I live up the street from this coffee and antique shop. I visit it often. I always visit the coffee area first for a great hot mocha or ice coffee. Then, I head over to the antiques for some amazing treasures and buys. This place is a great to visit year round. And well decorated and organized for each and every big holiday. Christmas time is my fav!!! This place is not just a store, it’s an experience. Even my teenagers love the stroll we take through this place. I have lived in San Diego for 25 years and I can honestly say with out a doubt it’s one of my favorite places to visit in San Diego!!

Went today on a hunt for certain items. I found a few things that I HAD to have and saw quite a few I might go back for but this place is amazing. Next time I will have to get coffee from their cafe in back. Great place to meander looking at so many neat items, quite a lot with history. And the staff is very helpful and nice. And if you don’t see what you’re looking for you can sign a book with what you are looking for and the dealer will call you. A-M-A-ZING!

Are you looking for a shop where you can buy a holiday card or home decor, host a tea party or wedding, attend a sewing class? This is it!Ive driven by it dozens of times, but finally decided to go in last Friday and Im absolutely glad I did! I was promptly greeted by Marylnne and we had a great conversation about everything the shop offers.Ive been noticing their new mini farmers market on Sundays, featuring produce and bbq. I cant wait to try it out. I will definitely be returning soon!

Friendly staff. We like to walk through there periodically to see whats on display. All the different vendors have great stuff. Sometimes something catches your eye and you buy it and sometimes its just enjoyable to walk through and look.

The Mercantile is such a fun place to visit. Maybe youll find memories from the past, or handmade treasures. Even if you dont find something special to take home, youll just enjoy being there.

I hadnt been there in a while and apparently they have done some moving around of sales items and it really has made a difference. Much more open and easier to see items for sale.

We had so much fun browsing the shop and felt they should charge a fee for the museum like experience. A great trip down memory lane. We ate at Lake Lindo Grill and then hopped over to check out the Mercantile. I did buy a jam jar to send to my brother for his birthday. Wish I could see his face when he opens the parcel! Going to visit soon--first the Lake Lindo Grill and then The Mercantile again. Lots I want to buy for gifts.
