Harris Automotive is trustworthy and reliable. When I ask, would you do this to your car when discussion a service, I feel I get a straight answer. They may not be the cheapest oil change, but Ive been so frustrated with other shops that I do everything at Harris now, including oil changes. Highly recommend Harris.

Harris Automotive installed a new starter on my 2004 Lexus RX330. The shop is clean and vehicle was repaired in a timely fashion. The cost of the repair was okay, so it’s not as expensive as a dealership, but it probably will not be the lowest price you find. I could have found the part (starter) cheaper online, but maybe the warranty on the part affected the cost. Harris Automotive is a competent shop that I will consider using for future repairs.

I have never dealt with a more caring, honest and helpful mechanic in my life! Harris automotive is FANTASTIC and reliable. They are even less expensive than nearly every other shop in the Edmond area. They have replaced gaskets, changed oil and worked on my cars transmission and rear-end; all of which were done with the highest quality and least expensive route possible. I HIGHLY recommend them.

My wife and I have been going to Blake for years, long before he opened his own shop. Weve been impressed by his integrity for so long that we not only followed him when he opened Harris Automotive, but hes the only person well see. Even when we moved away from Edmond. When you bring in your car thinking that you need a $500 repair and he tells you that no, all you need is a $150 repair, and your car works beautifully thereafter, why would you go anywhere else?

Blake was my mechanic at another business before he opened Harris Automotive. When that business was sold I looked for him all over Edmond and finally found him. I have always been very satisfied with the work on my cars. He is honest and very competent. I would not take my cars anywhere else. Hes the best.

My husband met Blake when he worked for another oil change shop in Edmond and always appreciated his honesty and knowledge about vehicles. Once he opened his own shop, we started bringing all four of our vehicles to him. Blake has always treated us fairly, recommending service when needed but also letting us know options that might be available to help us to save money. Recently they were working on something on my SUV and accidentally broke a sensor near the area that they were working. They let us know about the error as well as covered the replacement part. You dont always get that kind of honestly from a auto repair shop.

After taking my Cadillac CTS to two other mechanics who couldnt find the source of the mechanical problems, the guys at Harris Automotive found the root of the issue right away & fixed it in a timely manner. An honest mechanic is a rare find. You can tell Blake is honest just by visiting with him. If you are on a budget like me you always wonder what things really need to be fixed when you get the inspection report. Like a surgeon, Blake is able to go through the inspection and tell you what things are urgent and what things you can let slide for a little while (and what is the risk of doing so).

Blake has the highest integrity of any mechanic in OKC. I am so lucky I found him. I had a cylinder misfire, he diagnosed problem correctly(which the dealer didnt-it took 5 times) and then told me it was under warranty so my cheapest option was to take it to dealer! Such a stand up guy, his staff is very knowledgeable and courteous too!

