you could get fish fried if your choice? I mean! My life just got way simpler! Good selection and wide variety of fruits and vegetables
Prices fair, nice selections of Asian imported foods. Food concession are good fair pricing.
Wow! Everything you never knew you needed . I love cooking shows so its great to find and be able to use ingredients from the best chefs. The prices are reasonable so doesnt hurt to try. Baked goods are delicious
Fresh produce.. very good selection of Asian food..
Very clean and neat. All kinds of food.Seafood section is nice, they can steam or fry for you free. But find sea food prices grow up.
Its a well stock all around east and west supermarket. Meat, vegetables, seafood, dry grocery, frozen foods, soda, small electronic appliances.Theres a small food court where one can enjoy the hot dishes bought from hot deli, bakery and beverage stands in the food court.Hot deli and bakery are self served.
Every supermarket bags groceries except this one. H-mart, Kam man, all bag groceries for their customers which is supposed to be the standard. If you’re not gonna bag then why have cashiers? Might as well have all self checkout. Vegetables are not fresh.
The cashiers attitude was very rude. Every time when we checkout, we ask them if they can scan our membership card, they said that their computer system does not have memberships, but before the membership card works perfectly fine, so we asked them if they can just try, they refused. Therefore, we asked them again to try, we scanned it and the computer showed it had successfully scanned our card, but they still said that we cant use it. And their attitude was very impolite.
Great place to shop, you’ll find a variety of different products that are hard to find like, seeded grapes, burro bananas and different kinds of mushrooms, I love it! The only thing is most people don’t speak English so when I need help, no one can understand me.
Good imported boxed products with competitive prices. Well maintained store. Fresh produces, fresh seafood are of subpar quality. Hot food and bakery offerings are not appealing to the Cantonese palates.
If you like orient food and vegetables, you can find most of them in the store.
Always find good stuff here. Love there pastries
Very clean, very well stocked. There is a restaurant inside where you can sit down and eat.
Excellent variety, nicely organized and laid out.
I feel safer shopping at 99 Ranch than any other supermarket. I love that they scan temperatures as you enter and require mask. In other supermarkets, I see maskless shopper, but not here! I like that the cashiers are gloved.I feel that this is a supermarket that cares about our safety. The produce section is one of the best around. Prices are good. Im happy to shop here.
I love the wide selection of Asian products
Large selection of items. Seafood section was best I have see. Pick your fish off the ice display; they will clean it and fry for you. 10 minutes and you are out the door with a delicious whole fish
Good quality, hella expensive (milk, etc. Will be way overpriced.) The bakery makes really tasty cakes and they have a kbeauty store inside (with really good pricing) and other small food/drink shops as well.
Love this place! I go here at least once a week to try different Asian food. Store has super fresh produce and Im amazed at the prices of meat and seafood.
Lot of products mostly Chinese. Overall its huge and good grocery store.
Best produce. Great service.
This place is excellent. It has such a variety of items. The vegetables are always fresh, so is the seafood and meats.
Perfect place for grocery shopping for asian products. Fresh and good price.Even have hot food and bubble tea in house.
Great market with a wide selection of Asian ingredients. There is also baked goods and a great bubble tea place.
Great grocery. But weebs need not apply; plz go to hmart and buy their overpriced pocky.
I grew up near a 99 Ranch Market in Los Angeles and miss having one nearby. It’s a treat to shop in here when I’m in the area. My go-to items are Calpico White Peach, Mochi (peanut, 4 pieces in a pack), Mochi Goma Daifuku (sesame, 1 individually wrapped item), Frozen Pork and Green Onion Buns, Coconut Tart from the bakery, and Sand Pear. They had a Korean BBQ Festival section on April 9th. The selections were great. I purchased Chicken Liver, Marinated Bulgogi Pork Butt, and Marinated Beef Short Rib and all three items were incredibly delicious.
Slighlty older cashier lady with glasses rudely told us to bag our own grocessary. We denied due to her bad attitude, then she got angry and made the whole experience unpleasant. Why hire people who dont like their job?
Amazing asian grocery market. Fresh vegetables
You can always find what you need.
Nice place, interesting prices, very clean, yup I cant complain it.
Great supermarket for Chinese/ Asian ingredients and food. They have a great selection of fish, meat, and also sell duck. Additionally inside is a bubble tea place, bakery, hot food delivery, and two small Asian restaurants. The only downside is that the place gets packed on the weekend when everyone goes to grocery shop.
Some items were fresh.
Good Taiwanese / Chinese grocery selection, produce is incredibly cheap
Excellent choice for Chinese and other Asian authentic groceries, produce, foodstuffs, and other goodies such as dishware, cookware, and small appliances. Clean, organized, and a wide selection. Also includes a fresh bakery, small food court with hot foods, and a bubble tea shop. Edges out Kam Man down the road due to the food court, but the items selection is comparable.
Awesome selection of Asian foods, very clean, and easy to navigate. You can pretty much find everything you need.
By far the best chinese supermarket experience. Varieties of brand name food, many choices. For me, specifically, I love instant noodle, they have by far the most brand to be choose from. They also have this coupon promotion, after you purchase a certain amount they give you a coupon to buy cooked food from the restaurants inside the supermarket. So after shopping you can have a hot meal before you drive your way back. Which is quiet neat as well.
Great place for meats
Has a lot of things from Taiwan so good for snacks and daily groceries. I especially like how they package vegetables in very small portions so its really easy to shop for a house of one or two.
Bigger than Asian Food Market and Kemen Food Market. Price might be a bit lower than others but not an attraction. Hot food section might be a star attracting customers but I kind of doubt that how long could it be. Cashier lanes are not as efficient as Asian Food Market... The lanes creditcard reader I checked out suddenly went dead and I was asked to pay in cash or have to move my purchases to the other long line to start over waiting again.... Unacceptable problem resolution. Maybe I am just an unlucky person. But with this kind of experience, I guess Ill try to avoid shopping here. Good luck to your business.
Good for the Asian people.
Love it! Finally we have Ranch 99 in East Coast! Clean place and friendly staff. The person at the checkout helped us to earn the coupon($1 per $10 purchase). Nice price, for example, the dumplings are $2 cheaper than other Chinese supermarket. I like H-Mart also but I think the food at Ranch 99 is more Chinese. Go to this place almost every weekend since it opened. Cannot wait to see the other new Ranch 99 store in Jersey City!
Great price for asian food. Large slection on taiwanese food. Fresh bun and hot food to go.
Great fruits and veggies and a wide variety of seafood.
Decent supermarket to get Asian veges
Great place to shop outside of NYCs Chinatown.
This is a good store to shop for groceries. Many items such as organ meat of chicken, beef, pork or sashimi grade fish which isnt available at other stores are available here at a reasonable market value.
1 star for the bagger this morning who waited for my mom to bag the meat. You had gloves on, and if you don’t like touching the meat don’t work as a bagger. Someone will happily take your place.
Variety Asian food and fresh.
The store opening time shows 9-5 but they are not letting anyone in before 4:40. The explanation from one of there employees is that they have notice outside on a barrier that they use to block people at the entrance before closing. However, the notice does not say anything about customers are not allowed in ~20-30 min before closing. The only thing it says is be prepared for the line. Also, you will only see that notice when you wait in line. Its not anywhere else. That employee also indicates that they leave at 7pm even if the store closes at 5 pm, and thats the reason they do not let people in ~4:40 (What???).It is fine if they do the same thing before, but when they open until 9pm before, you wont be blocked outside of the store even if you go at 8:50. Customers expecting to go in before store close hours as expected, but they cant. Two years ago, I had a gift card issue with them as well. They had us to come back like two times for the gift card and it spend me like 2-3 hours in total. They say no to their customers for no reason.I never spend this long time on writing review, I am very mad for my visit and my experience with their people. If they feel that they dont like too many customer, then we should not go. They will be happy that they dont have to open that long.