I was recommended to Harris Auto, drove out of the way from Mustang because I wanted somewhere that was reliable and not just tell me theres things to fix when their wasnt. Blake gave me an overrun of what was going on a reasonable price for everything and when I told him my budget, he took off the things that were able to wait and got it down to a price I could work with, I felt confident he knew what he was talking about and that he was completely capable of keeping my car running and safe for me and my child. The facility on the inside felt so clean it was impressive, you didnt feel like youve been in a shop that had been around for years with filthy seating. Since I know nothing about cars, it is very difficult for me to take my car in to be evaluated by someone I dont know; I have to completely take their word about everything. At this place, I really felt secure knowing that I was being told the true options for my poor little dying car; I didnt feel like I was getting steered toward the most expensive option just so someone else could financially benefit. I have been to see Blake Harris a number of times over the past several months. Overall my experience has been top notch. Here is a breakdown (no pun intended) as to why...My initial impression: Most auto places you go to are pretty grungy. Grease stains, dirty floors and grimy bathrooms are par for this industry. If you are lucky you get a cup of burnt coffee and a gruff unintelligible grunt from some grease monkey behind the front desk acknowledging your presence. When I first walked in to Harris I expected the usual. Instead I was pleasantly surprised.Harris auto is CLEAN. Maybe this has something to do with being a new building, but they have been around long enough (over a year) to acquire the coat of grime so ubiquitous to auto repair joints. This is the kind of well-kept-well-maintained kinda clean you see in a medical office.I was greeted shortly after walking in by Blake Harris who I later found out was the owner. He gave the impression that he was happy to see me and eager to help a new customer. He was dressed in the usual coverall, a oil stain here or there, but it was obvious that it had seen a washing machine in the not to recent past. In fact, I swear it was ironed. But just because the guy knows how to maintain his office and uniform clean doesnt mean that he knows how to maintain a car. But I digress....Within about 5 minutes he had my car up on stilts. Within about 45 he delivered the bad news. Your car needs a new oil pan gasket and because of the way your car is designed the repair is kind of labor intensive. What he didnt know is that I already knew this. I had taken the car to another place, who told me I needed a slew of new parts that added up to over 3K in work - (DONT go to that place!) I had also taken it to the dealership who had correctly diagnosed the problem as a leaky oil pan gasket.The price Blake gave me was fair and the total install cost significantly less than what the dealer had quoted me. I had one very minor issue post install, I brought it back and Blake fixed it in about 5 minutes flat. No charge of course.Now I bring both my cars to Harris. I have been in about 6 times for oil changes and other issues over the last 9 months. I feel like I can trust him to do the work and shoot straight with me.He and his staff treat me like gold when I come in. Which I like - I mean I am the customer so should be treated well right? it also feeds my ego which is always hungry. The only negative comment I have is that he uses powdered creamer for the coffee. DISGUSTING. If you serve coffee use real creamer for goodness sake!

HUGE THANK YOU TO BLAKE AND HIS CREW. My wife and 2 kids were about 5 hours into a 13 hour road trip to San Antonio. She ran over a burlap sack that wrapped around the drive shaft and ripped out a wire harness. All lights on the dash board came on. She was able to remove the burlap sack and make it Harris Automotive. They were busy when she showed up but they made room in a stall and took a look under the car, determined that there was no real damage. They even hooked it to the computer and ran the diagnostics. They wouldnt be able to get a replacement wire harness until the next day but decided that she was ok to continue the trip without any damage to the car.Thank you guys for getting our car looked at so quickly and getting her back on the road!!

I have found Harris Automotive to be very reliable, fairly priced and honest. Blake and Cody have always exceeded my expectations.

The alternator light came on in wifes car and she took it to the dealer - they took it in their shop to evaluate and then quoted $1000 to replace the (faulty) alternator (they claimed the steering column must be removed to facilitate the repair).Having bent wrenches myself for years, this sounded excessive, so wanting a 2nd opinion, I scheduled an evaluation at Harris Automotive.By then my wife had made it to her workplace and the car had died.After calling several wrecker companies for towing quotes, they (Harris) were able to get the car towed for considerably less.Knowing ahead of time about the dealer diagnosis and the quote for $1k, Harris evaluated the problem and found it to be the belt idler pulley, which they quoted replacing for around $350.Of course, I approved the repair and it was completed ahead of time, and actually came in a little under their quote!Bottom line:INTEGRITY amongst retail service companies seems to be a dying breed, but Harris Automotive does not conform to that trend. On the contrary, while they could have falsely confirmed the dealer diagnosis and gouged us for $700- $800 (making us think they were giving us a good deal), owner Blake Harris chose integrity over greed and treated us both with personal and ethical respect.Ive always felt that if a business owner combines quality with integrity, the business deserves to rightfully flourishon its own merit, as opposed to thequick-buck-grabbing and greed based phoney advertising that is becoming more & more prevelant.Blake Harris and Harris Automotive conform to to former rather than the latter and I highly recommend giving them a chance for your automotive care & maintenance needs - I promise, you wont be dissapointed!!