Everything looks very fresh. You can find everything here
Clean, organize and not too crowded.
All shelves were stocked. Some ready to eat area items were present. A lot of frozen & refrigerated items were well stocked. Took your temperature before entering. Stay Well!
I love going to this store. The people are friendly and I am able to find what I need.
This place is awesome, if you love veggies and Asian foods its a must go Supermarket! They check your temperature too! Very clean and the prices on the food will make your money worth it!!! A must go place!!!
Excellent selection for all your Chinese and other Asian food needs. Clean and well staffed. They utilize both thermal camera and temp gun to ensure health of staff and customers. 99 Ranch is good to go!
Pack full of freshness
Very clean and big. It have alot of variety to offer.
Loved the fish frying portion of the business.
Nice place. Hot food section is excellent.
Yoo expensive place.
Place is easy to get to off highway 1 and Plainfield Ave in Edison. They take your temperature before allowing you to go in and rubber gloves are available for you convenience at the door. Place is well stock with all the variety of asian products as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. The bakery is top notch. I went in the middle of the day on Monday and it was not crowded. Not sure how it is in the weekend.
Very expensive compared to others supermarkets
They have what you need.
I find vegetables here more fresh and more varieties as compared to other places. They have good selection of meats as well. Usually get my pork chopped here. I was also looking for Dumpling skin and i found it here. This is my place to go at least once a week. During weekdays students get discount.
A good selection of produce, etc.helpful staff. However, some of the same items (eg apples) are not located near each other
Great choice of authentic Asian groceries. Big choice of veggies and fruits. Share big secret with you: fish is fresh and cheap. Cheaper then in wholesale stores. They can do anything for you with processing fish from just cutting and cleaning to full cooking, steaming or frying. No stinky fishy smell in your kitchen!
Clean and well stocked Asian food market. The selection is well curated
Lots of asian snacks, and very cost effective place to get them.
Great assortment of Asian dry goods and other Asian products.
I for a matter of fact kinda really like this place as do my kids. A food shopping adventure. Try new things and tastes. Who the heck knew fresh lychee nuts were so damn good. I dont know any Chinese and inquired to an older Chinese customer whats good? Response Big red ones No need to say more.
This place is over priced compared to other Asian markets. Bought a box of the Qi sparking water and it is almost double the price from where I original buy them and they were on sale, too. Fruits and vegetable are also over priced, snacks too. I rather just order those snacks from Yamibuy or order Asian apps to be deliver rather than going to 99ranch. Fruits were not fresh either. Bought a Chinese melon and it went bad the next day. I also bought a bag of the dried tofu and it had a really horrible plastic smell to it, it was like I was eating plastic. I guess the only goody I got was from the bakery. I live in philly so it’s not worth it to make a another trip. Not going back. The only satisfaction I got from that trip was Jollibee which was near 99ranch. On top of that the cashier was rude and wasn’t helpful at all.
I do some Asian grocery shopping here occasionally. Prices are moderate if its not on sale otherwise its very affordable. Groceries are decent fresh. Store is nice and clean. In the back, they have bakery stores and several takeouts with tables and chairs if you decide to dine in. I would say that the store is very much complete of Asian ingredients, sauces, spices, seafoods, meats etc. I never had to wait a long cashier line during the weekdays so thats a plus.
99 Ranch Market is a great place to shop if you need Asian products. They have all sorts of vegetables, meats, spices, pastries and more. They also have a small food court with a decent selection of cuisines. I love their hot foods and their pastries. After 6:00 P.M. you can purchase 2 pastry items and get one free. Their prices for their products are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place.
The pricing is a bit high compared to NY chinese markets, esp the meat section.
